Auré is absolutely right about experimenting. You'll never learn the ins & outs without seeing what happens when you use x instead of y. Just make a handful of prompts changing fabric materials to see what it makes, or lighting or styles, try out some uncommon colors like burgundy or vermillion, also know that with declarative statements you can just prompt nonsense stuff & get cool pics. What does a gnarled ultraviolet cheese tree look like? Prompt it & see. Maybe it will help you jury rig a hard to make prompt later on.

New year new me edition

>Cyberpunk 2020 vs. Cyberpunk RED?
Cyberpunk 2020 is the second edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG that focuses on simulation gameplay and has a black trenchcoat aesthetic.

Cyberpunk RED is the fourth edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG that is set after Cyberpunk 2020 following the Fourth Corporate War, focuses on more balanced gameplay and is more streamlined but has less content.

You can discuss Shadowrun here too because I also feel bad for those guys.

>city got a clean nuke and life got fucked because of lack of items so most people are living in closed groups
whats weirder is that the scavs in the time are nice, and not obviously grabbing everything thats glued to the floor. It would make more for sense for scavs to be worse in the time of Red than 2070s, not the other way around. It was a perfect time to establish that scavs are roaches because of their every man for himself lifestyle. What the fuck?

I've been sort of glancing through it, it assumes a somewhat higher baseline technology level than CP2020 with shit like personal lasers. It's not really a setting though, it's gurps, so it's a toolkit to make your own setting. There is a setting book, gurps cyberworld.

This is what I think an Israel in The Red and/or 2077 would look like.
>West bank is reduced to radioactive cinders by the meltdown.
>Rumor has it Mossad netrunners deliberately redirected the nukes intended for Tel Aviv to Palestine.
>Unproven. But feeds both antisemetic and pro-israel conspiracy theories.
>The Jordan River is so polluted you can't baptise people. The Salt sea is radioactive.
>Cyberware becomes common among palestinian survivors of the meltdown due to the high rates of cancer.
>It's frequently debated in the media if attacks by borged up palestinians are jihadist attacks, cyberpsychosis, or both.
>Israel used the chaos of the war to annex parts of the Negev and consolidate authority over the Levant
>Egypt and Syria demand stolen land be returned to them that was annexed after the meltdown, but Israel hasn't budged.
>Dome of the Rock is now a Synagogue.. Muslims the world over are pissed.
>The third temple hasn't been built. Yet. But there are serious talks about it in the Knesset.
>Secular and Orthodox Jews butt heads over this. Wondering if rebuilding the temple is poor optics.
>All of the Abrahamic faiths are understandably traumatized by the meltdown.

Depends on what you're looking for. I'm only familiar with the VtM ones. There's some good ideas, but they can often be really railroady. For example, Fountains of Bright Crimson, a VTDA premade set in Jerusalem has its plot hinge on a vital lead being cutscene-killed by an Assamite despite the potential for PCs to theoretically have enough auspex to spot the 'mite, and the victim being a knight from a clan with Fortitude, aka the only discipline that could give him a tiny chance to survive an aggravated damage sneak attack. I ended up having to rewrite a lot because I hate railroading and hey, the overstatted Assamite rolled poorly, so the dude narrowly survived. Despite that, there's a lot of interesting stuff going on and it lets the PCs have a brush with the power of an Antediluvian.

For modern nights stuff, I like some of the Chicago premades. While setting-specific, you could theoretically rewrite them for other cities relatively easily. There's one about the PCs being caught in a literal chess game between two Methuselah, and unlike most Methuselah plots, they aren't completely impotent. Their actions influence which Methuselah wins, even if the chess players are too strong for them to directly fight outside of a fluke of the dice. If you want something wild, there's one premade story about a holocaust survivor that blames vampires for the third reich, and is working on an anti-vampire bioweapon. Fun to have a hunter who is a frail old man relying entirely on his intellect. I'd stay away from most of the Revised era premades, since the PCs spend a lot more time being passive observers to metaplot updates.
>>
>>97373081
I've read good things about the OG Chicago by Night/Ashes to Ashes, though I'm not sure if the V20 Dust to Dust kept that quality. Other recommendations I've seen are Giovanni Chronicles and Diablerie Mexico, personally I can attest throwing newbies into Blood Nativity while making sure to keep the pre-embrace scenes brief makes for a fun time of "you're a vampire, now what?" before the coterie gets in trouble and you throw the Sheriff at them.
>>
>>97373688
I remember an anon recommending an adventure where your coterie was converted at a lab of some kind and you were trying to find your sire and understand your clan, so the adventure let you play around with starting disciplines as sort of soft-caitiffs. It was pretty interesting but I don't remember the name or if the guy himself made it

The results are in. Silverage has had a disastrous season 0; massive winners in format are already emerging before the official competitive launch event in London. Everything rides on the next set supporting it already, CC as well. Given their track record, LSS rarely moves the needle that dramatically. There's the old West End Games D6 system. WEG is loved by many here, but I've seen anons say they find it a bit clunky by modern standards. I don't see it, but I will say it's very number crunchy. A classic, but not everyone likes dice pools.
More info:
http://d6holocron.com/downloads/wegcore.html

