Writefag here, I’m looking for real “out there” firearms that are advanced looking but not too impractical for my sci-fi setting.

G11 is about as good as you can choose. It made it through trials and into initial production and worked well, if the Cold War had ended 5 years later it'd have seen a significant amount of mass production and might have gotten far enough to still be around. The action is actually pretty cool and there are a lot of neat features about it, and the caseless is still futuretech.

I suppose if you want something in more a DMR or sniping role the WA2000 would be a classic pick, also worked well but expensive and it's still a pretty beautiful gun in my opinion. One amazing kommando actually made a really credible clone of it.

GM6 Lynx or a scifi derivative might also fit in somewhere for anti-armor. If your setting has cyborgs or something maybe 50cal semi-auto actually is valuable.

The G11 is a shitpile that couldn't even match the M16's performance. So was the Steyr, but at least it doesn't look like ass.
>>
>>64754501
Are you specifically looking for guns that match the G11's aesthetic, it's era, ones that are novel like it is?
Tell us a bit more about what you're going for.

Is this a new Discord psyop?

Realistically, what firearm would you need to take down a rampaging Na'vi from the Avatar films? Nine feet of solid muscle and bone (reinforced with natural carbon fibre), extremely fast-moving and agile, fighting on their own turf with very short engagement distances? There's no way 5.56 mm would cut it, would 7.62mm be enough?

I use the CSS Tabuk on my 12.5" AMD when I take it indoors and it does a good job.

nah cause if its anything like the other uncommon stamped guns ex: SAR-80, Pe57 then the receivers will be way too expensive.

I just finished my VZ-58 reweld. It has the OG 15.5" barrel that I p&w with the CSA muzzle device. I'm gonna have to do something about the gas tube because it rattles worse than any AK I've ever had. In total I probably spent about $400 on it after I sold the jig.

Yeah, a lot of people swear by the three line system. Absolute essentials and everyday carry on belt, that's first line. Second line is armor and fighting gear. Third line backpack, sustainment. Fourth line would be your vehicle.
The premise is that if you have to ditch equipment you aren't completely tied to your armor and can operate without it at a baseline level.

An interview with Duo Yingxian in the November issue of Ordnance Knowledge

《兵器知识》11月刊对朵英贤的采访

Duo Yingxian: Chinese Automatic Weapons Expert, Professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Born in 1932, Duo graduated in 1956 from the Beijing Institute of Technology, specializing in Automatic Weapons Design. He served as the technical lead for the Chinese Type 67 general-purpose machine gun and the Type 95 (QBZ-95) rifle family. He was elected as an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1999. His published works include Chinese Automatic Weapons, Longitudinal Vibration in Engineering, and New Compendium of Automatic Weapons.

'Originally, the 2004 "95-1" project was supposed to focus on improving the Type 95 itself. However, the military’s primary focus wasn't the 95 itself; they wanted to modify it based on the Russian AN-94 (fielded in 1994). Due to major disagreements, the ordnance system selected a different Chief Designer to lead the 95-1. The task force immediately studied the AN-94 proposal, but in 2005, the Russian AN-94 was decommissioned due to severe reliability issues. China subsequently stopped that research and shifted focus to "ammunition unification" (merging two rounds into one). In 2005, the ordnance system issued a directive for the 208 Institute, 255 Factory, 204 Institute, 791 Factory, and 671 Factory to jointly tackle this unification. I had hoped to implement ergonomic improvements to the rifle during the later stages of the 95-1 development, but I didn't expect it to be delayed by the universal round.'

What tools for self defense would you recommend for someone in Europe to have when shit goes down. There are black powder revolvers shotguns and rifles, but you can't buy them everywhere in Europe. There are crossbows and bows but what is really their capacity to defend, and of course air rifles, in some countries they are unrestricted in some countries they are cucked and they are a hassle to have around in the case of an emergency. Better yet what should everybody own, not just weapons, in case they want to survive more than 72 hours.

Mind you, the most likely use for this is giving it to a friend who has no gun. While you carry a gun.

Australians are living too good a life to want to invade your shithole, which means you will probably invade Aus in your hypothetical, which will probably mean you will be deleted from your islands via tactical nuclear weapons due to Aus being the main resource hub for not only Indonesia but the entire world.

You don't attack the country sending you the iron ore needed to build your military.

Given that you believe in stupid prophesies you are probably dumb enough to believe this superpower cope though.
