Ok but how did the SEAD work?
How do you know where the EAD is to S them?
Is Dan Caine so autistic as to get the CIA to locate every single EAD and beyond? Every manpad and radar?
Doesn't sound realistic. You telling me this is the same military that lost helis to Somalian pirates? Lost billions worth of equipment in a rout against the Taliban?
What the fuck is going on?
Is it actually because AirForceGODS are good at our job while the navy and army suck?

The fact that a president of a state could be kidnapped by SOF, doesn't it mean that nuclear war could be "won" against a nuclear power? Just send SOF, kidnap their president alongside his "nuclear football". Point a gun in the head of his wife and kids so he gives up the nuclear codes. Then proceed to nuke each airbase of that country and naval bases with nuclear bombers and SSBNs and the major cities of that country. This leaves only the patrolling SSBNs for launching a counter strike. But still, this "simple" specops mission would have transformed a massive, unmanageable nuclear exchange into a limited engagement that modern Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) might actually be able to manage and thus win the nuclear war.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-delegation_authority
>Pre-delegation authority is the practice by United States presidents to empower military commanders to initiate nuclear attacks in various circumstances. This authority is typically kept classified, so the American public has always been told that the president has the sole and exclusive authority to start nuclear war. It is not publicly known to what extent, if at all, the current U.S. president has pre-delegated their nuclear authority.[1]
>The practice began in the 1950s under President Dwight D. Eisenhower and would continue through at least the administration of Jimmy Carter.[2][3] It was only officially revealed to the public in 1998 when his instructions enacting the practice were declassified.[2] Similar practices exist in other nuclear states, such as the Soviet Union and now Russia's Dead Hand system.

Okay zigger

It's almost time for $0 tax stamps. You can finally, legally, have fun. Buy a $400 P1S from Bambu, some Pa6-cf filament from polymaker, and get to work.

Some 3dp2a guys released the FTN 5.0 suppressors recently. There are suppressors for pistols, pcc's, and rifles. Let's talk about the last one.

To start out you will need ONE of these muzzle devices:
>Breek threaded muzzle+ Castle Shield <-Best one
>KAK slimline micro flash can
>1/2x28 to 3/4x16 thread adapter

Now you can print an insert that will attach the suppressor body to the muzzle device. The breek insert is a clamshell design. Put the two halves onto the castle shield and screw on the suppressor assembly. The other two will need some epoxy.

IF you want the suppressor to be permanent, epoxy the threads of the insert and suppressor body. It'll help with the longevity and make a better gas seal.

The main body will NEED to be supported by a sleeve. You can print the sleeve, but the lifespan is shorter with a lot of restrictions. You can use a 56mm ID and 60mm OD aluminum OR carbon fiber tube with jb weld. You can also use fiberglass and resin wrapped around the tube, but this is less effective.

There are multiple files online that use 3d printed baffles and 3d printed tubes, even the threading is plastic.

Could I use these metal baffles with a 3d printed sleeve and metal thread adapter. I habe PLA+ and ABS, should I print the sleeve in ABS because its more heat resistant if the baffles are metal.
>>
>>64727414
I'm not a 3d printing expert, but the tube is what holds everything together. Ideally it's metal, alibaba carbon fiber tubes seem to be the bare minimum (the hush puppy is the exception to this. I'd expect 3d printed suppressors to basically be consumables for anything other than .22lr or low volume of fire pistol rounds. Machined aluminum isn't sufficient for rifle rounds so I don't see how plastics could be equivalent, let alone better.
>>
>>64727432
I plant to use the suppressor with 9mm
>>
>>64727444
Even so, the tube holds the pressure. Everything released in the gatalog has at least been tested so you should be able to get feedback on how much abuse you can give it. I wouldn't expect to be dumping multiple mags through plastic without getting a problem, suppressors heat up faster than any part of the firearm. Oh, and the statute actually considers suppressor kits to be suppressors themselves so if you order anything that is considered a baffle and don't go through an SOT you're likely ordering through a honeypot without the protection against constructive possession that is offered for every other title 2 firearm.

I just spent forever (fucking weeks) trying to buy fully legal parts for an AR15 in Washington so I made www.compliantarms.com over the weekend to make it easier for others.

It aggregates AR15 parts listings that will ship to Washington from a few of the biggest firearms sites. For example, the only PSA listings on there are complete uppers since for whatever reason that’s all they’ll send.