There's the Star Wars D20 system published by Wizards. The Saga Edition is the latest edition from 2007. Would be fairly familiar to people used to D&D's third edition.
Here's a wiki for more
https://swse.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Wars_Saga_Edition_Wikia
And just because it popped up on the front page of google, a pdf of the core rulebook.
https://www.theberserker.net/berserker/sw/rule_books/SW_Saga_Edition_Core_Rulebook.pdf

Then there's Fantasy Flight Game's systems, Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion and Force and Destiny. They're very cross-compatible so they're often lumped together as just FFG's Star Wars. In contrast to WEG's crunchiness, FFG is a bit light and fluffy. I personally enjoyed this, but I do recommend having plenty of house rules. For example, it's designed to be entirely theater of the mind and its weapons have range bands (e.g., Engaged, Short, Medium, Long, etc.) that are meant to be abstract. My group crunched those down to feet (Engaged-30 feet was Short, 30-60 feet was Medium, etc.) so we could use minis during combat. I find it a good way to keep track of where everything is.
And I like to turn players loose on a map and say "go, explore."
It does have a gazillion extra books, and most are out of print. The links in the OP should still have PDFs of them all.

FFG never stated that race, but honestly I think either Sakiyans or Arkanians will probably work fine.

Still need to decide what they’d point to and think “that’s a goblin”, or “that’s a Kobold”, and I especially need to figure out what species they’d think were gnomes.

Through with some time, I’m suspecting that if they think Trandoshans are Dragonborn, then they probably think Wookies are bugbears.

And I am definitely having them associate droids with the undead, (so anytime local adventures talk about battling zombies or skeletons, know they were likely fighting droids)

But one bit of… serendipity I want to put in was that the ship that rediscovered these “Dungeon worlds” was a Lucrehulk named: TFS Sigil (“TFS” standing for “Trade Federation Ship”)
>>

>WEG is loved by many here, but I've seen anons say they find it a bit clunky by modern standards. I don't see it, but I will say it's very number crunchy.
I always thought that system was really simple - at least the 1E version. It didn't even require initiative rolls or have ammo limits on weapons originally.

Hmm... for an actual racing scenario, I would probably implement turn mode rules and some kind of expanded pilot skill failure table that includes skidding, scrambling to keep moving at least partially while almost falling and overstraining your myomer as possibilities. Ditch skidding on pavement, it's redundant when turn modes are in play, assume all racers are sprinting by default, maybe split the movement phase into two or three separate phases that each gets an equal fraction of total MP.

Same. It does serve as a decent litmus test for the realm of possibility when you account for the ranges on offer. Particularly the Inner Sphere rolling with a pure 1d6 while Clans being intended to roll with a 1d6+2 if they are piloting a mech and 1d6-2 (min. 0) if not.
Allows catching of a couple out-of-flavor stats than the step-by-one won't. For instance, even in the most elite units, a non-mech Clanner is going to be fairly out of the ordinary with a 2 Piloting or 1 Gunnery.

I don't think that stunning the player if they lack a card for a combo is the right course of action there. Especially if you're trying to make it like a yugioh combo, the activations would be illegal.

If you want some games with card-based mechanics that you can pull inspiration from,
>Touhou Hisoutensoku/its soku-style fighters
These ones are fighting games where you'd cycle through a deck of cards that you construct before each of the matches begin, where they can either be activated as buffs for the characters' standard attacks, act as supers, or generic effects. Supers used the cards "in your hand" as a cost, and you couldn't put cards back "into your deck" until the round resets.

Given that you're making a MOBA, if you use a system based on this, I'd just make it so you're using a pre-determined set of cards for each character that you can tweak with the shops after the match begins. That way the players have time to edit their builds pre-match, and also allowing them to edit them at the shops when they respawn. Make it so that you can run out of cards and have to go back to resupply to refresh your deck.

>Duelist of the Roses
This one was an old Yugioh TTG on the PS2. Basically you'd draw 5 cards each turn, and you could arbitrarily discard/destroy cards in your hand, using a first-in-first-out system. It's easier to just look up gameplay to wrap your head around that system.

Then there's the DBFZ mod that the other anon mentioned

DotR gameplay

It's likely that neither of these will translate 1:1 to what you're doing, but you can probably extract at least a little bit of inspiration from these.

Tangentially related; If you haven't played either of these, I recommend them. The soku-style touhou fighters have rollback mods available, and have storymodes available in singleplayer (the first two have them for every character while Soku only has it for a few) and Duelist of the Roses has a few good overhaul patches floating around to make it so the gameplay isn't (as) braindead easy.

That site is mostly used by dumb coomlectors who want people to pay hundreds of dollars for their worthless cardboard.
>you don't get it bro, my beat up structure deck dark magician is worth 10k! never mind that it's in terrible condition, isn't 1st ed, and isn't graded, someone once sold this exact same card in this site for that much, so i want 8k minimum for it
Actual players or people who sell ygo cards for a living use tcgplayer.

That also makes sense. It does to little I guess, even for the era. If you don't mind, what about Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman? Would it be too strong for the "GX-era", again considering just the card with none of the support. With DNA Surgery it could be quite strong, no?
