Forgive me, for i'm just a secondary, who had only skimmed through PHB, MM and DMG once and had failed an only attempt to play 3.5 with some friends (when nobody knew rules, so most people had left after 5-6 sessions of playing-and-debugging), but isn't it just a combination of Scrying and Detect Evil under, maybe, some metamagic? Kinda lame for greatest wizards to fail to know such thing.

Chronicle: The Modern Adam - An All-Unfleshed game of Promethean the Created game about a found family of Androids and Synths trying to find humanity
Game: Promethean the Created
Format: Over Voice on Discord with a Roll20 for Sheets
Time: Bi-Weekly Fridays at 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Session 0 is on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 6:00 PM, Session 0.5 would probably be on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 6:00 PM, etc
Slots: 0/6 NOW RECRUITING!
Pitch:
You don’t remember much. You never remembered much. You don’t remember how or why you were made. You don’t remember much of the lab. You don’t remember how you got out. Sometimes you remember a few things. Memories of a fine family and a white picket house. Memories of perfection, memories of the past, memories of the future… But they aren’t coherent. While you don’t remember things you do know that you aren’t human.

Your skin is too plasticky, your vision is enhanced with cybernetic overlays, your heart doesn’t exactly beat but instead whirr, and overall you are too uncanny. Incredibly uncanny. To the point that humanity itself fears you, rejects you. The truth that you can’t fully understand is that you were a product. You were a creation. An android, a test tube baby. A creation made of steel and reborn flesh from dead matter. Where your heart would be is truly a technomagic furnace which burns azothic energies. Alchemically powered automatons of science you are now lost in a big city. Hoping to find the truth.

As I said, I meant no offense asking. Just curious because I can't say I've seen something similar before. I might be a bit too frugal honestly, I never quite feel like I can justify commissions for my PCs, want to save that money. Only one I really have is one a friend commissioned for three of our PCs from a VtM game, and it was a pricy commission. Almost felt bad about it. Have gotten a few drawthread requests filled but none recently.

It's near art, always happy to see people talk about their games, just something I hadn't seen before.

My man corgi is the royal dog of England.
>>
>>97183498
This is incorrect. Corgis in other countries are bigger than in UK. I know since I have two. Both are 15-17kg, and vets have always give them perfect score for muscle and physique. They aren’t really any bigger than average corgi in my country, but in a meeting organized by the kennel I got mine from, the breeder had some guest over from Britain who brought his corgis and they were tiny. That is when I realized that different countries have slight variety in dog breeds. Nordic corgies are huge compared to British ones.

I'm looking at giving F&B a try. I recieved some High Seas boosters as a Christmas gift and my LGS has a Super Slam event kit thing next week; I assume this is draft as entry is $25 NZD and the retail price of a Super Slam prerelease kit seems to be around $55-60. Is this a bad way to try the game? I have no experience playing outside of the interactive tutorial and how to play video. I really don't want to fall into a pattern of netdecking and following a meta etc.

Looking to play further beyond this, it seems like I lack opportunities to play which is ironic given that I live in the city where the game was created. Most Armory days are on weeknights and I live too far away to practically attend any, and the only remaining weekend ones seem to be an hour+ drive away.

I currently play Magic and have experience with the WoW TCG if it's relevant. I see the pastebin in the OP but note that it hasn't been updated for 3 years.
>>
>>97242684
your xmas gift was boosters for an alternate TCG that you don't play?
>>
>>97242684
If you have no experience and attend any event that isnt explicitly being advertised as beginner oriented , as in people there willing to demo and teach, you are going to have a very very bad time. If you do not compose your deck with what is common in mind you will also have a very bad time. The game is absolutely not casual investment friendly , it demands a lot of energy and prep not only to get a single win, but to not play like a trainwreck and be ostracized

On the spectrum of rubber forehead aliens to complete starfish aliens that are made out of silica and breathe methane, where are YOU specificially comfortable with. Does there come a point where an alien becomes too weird for you to "relate" to in order to include them in your games as playable races?

Personally I am fond of aliens that look plausibly like they could have evolved in a different world and have no distinguishable lineage to earth life, even if they share some superficial features.

>>
>>97242177
Well, sure, via sufficiently advanced genetic engineering modifying humans into all kinds of exotic "aliens" would be pretty trivial but would they really be aliens at that point? You could of course do the whole ancient precursors or even past human empire that has collapsed etc type of justification being the reason why galaxy is filled with what are essentially modified humans, but that begs the question of "are these even aliens?" again.
>>
>>97242473

Think of it this way: if you need a GSB, almost surely you could justify it via genetic engeneering (even with advanced furfaggotry and such) plus ancient aliens doing their usual bullshit as needed. Maybe some wetware implants.

