I think all the new rules are gonna be shit we're already familiar with. If I had to guess at any "new" rules would be something with rapid fire always using random hit locations. Otherwise I am 100% on it just being a sidebar at the slam rules explaining the DF slam rules, or a sidebar explaining the alternate weapon skills from Alt Gurps, ect.

Anon wasn't asking for tailored recommendations, he was asking what others think are good on the safe assumption that most people don't have bad taste so anything named was unlikely to be bad.
As you forgot what was written a post or two back: he was asking about modules for friends who haven't played OSR before. He isn't after a module for him specifically, he's after a generally good module with broad appeal for new players again acting on the assumption that a module members of the community think is good for new players is in fact likely to be good for new players. He wants a good introduction for them rather than trying one and finding it's a poor fit that turns them off. Easy ask, even if he didn't specify system.

Specifically I can't say much in particular because I stopped using it at least a year ago. In general, they do just about everything in what is they worst way possible so there be mistakes like a card that can search for Imperialdramon not allowing a specific cad to be searched because they forgot to include it's name in the list. Some triggers not working as intended on a card, but the same or a similar effect on another card works just fine because they do those per card as well. The honest answer is that they really have no idea what they're doing and learned the absolute basics from some bad tutorials for unity and are just running with it.

The revolver will still be quieter. Semi-automatic actions are very loud even if the report is completely suppressed, so if you want something truly quiet then you need to use an action that doesn't cycle on its own. Which leaves you with a hand cycled action e.g. a bolt action welrod, or you need some flavor of revolver e.g. the nagant or OTS 38. Of those, revolvers are the most capable, but at the cost of being the most complicated due to either needing captive piston ammo or a mechanism to seal the cylinder gap.

Or you can do what early prototypes of the Mk23 did, and have a latch on your semi-automatic that locks the slide in place and effectively get a conventional semi-automatic that can be converted into a single shot handgun if utmost stealth is required.

I can understand the appeal of the fallen elven empire, as this perfectly embodies the melancholy of past glory and romanticism of ruins that you often find in high fantasy. It gives a great adventuring hook, to explore these ruins and find elfen artifacts and grand magic of the past.
However, I also really tire of it, especially as some pro-elf supremacist that wants to see them win and do cool stuff. Not just in the past. Feel like this trope is sometimes just an excuse for the writer to lash out at elves or use them as a punching bag for whatever else race. Or they need to write elves like stupid assholes that shot themselves into the foot because that's what elves do, right.

One setting, there was this big apocalypse some thousand years ago, and I made my elves the first to establish stable kingdoms. Other powers managed to catch up, but this way, they are still an "old civilization" in a way.
However, one anon once said something like "fallen kingdoms and empires is such a human thing", and it resonated with me. Really like the idea that elves are neither falling or rising, since that's something very ordinary and human. But instead, they may just be something outside of these concepts. Or maybe they are just visiting, and then leaving again. I really just like the idea of elves being just visitors.

I'm getting back into Kill Team after a few years and found a box of all the terrain they sold in 1st edition including the original starters massive 40k terrain and all the shit like trenches given away with kill teams to clear stock.

My question is how much of that is actually worth it with nu kill team? seems like most teams are going to be five models on average and sure those L shapes of mechanicus terrain can have a place along the typhon stuff but a lot of this feels way too big for modern Kill Team.

Would it be better to stick with my necromunda stuff considering the model count?

Overall I really prefer it. The core rules are so much better where they actually changed them. Monsters feel like proper monsters now. You can’t mix and match with lists like before, which for some people is a negative, but for me it’s a positive. Yes you are locked out of some combos now but balancing allies before was painful.
If you’re coming from any mainline GW game, you can expect MESBG to feel way more balanced than games you are used to playing, and within a few games you’ll quickly realize how much more skill tends to matter in MESBG.
