>>97386482>>97386488>>97386535Here, I scoured the archives a bit and found this thing. Dunno if it's the exact warmachine the other guy was talking about, but it's something.
>>97386436>>97386568These are already doing a better job of it, I don't even think they need to go too nuts with it, just more than person or animal but made of ossified substance. Make it person animal hybrid, I'll already be cool with just that.Besides the requested ranged options whats something the army in general is missing. Yknow, years down the line I mean.
>>97386553I think they're supposed to be Petrifex Elite. Black bones & red details fit the PE paint scheme. One of the Liege-Morteks (I feel like the plural should be Lieges-Mortek, but whatever) is painted in the PE colors as well, so maybe they're all part of a showcase force.
>>97386568That's it! I misremembered the archers as spearmen
why are many creators so afraid of making a setting with napoleonic wars era technology?
Where would the standard fantasy races map onto a Napoleonicesque setting?
>>97285005Because there's no reason to. The Napoleonic Wars are already interesting. Adding dragons doesn't do anything and would bring into question a lot of what people like about Napoleonic warfare (the infantry tactics and formations that are unlike any other period). If you're interested in the period, by a copy of The Campaigns of Napoleon (David G. Chandler) and The Peninsular War (Charles Esdaile), read them, then buy a copy of either Age of Eagles or Field of Glory Napoleonics and enough Perry or Victrix figures to make a brigade with a few battalions of infantry, a unit or two of cavalry, and some guns.
This thread made me wonder how a napoleonic version of Dishonored would look like. Thats a type of setting that i can see working, with less focus on open warfare and more focussed about urban stuff, the occult and the supernatural. Just not with a victorian steampunk coat, but a napoleonic one.
>>97386414>dragon One volley of well timed musketry would delete a dragon in an instant

>>97385904I meant that I don’t really understand the lore and the vibes for the steampunk world yet. I have to look into it. I should really be working on JITE stuff so I don’t think I should make a steampunk build yet but I’m also pleasantly surprised at how kaiju stuff is going honestly
Who all has a rough Naruto build in mind?

Are interspecies pairings allowed in your game?
>>97340942>The company and the mercs are bound by earth law and restrained by public opinion back home, most of the human race isn't all "kill them all, anything for Earth" and shit, it's literally just the corpos and their goons.Which is rather absurd because the expanded lore explained humanity is doomed without that rock and such. Also somehow pollution from asteroid mining, the moon, and mars somehow FALLS TO EARTH because James Cameron is the most retarded man to ever walk the earth.
>>97384874>the expanded lore explained humanity is doomed without that rock and suchDo we know that's not just self-serving corporate bullshit? And where does this "expanded lore" come from?
>>97384929The 1st movie game and some other shit. Humanity's going extinct without some way to stablize antimatter and fusion reactions to meet energy needs without waste or some shit. And I forget where the shit about offworld industry somehow still polluting earth came from. Some blurb somewhere
>>97384955Well I'm not sure you should blame Cameron for any of that, if it's like most licensed shit he had little to do with any of it.
>>97365102Horny theatre kids that run anthro characters and force this shit on the entire table.

>>97386153Just like GW we produce both physical, plastic products along with media, meaning digital but also books and comics. GW absolutely get heavily scrutinized for emissions because they make plastic toys. We've got a contract with a company that delivers an application service specifically so we can track emissions for ESG reporting. I bet GW does too.

>Found out The Protomen Act III: This City Made Us finally finished earlier this month, a few days ago>Been thinking about the ending nonstop.>Mega Man is still fucked off in his tent like Achilles>Some random girl who is neither confirmed nor denied to be Roll urges her small army not to give up the fight against Wiley and argues with Light. Girl finds Mega Man but he tells her to fuck off, girl throws his helmet at him in frustration>Light gives her Mega Man's address, then fucks off to assault Wiley's fortress like the Don't Fear The Reaper ending In Cyberpunk 2077>Wiley himself is buttblasted the rebels are hiding out in the south side of the city where apparently his army can't reach and drinking heavily. By the time Light hacks drones, infiltrates his fortress and generally action movie heroes his way to his lair, Wiley is having a full-on existential crisis about whether he should've turned on that machine at all. The entire Protomen saga culminates in a fucking Liquid Snake-style knife fight between two old men that ends with Light trying to convince him to turn off the machine with Emily's music box, and Wily having his robot guards beat the shit out of him in a fit of rage>Then it all ends with Light being publicly executed like he merely imagined in Act II, though not before he sees a flash of blue in the crowd-and the final song confirmed Mega Man does rejoin the fightWell goddamn, that's a bittersweet takeaway. Anyone take that drawback in the Mega Man Classic jump?

