sealed is a little more chill but also more luck based since you see less cards
limited in general you can just get fucked over by unlucky opens (and draws of course)
draft is really good value if you want the cards in the set you are drafting, and okay value otherwise if you maintain a good winrate
>>
Gotta admit I liked the Avatar set. It helps that I never saw the show and don't know anything about it so it being UB had less of an effect. But the mechanics are fun, art is good and I always liked monks in magic. Only a few busted cards imo. Fun limited. The only thing I know from the show, elemental mastery, seemed implemented well. Surprised there wasn't a black bending mechanic, like gravebending or some shit
>>
>>97367761
Black bending would be a Korra thing, they used Gender Bending to make everyone gay and lose their bending abilities.

Yeah I think I got lucky in the free sealed event since I was essentially gifted an excellent mardu firebending deck. I know it would suck if you were given a less synergistic pile. I usually can't into signals but I've been trying to draft better, only done a few from Avatar but got my first 7 wins just now :D I did have the draftsmith ratings for a bit of guidance but I didn't look at the "suggested pick" thing

I like the stained glass lands, but 5K GOLD A PIECE??

Why can't Druids wield bows?

>bow: wood
>arrow: wood
>arrowhead: bone or flint

Even crossbows can be made wholly of wood and shoot bone-tipped bolts. If anything, making these things actually requires very good understanding of trees and properties of wood.
Regardless of all that, the whole non-metal theme is a meme. If you can cook stuff in a bronze cauldron, you should be allowed to use a bronze helmet too.

clerics are being based on Bishop Odo (smashy bashy, but no slicey dicey), druids are based on Muslims.
it's haram to pierce or stab (it's why they can't get inoculations), but bloodletting is completely Islamikosher.

Because of retarded and arbitrarily mandated niche protection motivated by gamist reasons. If you can't stomach any of that move to a classless game (and setting) where being a Druid is a title anyone with the right background and proficiencies can get regardless of anything else.

I have no idea how you could draw this conclusion.
Druids are named after what they are based on: the priests of Celtic societies in Western Europe from Antiquity.
The Romans wrote about who the druids were extensively.
Weapon restrictions/specific weapon proficiencies on druids are kind of a sacred cow from early D&D.

Question from last thread but thread 404 shortly after:
Any tips on printing flat, square tiles?
I know a FDM printer would be the best solution but I have already 2 resin printer and wont buy am additional FDM one (I only would need about 15 tiles, so not that many) .
The plates would be 12x12x0,5cm (street tiles) in size. Should I print them flat on the bed or upright and put a lot of Supports under one side (if this Option would be possible I could print ca 10 at once and would be done after 2 prints).
>>
How bad are the fumes with resin printers? People seem to act like you'll immediately die if you take a single whiff.

I've printed lots of tanks on resin. You gotta slice them and print them by parts. I usually go 2 Tracks, then one hull (solid), then turret.

Even if you play competitive, there probably won't be any pvp and it's not especially fun when there is. There's like 4 competitive spells in the entire deck and each knight has 1 competitive skill out of 10, so you might never see anything competitive.

I'm curious, did you end up changing their gift list at all? They always seemed neat but also like they had some pretty glaring holes in their arsenals.
They always seemed like they'd be the easiest of the fera to fit in a non-werewoof game since they don't really have the crazy durability of most and can pretty convincingly larp as a vampire, and mysterious orders from Mom make for a pretty good excuse to end up doing just about anything.

GURPS is a modular, adaptable system, capable of running a wide range of characters, settings, and play styles, with a level of detail varying from lightweight to completely autistic.
Optional rules allow you to emulate different genres with a single system, or even switch genres within a single game.

A nearly complete archive of GURPS books can be found by using the image. Never post direct links to the archive anywhere in plain text.

If you're wondering where to start:
- The Basic Set covers everything, including a lot of optional rules you probably won't use.
- A genre guide can be found in the archive, under Unofficial/GURPSgen. It tells you what extra books and articles you may find useful for many common genres.
- How To Be a GURPS GM is a good read even for players.
- GCS (gurpscharactersheet.com) is an excellent character-builder software, with page references to all the books and the option to export to both Foundry and Fantasy Grounds.

Thread question: what's the best classic GURPS cover art?

He chads keep on winning

It is probably not too controversial to say that the art of modern rulebooks is made with female representation in mind.

These women are predominantly filling important roles, such as archmages, military officers, or nobles.
But how come there is barely any art that shows them in peril, or at a clear disadvantage? Regardless of their status.

There is no shortage of men in peril.
Neither in classic nor in modern art.

