I ran an end of year survey fory players, one concern that was raised is they have too much gold!
This jogged my memory that I should calculate what they owe the innkeeper, and perhaps organise a visit from the tax-man. They keep all their gold, gems & jewellery in the bank, I suppose it is the banker's duty to report the party's assets & maybe even withdraw the taxable amount from their account?
I'm thinking that this will happen quarterly, and 10% seems a nice round number (so why not go for 15? Or 1d6+9?). Has anyone else introduced the "other" inevitability into their games?

I think the way probably lies in world events happening in between sessions. That way the next time we sit down to play, I just present the state of things as they are and the players can still act/react as they wish.
This seems better than the alternative of railroading a session into some kind of war/battle scale event.
I haven't reached this stage in my campaign yet, but I plan to enact a change in the status quo pretty soon.

Budget decks are really cheap, I built my modern deck for like $4.50
I use the rental system now though, for the price of netflix I get to constantly cycle through decks worth up to $360 i find that super worth it with the upside of not having to sort through mtgo's god awful deck building ui

Is there a super system that is purpose built to integrate RPG scale, Skirmish, scale and wargame scale scenarios into one campaign?

I think that would be pretty epic. You might first go on an rpg party scale infiltration mission to get some kind of advantage for the next session that is a wargame, where if you succeeded, maybe you can hide a unit anywhere on the tabletop.
I think I heard people saying that it was kind of attempted in some Old DnD releases and ACKS, but it never seems to really be all that focused on or displayed in action much.

Would totally be a niche gameplay style that would require a group both up for rpg's and wargames, but I think it could be pretty epic.

I've been tinkering with this for a while.
It's wrapped up in my attempt to create my own surrogate Grimdark setting to nurture my science-fantasy interests.

I'm experimenting with 2d6 dice curves, but it seems to be too shallow for what I want to do; I am not a maths head, so I don't have a lot of intuitions about what will work or not beyond research and brute forcing results for myself; I may well end up looking at the dice curve on a 3d6, but I feel like that would be too messy.

The nuances I fear are somewhat beyond me.

I want my game to be operating at around the level of Rogue Trader or smaller.
Vehicles should be a possibility, naturally, and I reckon the largest "formation" of troops that would move together should essentially be at the fire-team to small infantry section level, and mostly be reserved for "team" type units, like a heavy-weapons team consisting of a loader and gunner, or vehicle crew, or less elite units like a zombie swarm, or a mob of conscripts.
As a setting, it's somewhat based on pre-Unification Terra, flavour wise but it's origin is as a failed colony, which became a penal world, then was abandoned as the galaxy-spanning empire collapsed into civil war around it.

My setting has

Well no because most systems have more than "Roll 500 d20s for 5 hours". In fact I can't really think of any system, except maybe VTNL, that expects you to sit there and roll dice against poorly balanced mathematics while following a rigid procedure.

I know Pokemon and the Last Wish, 1 and 2, have playthroughs on youtube because they're just short jam games. You could look it up if you're interested.

I could come up with things on my own if I forced myself, but I just feel like it would be a weird inclusion. These are small fangames so even just coming up with the bare minimum of perks and items is tough enough as it is. I also feel like Pokemon-specific perks wouldn't really play well with Human-origin characters and vice versa.
I've got another fangame on lock though so I'll probably end up making another Pokemon fangame jump next before I make a jump for anything else. If you want to give suggestions, I'd happily accept them.

I've never seen fantasy or steampunk explore the idea that magic/technology became an equalizer to the point that colonialism never happened. Hard to capture Haitians and make them slaves when they've got a zombie army to back them up, hard to conquer the Aztecs when all those human sacrifices actually gave them superpowers.
You could easily create a steampunk world where different cultures became luddites, embraced technology totally, or embraced both. After all, what's the point of alternate history if the history isn't alternate?

A basement room in an old building.
On the ground floor is a video rental, with seemingly most videotaped videos ever made. This could be great for investigations (into things that happened in VHS era) but if I just live normally I can't think of a very good use.
On the ground floor there's also a pawn shop. I'll ask to buy extra lifespan. I don't expect it will be that easy, but it's the obvious thing to ask.
My friends are a girl who appears in paintings (I could use her for communication if everything else fails, for example if I get stuck somehow and phones don't work) and a priest (I don't feel I'd get anything out of confessions, so I have little reason to interact).
Unremarkable Jack is neither in the friends section nor the threats section, so I'm probably fine ignoring him.
Each floor has a clock surrounded by an area in different time. So there's time travel. I could try to make forex money with this?

Phantom Passenger is the lightest of all threats, easy to avoid.

Editing is one of the hardest parts. I have so much to say, and attention spans are so short! I do feel like my past CYOAs were a bit overly wordy, which I'm trying improve in this one. Being interactive does help in some aspects (ie only describing an interaction between two choices if you've selected both, reducing clutter). Don't think I can reasonably trim this particular infodump in any way, though.