Con/Health is a conceptually boring stat that should at the very least be looked at>Don't play DNDyeah I included health retard
>>97345443Wound-based death spirals only being appropriate for specific campaign genres is why I generally prefer Injury-based Health. Instead of taking losing a numerical value of HP or taking increasing penalties that murder your rolls, I'd rather your actions become more restricted the more injured you are. Injured Legs? Halved movement.Injured Arm? Can't use it for most actions.Injured Head? Lose your Reaction or equivalent.Injured Eye? Reduced perception and ranged attack distance. And so on and so forth until you succumb to your injuries. Gradually narrow down the options instead of just making the PCs useless because they fail everything due to penalties.
>>97376376Of course pointing to a system where they're independent doesn't prove anything. The fact that people choose to do that when they're not being forced to proves it. Did you not read any of my posts? Why do you continue to assume that they're being forced when no one said that they're being forced, and there's zero evidence to suggest it? It's like you're replying to some invisible third anon whose posts only you can see.
>>97376376Hello?
>>97348376No it's not. GURPS is just health numbers.
How would you humanize enemy mooks even if the players have to put them down at the end of day? How do you make it so that players leaving piles of corpses in their wake is not a trivial matter?
>>97384224Simple fix: Have them flee when they're hurt or bargain for their lives. Real mooks will jump into a meat grinder, but a fleshed out minion will bail if things get too real.
>>97386177In the Uruk-Hai chapter in book 2 we do see orcs arguing and being antsy about the danger of their mission. Also the whole thing in Cirith Ungol when Frodo gets captured. Please read the books.
>>97384224Don't bother. Every shmuck has a story but if you play stupid games you win stupid prizes. You wouldn't feel any remorse for magdumping some "yn" in a "sheisty tryna hit a lick" on you, why should you feel remorse for fake bandits?
>>97386598Interesting take. I want to disagree, but I truly couldn't care less about a modern "bandit" getting hurt.
>>97384224Sounds like you'd have to build the campaign around avoiding combat if you're going to rub in the consequences of killing them

It's canon btw
So how bad was the life of civilians in the Clan occupation zones? I know that despite their obsession with eugenics for their warrior casts they weren't setting up any extermination camps for spheroids, but I guess they would set up reeducation camps and labor camps to turn civilians into workers, or was it just business as usual for anyone not working for the military?
>>97386509I can't.

Should an elven wizard be more powerful on average than a human one? Explain your answer.
>>97377252Take a look for yourself then.
>>97356745lol
>>97377482Obsession
>>97356786I agree
>>973567283.5e handled this by giving elves a bonus to Intelligence, which is truly WotC's official only trait that makes them stronger. At the heart of your post, yes. Yet this is all we got and now even the stat bonus for species has been removed. Why do elves deserve to be better wizards? Because they are documented as getting their powers from years of study and hard work. A being that can live 5 times longer than a human has much more time to study and develop. If we were being real, there would be no comparison, although with a game interested in balance, they won't make a dichotomy that severe.
Why can't Druids wield bows? >bow: wood>arrow: wood>arrowhead: bone or flintEven crossbows can be made wholly of wood and shoot bone-tipped bolts. If anything, making these things actually requires very good understanding of trees and properties of wood. Regardless of all that, the whole non-metal theme is a meme. If you can cook stuff in a bronze cauldron, you should be allowed to use a bronze helmet too.
>>97361089Because it requires two hands and their arms are full of interesting mushrooms they found while walking.
It's pronounced Droods.
>>97371748it's not a depiction, Drids are the Muslim equivalent of a Friar. As in a non-ordained priest, but is educated in their ways. So a Druid would be a muslim educated in priesthood but has not officially joined the priesthood yet. >>97375763Yes you never once bring up a counter argument or any examples. Just a >Nuh uh!!!
>>97369151>Druids are named after what they are based on: the priests of Celtic societies in Western Europe from Antiquity.Yes, but also no. D&D druids have very little relation to ancient Celtic Druids. They weren't "nature worshippers," but a hereditary class of priests/jurists/"white-collar" types.I really don't see the connection the other anon is making with Muslim imams. Presumably the scimitar-thing is due to historical Druid's carrying sickles (because "hurr, curved blade!" I guess).
>>97381270In a similar vein, I just think of Druids as more interested in becoming an animal to fight or just hitting things with sticks they find. I don't really see them "training" with a weapon in militaristic style, something you would need to wield a bow. And yes, for lack of a better term, I guess I would say that Druids are too "stupid" to be good with weapons traditionally. Do exceptions exist? Sure, but a true depiction wouldn't use a blade or bow.