That format is when I began playing for the first time. I tried to copy that dino deck but I couldn't afford that jurrac card or thunder king lmao. I also ran Kabazauls instead of Warwolf plus that other dinosaur xyz card. I quit yugioh sometime during the rampant link era powercreep.
>>
>>97302100
>What are the formats with the most deck diversity and fairness (many decks have a chance of winning against the meta)?
If you're talking about recent history; DIFO format. That's the state of the game just before Power of the Elements released, where the power level was in a goldilocks zone where everything was competent but nothing was peerless. You could more broadly apply it to Branded/Despia's time in the spotlight (so 2021 and early parts of 2022).

Was the format perfect? Absolutely not. The Terrible Trio of Savage Dragon, Baronne, and Apollousa were all running rampant, and Mystic Mine was still legal for the majority of it before an absolutely embarrassing YCS showing where a bunch of yugitubers got together to make the event as horrible as humanly possible with the express intent of getting the card banned. But like I mentioned; Nothing in the meta was peerless. As long as your deck was at least semi-competent, and ideally if they had a semi-decent matchup against them at least, you could knock tiered meta decks down by a couple of pegs.
>>
>>97369010
And here's a report from BACH, which was around the same time period. One of the quirks from BACH was that Predaplant Verte Anaconda was still legal, so any deck capable of putting out 2 monsters would typically summon Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer, or less commonly Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon. DPE was more common because while he lacked a lot of the perks that Dragoon had, it was generally a more versatile card and generated a small amount of advantage off of the materials you used for his summon. In an absolute pinch, you could also summon its materials, whereas every component of Dragoon's summon were bricks.

Whether or not you like this is up to you. But I personally prefer small packages like this over entire generic engines like Sneedsmith. Worst we had at the time in regards to fully generic engines was Adventurer, but that also came with an asterisk since your Normal Summoned monsters would get turned into bricks on the field.
>>
>>97369010
>>97369097
Also, if it wasn't readily apparent from the fact that DIFO's chart lists 12 others; the number of viable Rogue-tier decks was *substantially* larger than it is now. A lot of untiered decks work against meta in the current state of the game, but very few of them are able to keep up at tournaments. Meanwhile, shit like Virtual World, Mekk-Knights, and freaking Eldlich were still able to swing in DIFO.

The secret is to go at it in small doses. I only go there to ask after news I'm not caught up on, and request obscure homebrew. It's been easier recently since it's must easier to be positive about Infernals than it's been for a lot of 3e things.

I mentioned the SV Exalted megathread earlier. It has some good discussion every now and then, though it also has long periods of little activity. It's a bit too much of a playground of one clique of a few regular posters with strong opinions, though, which is why I mostly just lurk there without posting. It's also currently very much pro-3E territory, in big part because a couple of writers post there and are a part of the aforementioned clique.

It is because the fanbase became really insulated, and the name of the game is really generic; which causes problems researching for it in social networks.

>Cyberpunk 2020 vs. Cyberpunk RED?
Cyberpunk 2020 is the second edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG that focuses on simulation gameplay and has a black trenchcoat aesthetic.

Cyberpunk RED is the fourth edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG that is set after Cyberpunk 2020 following the Fourth Corporate War, focuses on more balanced gameplay and is more streamlined but has less content.

You can discuss Shadowrun here too because I also feel bad for those guys.

Nice. Since RCL was originally just a 'hate' gang I introduced them as every hate group (white nationalists, black hoteps/israelites, MS-13, the Amish, etc) forced together because nobody else wanted them around. Their goal was to get enough money for the whole group so they can split NC before 'the end' as the 4chan gang a lot of the gang are oldfags and one is a netrunner who still runs the old NET and an AI gave him a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 as a bootleg prophecy and since Red Chrome Legion isn't in that game the netrunner is trying to get the gang out safely. The trick was I introduced a few gang NPCs to the crew as support on a few jobs and they began to find them charming.

This. Red is pretty pussified. I'm old and responsible, and am not allowed to say niggerfaggot any longer; and Red is lukewarm milk. Mike is gone, and the attitude era is over. I don't crave a return to early 00s performative edge, but I am sorely disappointed that Red lacks teeth to really have an opinion one way or another. General has gone over it before but Red struggles with showing the dark elements with gravitas, and giving the setting relevant NPCs some grit. When they do "tech with personas to interact with" gags they could at least add a humanity drain on them, rather than relegating them to 'annoying girlfriend gun' and 'the man was already crazy before he fell in love with his phone'. Come on, kids being glued to their smartphones is bad, right? IT'S A SOFTBALL COME ON!

Spray prime that MDF dark grey and dry brush it light grey, takes 5 minutes and looks 100x better and less lazy than that low effort 40k unpainted shit

Agreed. I just know that most mini manufacturers just copy Osprey without a second thought.