Have seen others having problems finding websites that ship as well so I figure it’s needed but do you guys think I should expand it to more states and more categories?

Some people just take a risk and openly ignore the law, hoping that nobody cares enough to enforce it. I've seen suppressors at public ranges in California and the one time it resulted in actual arrest was because the owner was dumb enough to forget his gun with a homemade can still bolted to it at the range. Because police had to recover the firearm, they had to investigate it.

It is uncommon because the consequences of somebody who has the power and cares enough to fuck you over this finding out are dire, and I don't personally recommend being that brazen, but some people do it anyway.
>>
>>64721773
Nice. Though I've seen NY plebbitors complain that PSA is inconsistent with what they'll ship. You can add an upper to your order only to get a message afterwards that they won't fulfill it. Goes through for some, not others.

I'm like 85% sure it was including the Highcum 4SSS2 on the initial, very early draft of the redone bag infograph. For those unaware, this is a $1,750 a set 5.74lb SAPI M, Level IV. It has been Highcom's flagship since 2008 when it was sold alongside the original, real, actually 0101.04 certified 4SAS4. It is the definition of 0101.04 holdout model. It is not tested for the .06 drop test and is not actively cert.
It sucks and there's no reason to buy it.
>>
>>64727484
Maybe, I didn't really know their lineup well at the time and Apex outright lies about the specs. So it could have seemed better than it was at first glance.
>>
>>64727493
It's aged extremely poorly since last year due to new developments. The Archon is about $600 cheaper a set and mogs it in every way. Neither plate is *lab* drop-tested at this time so there's no argument in favor of the 4SSS2. Archon does very well on youtube, apparently.
Gilliam 9969 weighs the same as the 4SSS2 but is about a third of the price. Both are advertised IV + M995.
The 4SSS2's niche was that it's a Silicon Carbide plate and not B4C like the 4800, 26310, 9812, etc so it won't get auto-busted by M995 out of a 20". The Archon and 9969 stole that niche from under it.

Last thing, Highcom redid their lineup into ICON - basic, ENHANCED - mid-range, and SUPERIOR - high-end. The 4SSS2 is only enhanced, so they're likely prepping a new flagship as part of their big 2026 drop. Get ready... for the retvrn of Apex.

How the fuck do you even make mechs make tactical sense?

They present a high as fuck target, have these thin chicken legs with a million moving parts, exert ludicrous ground pressure. They cost probably as much as a nuclear submarine, are limited by line of sight, would be fucked up by a tank, couldn't touch a modern jet that could kill it from 30000 feet high and 10 miles away etc.

Like how the hell do you bend the rules of your universe to make these

I wouldn't be sperging out about this if Battletech was lemonade sci-fi running on the rule of cool and the power of friendship, but its intended audience was milsim autists who willingly bought hundred-page pretend technical manuals for these pieces of garbage.

I made throwing spikes and rope darts when I was a teenager; you're right they are simple. Once I figured out how you could use drag on the tail end and more weight in the "nose" to make sure they flew point-forward I fooled around a lot with that kind of stuff. But that was mostly playing around whittling while out camping and such, I've never tried to make anything like that but nice. Thanks for the suggestion though, I might play with that in the future. They don't require much wood which is a great thing--it means I can make them from offcuts or smaller, cheaper, pieces.

>>64725663
I thought about the spike on the end--that would definitely be more functional-- but decided to leave it off so that the pattern of veneer was more visible. I took a lot of care to get that pattern lined up perfectly so I wanted to show it off.
I haven't added anything to the hammer yet. I do agree that would be a functional improvement, but I've been more interested in later projects rather than going back and modifying that one. I might still do it, it's just hasn't been a high priority. I've been meaning to go back and make some kind of decoration on the top end of the nut mace but I haven't done that either.

Anyway, I've currently got 4 new projects lined up with most of the materials already on hand and a bunch of ideas to think about for future ones, so I've got a pretty full plate!
>>
It is neat how maces are smaller headed than we think. When you said what your project was I was imagining in my head some big, almost axe like clubhead. But of course that's not what they are like. Yours is real cool.

These would be very painful (4u) to get hit by. If you're interested in a weird mace, look up those egyptian mace-axes. Might be neat for you to try and make