I mean, it's cheap, but so are GSBs. If you want something more or less interesting, I suppose you could go full autistic and ask yourself why there is a whole ethnicity (if that's the right word) of humans with funny noses or whatever.

While true, they also do it because it's a cheap way of conveying an idea or a specific kind of character trait to communicate the idea of the story.

Star Trek is specifically guilty of this although it can be said that at least the Ferengi got a massive glow up from being slinking monkey dudes with bulbous foreheads and dragon dildo laser whips to a respectable race who represent old world capitalism in a post scarcity "we don't use money" world.

Would love to share some YTers I like to use for inspiration. Looking for anyone you find helpful. Preferably smaller creators and not restricted to 5e. I’ll submit three that I really enjoy while I’m doing prep

First I’ll submit is Desk and Dorks. The channel is made by a medieval historian and combines his knowledge of subjects to enhance games.

I particularly like his take on Bronze Age fantasy and building better town guards

Unfortunately I don't got much to share at the moment aside from just doing lore and modeling my Zombie missions have the most work, with infection mechanics, breaking the ritual, extraction based missions, or if all goes to hell then it's stand the line or asset denial styled missions with unique scatter terrain like corpse piles, altars, or bodybags. I'm trying to get nice special infected zombies that don't look like nurgle demons, but it's not easy.

I got a warcry box set for christmas and I'm thinking of basing the terrain off somewhere besides Ghur. So far I'm thinking a swampy section of Ghyran or Ulgu, since the meat trees remind me a bit of willows. What do you guys think?

Man, the post office losing my shipment of new Gitz combined with the recent point increases putting me over 2k with what I have planned has really dulled my enthusiasm to keep painting the ones I've already started on. Everyone knows the core rules of 4th are better (aka they just refined the stupidity out of 3rd and ripped off the Magic stack concept).
People were willing to go with the bland as fuck indices until we got the first books and realized that all the flavor had been scrubbed out (essentially that the shit d3 was what they thought we wanted instead of a stop gap).
>>
>>97242807
Ghryan is the safe option if you want to go ulgu you will have to be clever with it
>>
>>97242841
All I have with Ulgu is "make it wet", so probably a lot of blues and grays and glossy bits to look like water. It is true that Ghyran is cheasy peasy, but it's not like I'm on a time limit, I can take my time figuring it out.

Like I've said in the past, I do love how you can get it to give massive clothing differences all with the same seed if you use the proper wording. Sugar Snaps never gets the same outfit and it's great.

This is a highly detailed Boris vallejo illustration in the cyberpunk art style. The primary focus is on an orc sitting in a fancy living room with digital holographic fire in fire place.

The primary character is a tough looking, dark green skinned, orc woman. She has bubble gum pink well groomed finger nails, bright bubble gum pink lipstick, light green mascara, yellow eyes, small fangs visible outside her lips, and has beautiful blonde healthy hair in a poofy elegant hair style. She has large gold lightning bolt shaped earrings, silver choker necklace, hair bands made of obsidian shaped like thunder clouds, and is wearing a fashionable Christmas sweater vest with short wool knit skirt. She is wearing festive panty hose and barefoot. She is leaning her back on a comfortable cloth couch blowing a kiss. On her wrist is a large digital computer screen made of silver with a large sapphire display.

The background is a digital wall display christmas tree with dancing holographic fairies and snowflakes. On the ground is a tiny smoking robot broken into pieces. She has yellow lightning dancing on the end of her fingertips. There are scorch marks on the carpet.

The overall atmosphere is cheery, relaxed, and calm oriented.

Does a magical parasite that took over the body of a wizard count?
I was basically just helping my friend play an NPC that would betray the party and be a more interactive boss fight.

The wizard was technically a half elvish female, but the brain slug never cared about such trivialities, part of the fun about being a parasite was being weird and off putting to see if anyone caught on.

Only time I even bothered with a female and I technically was playing something else entirely.

When last we met, we made G.E.T.S. (Generally Entertaining Team-built System). Thus far, it seems to be a fairly minimalist system.

Now, we shall make our first setting for this system.

If your proposed idea gets doubles, it is canonized. Any canon characters, worldbuilding, themes, et cetera can be modified (but not outright contradicted or discarded) by triples, quadruples, et cetera.

Let us continue.
