>release refresh model of proven reliable firearm, now with optics cut

I was surprised that they even did a P07 Gen 2, but you can tell it's a half-assed attempt from the forward slide serrations. They're a completely different angle and style than the rear serrations, so you know the company put almost zero effort into the gun.

When did we start accepting globohomo again?

I was out shooting mine today, I quite like it all things considered, should probably Canjunize it. The retard reviewers were all putting too-long screws in the optic mount which I believe fucked with the extractor, I actually put mine together correctly and it's been 100% reliable so far. Also the mags take any other P series baseplate including the +2 round ones.

I apologize. what I meant to say was that that is an Imperial German Mauser K98k. Easily pre 60s. They didn’t solder barrels to barrel extensions back then did they? I’m hesitant to MAP the barrel up past 600°F to find out. I don’t think it is.

A more general question, has that ever been a method to time bbls in place?
>>
>>64747214
dude i dont care that its not milsurp i want to know what it is
model 11/ 11-48? i think the barrel extension is an integral forged part. idk anything about newer remingtons
and what do you mean by timing barrels
>>
>>64747212
Jeez real boomer hours today
>>64747227
11. My barrel extension is cracked and is trash and is expendable. However I’m trying to save the barrel to throw onto the new extension I have already sitting next to the barrel vice on the bench. Shits not budging. I’ve applied some heat so far but it hasn’t cracked it yet. I’ve applied enough force already to bend the rails the extension though I do have a cheap eBay trash action wrench.
>>
>>64747057
Who the hell is buying these anyways? It’s not like M48s are particularly rare or expensive.

Sp101 or gp100 for my first wheel gun? I'd like to be able to just pocket carry which is why was leaning toward the sp101 but the big fuck off look of a gp 100 is pretty tempting.
>>
>>64747234
The SP is just a little too big for pocket carry for most, I'd prioritize a LCR or 442 in that case. For high round counts at the range and OWB in the field, you can't beat the GP

I was wondering why people would willingly subject themselves to the absolute deluge of AI slop, then I see shit like this and realize they're basically on the same level.
I refuse to give this shit any form of interaction, so spoonfeed me. Is there an actual plot reason given for why they would even consider a shotgun over a pistol for a close-range assassination or does it just "look moar kewl"? Why they would send three men to take out a singular, presumably bedridden dude? Why left dude's mag is already more than half empty but right dude's is completely full?
Hollywood not burning to the ground during the blazes was a crying shame.

Is it normal for a bit of lead to shave off when pressing the bullets in?
Also I accidentally seated one bullet about 3mm too deep but these are mostly empty powderpuff 44 loads so that’s not dangerous, right?

do bear in mind that a couple of arrows pierced the brigandine plate in Tod's test, and were only saved by the underlying chainmail and arming doublet
Tod is being a little disingenuous (as usual) in claiming that the plate is resisting the arrows. it's not the plate per se; it's the whole multi-layered ensemble

A DnD dragon would still be viable on the modern battlefield because its giant lizard with an IQ of 180 which can sprint fly at over 200mph, teleport several hundred miles at time, melt steel with a thought, spray psychoactive mustard gas over miles of terrain, breath underwater, perfectly imitate any human it sees once, poison any water within 300ft, cast Wish Spells several times a day, read and control minds at will, make an entire division fall over laughing if tells a joke, has innate thermal vision, construct bridgeheads in minutes, make everybody who can see it shit their pants, ect, ect.

Dragons are bullshit.
>>
>>64746238
A reasonably old DND dragon isn't viable because you have no way to make him give a shit about your objectives and worse, if he really did care he'd just take over your country and win your war by teleporting demons into your enemy's leader's bathrooms.

>1300's-1400's
It would be a YUGE factor. In our timeline, gunpowder was discovered by alchemists searching for an elixir of eternal life. In this timeline, gunpowder is invented specifically to kill dragons. Black Powder would be a game-changer and Smokeless Powder can be made as early as the 1500's if there is enough incentive and people working to discover it. The various ingredients to make gunpowder were known to Classical civilizations, it's just no one had the depth of knowledge or incentive to create it. Dragons change that.

I'd wager we'd have gunpowder weapons sooner than in our current timeline.

Armies would be smaller in number, lighter, and more elite units, as soldiers would have to be VERY well-drilled to handle dragon attacks.

>Missile infantry
Used to distract or possibly even get a lucky kill and to harass/suppress enemy infantry
>Pikemen/Spearmen
Used to protect Combat Engineers and a last ditch anti-dragon formation. The sarissa is the primary anti-dragon infantry weapon.
>Combat Engineer
A cross between Missile and Skirmisher infantry; well trained at crewing animal-drawn weapons like Catapults, Ballista, Trebuchet, and other artillery weapons. Later, they get cannons. Able to also engage in siege works, build camps, and even conduct engineering operations for the marching army.

AA/CIWS is the best possible use for lasers so I don't see the problem.

See above quote, and Japan picking up the slack while America dawdles only proves my point.

MARAUDER definitely had a longer range than 20 feet.

Bulky, noisy, creates too much CO2 for door kicking, runs hot enough to be an ATGM magnet, engine case weighs a fuckton.
>AA/CIWS is the best possible use for lasers so I don't see the problem.
Time to kill is an issue.
>MARAUDER definitely had a longer range than 20 feet.
Pretty sure MARAUDER got scrapped. It's been radio silent for 30 years.
>All it needs to do is carry equipment.
So...a car?

It's more that the ideas always seem 5 years away. Proponents say the tech is just over the horizon but they've been saying that for decades and the tech still isn't here. The first powered exoskeleton, the Hardiman I, came out in the 50s and We STILL don't have a production model.
