The assumption behind this is due to HP being inflated, so the devs wanted to ensure that especially at later levels if you only got one hit off you'd at least be able to make some progress via HP lowering.

After about 8 years since I last DM'ed a game, I've been asked to run a session. Unfortunately my books - adnd, 2e, 3e, 3.5, 4e, and 5e are in storage two states away.And i prefer physical copies. Have a holiday Revenant. This one is a test unit to see how assembly and painting works for something like this. I drilled a hole in the mouth to make a rictus howl and melted the face down with acetone, once it sets it should hopefully look mask-like. After that I'll need to firm up the crest and maybe add something on the back if I feel like it.
For some reason, this piece fits so well in the setting, but I have no idea what it could be exactly...
