Anyways since you seem to enjoy mechanical/machine related discussions here is how a Swiss STGW57 is made. The majority of the video is on the barrel and I find old stock footage videos like this with all the machine operations done by skilled employees borderline porn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsYyfJLFuDI

Sweet jesus yes. Wish I could find a proper job to learn the old Bridgeports and lathes in the states but everyone's some crusty old curmudgeon who refuses to take an apprentice let alone hire.

Post your favorites, saw this and thought you might all be interested.

It's about what you're trying to get out of it. A lot of "people" go in with warped expectations because of The Scene, without putting 2 and 2 together that there's probably a reason why there aren't any more like it getting posted.

Which isn't compatible with the shotgun or the pistols.
>>
>>64776513
I believe it's one for the subcompact, one for the compact or full size, one for the rifle, and one for the shotgun. That makes four 4473s.
>>
>>64776465
I'm interested in a tiny braced pistol chassis but only to replace the .300 BLK AR I keep disassembled in a backpack. I like having something more than a handgun with me when I travel for work in certain areas. I stay in hotels about 50 days a year. Having to assemble an upper, lower, put a mag in, and rack a round into the chamber is kinda slow. Especially when deploying it from a bag.

I can see an argument for going back and forth between regular handgun and pdw if you feel like larping at the range for a day. But yeah, I'd probably just end up buying two at that point if they're cheap enough.
>>
>>64776465
>have the exact same trigger pull on your EDC, pocket pistol, range toy, and OC innawoods gun
>only need one 4473 for multiple gun configurations
>don't have to worry about frame failure, it's a chunk of polymer without a serial
>only the carrier is technically serialized, all the internals are ship to door parts
You people are so small minded. If they can use the same MFC for multiple calibers even better.
>well I wouldn't
Cool, I sure as hell would love to fill out one form and then ensure that any gun I took out of the house was setup exactly the same as any other gun because internally it is exactly the same. It's like arguing against buying one lower, putting good parts in it, and swapping uppers onto it.

Hey fuckers, clean your guns. Grab one and shitpost with me. ATF optional.

Why such a specific range?

And the math works out to about 0.35 inches. At that range it is basically linear.
>>
>>64773728
I think 36 zero has the smallest variation out to 300 meters while still allowing you to hold center of mass for every target within those distances.
>>
>>64773728
>>64773735
36 yards is the marine zero for M4s and it replicates the old m16a1 zero where your apex is only like 3.5 inches high, your far zero is at like 280 yards and you are like 3.5 inches low at 300 yards. it's the best zero for a 16 inch AR but it you can't zero at that range 50 yards is fine for any range you could reasonably shoot someone in self defense

>Decide to go camping at a lake innawoods inna RV with ma (pa isn't in the picture for some reason, I guess it'd have to be work-related?)
>Hmm, I should bring some guns to be safe, but what should I take?
>Decide to take a Desert Eagle in .50 AE, a full-frame revolver in .44 magnum as backup, and a slightly smaller .357 revolver as a backup for the backup, which I'm pretty sure was a fucking MP-412 REX of all things
>Pull up at the lakeside, get our stuff unpacked, it is at this point that I load the guns, not before leaving home. The .357 is missing. Whatevs, it's in one of our bags somewhere, I'll find it eventually.
>Most of the morning goes without incident. We raft around the lake a bit, then get ready to get grilling for lunch.
>At this point, HEAVY fog rolls in. Visibility is maybe 15m?
>Look up the trail from where the grill's been set up near the RV, and that's when I see it: a grizzly bear. And a wolf.
>Our dog (a husky) is distracting them both. Good boy.
>Use the distraction to fall back to a secondary campsite which is where the raft dock is about maybe 15m or 20m from the RV, which is where I left my guns for some reason, instead of keeping them on my person.
>Eh, fuck it, I care about my hearing and don't need ALL of this ammo, so I pull a couple of rounds from the Deagle and stuff them in my ears as makeshift earplugs.
>Upon returning to the RV, the bear is currently up inna tree next to the grill being harassed by doggie, while ma is wrestling with the wolf.
>Decide to go for the bear first, since it's technically the bigger threat and ma is apparently badass enough to hold a wolf at bay by herself with zero concerns of being hurt.
>Dump half the mag of .50 AE into the bear's head, the thing flops out of the tree like a sack of potaotes.

>Transition targets, press the muzzle into the side of the wolf and dump the rest of the mag, which the thing somehow tanks but only barely. Ma literally throws it to the ground judo-style.
>Draw .44 magnum, finish it off with multiple headshots.
>Thanks to my quick thinking and superior firepower, the day is saved and nobody got hurt!

You have a moderately sized military force and you have to deal with several hundred of these things. Here’s what you gotta remember about them:
>Nearly immortal, body can be damaged but the only thing that can kill them is fire
>sever a limb and it will keep coming after you
>burning them isn’t advised because the gasses inside will reanimate any corpses around them, including animals
>They do feel pain, from injury and their rotting bodies
>eating brains relieves said pain
>they’re very smart, able to fake calls for backup and set up ambushes
>speed depends on the state of decay, fresher corpses run like a human
>nuking them would kill them, but it would spread the trioxin gas further and make a bigger outbreak in the end
Well, /k/? You gotta get creative with this one.

>>
>>64776809
Retard, you dont even know what the calibers are called. This is some gamerbrainrot definitions.

MMG, full power cartridge, belt fed, usually QCB, usually Open Bolt. Typically mounted or affixed in position and requires a Gunner and AG to operate properly.

GPMG, MMG that is light enough to be used effectively by a single operator.

LMG, Intermediate cartridge, belt fed, usually QCB, usually open bolt. Light enough to be used by a single operator

SAW, Any weapon that can be used for sustained automatic fire at a Squad level for advancing positions and giving cover fire for squad movements. (GPMG, LMG, LSW)

LSW, Any intermediate cartidge gun that can be used for sustained automatic fire but does not have a QCB.

MMG and GPMGs are typically used against "light" vehicles and infantry. These weapons are typically used by a dedicated squad used to help out on a platoon level and are the overwatchers of multiple squads

LMAO at your larper shit. Buddy there's GPMGs in real fukin NATO and SAWs in speedy void in the real world. All this larper shit dating back to the first world war is irrelevant. You're trying to cover ever minuta when the guns basically fall into the two categories I just laid out in the real world.

>B...but HMGs
No one's confused about those fag. There's only one relevant gun in that category for most of the world.
>>
>>64776340
I want one bad, but that's probably just cause I'm real familiar with the rifle since I'm a poorfag. You don't actually own one, do you? I've seen that there's people out there who offer them, but what does it really cost? I also wonder how it differs from the real thing. Not that I'll ever have the money to buy this shit...

Because of the locking lug on the barrel, S&W's with barrels under 3" have short ejector rods that dont actually push the full case out when you eject. They can have all the cases come out with inertia, but the odds of a case needed to be pulled out with your fingers are much higher with the sub 3" Smiths. Do any of the snub nose Colts or Rugers have this problem or is it only because of the Smith locking lug?
