It is the year 199X. Your friends have just sent you a text message to your Nokia 3210, saying they can't make tonight's D&D game.Which of these games do you play, to single-playerly experience that classic 'dungeon crawler' feel?
>>97367801Yes but did you have one?
>>97367904Not until I was 11 which was in 2001But we were poorfags, I'm sure middle class kids in cities already had phones

>>97344461Daggerfall
>>97369787NTA, but giving kids cellphones generally didn't happen until like 2001-2003 when there was a bigger push from companies for family plans. And even then, it was a fairly slow adoption because of the cost, payphones still being around, and malls still being a pretty big thing (so parents could drop their kid off, know where they were, and they could set a specific time to pick them up). Personally, I was one of like 20 kids in my school who had a cellphone in middle school (around 2003), and that was because I was in band and we'd do trips to perform. I think by 2008, maybe a third of students in my high school had a cellphone.>textingWith early family plans you'd get a set amount of minutes included each month. But unlimited texting wasn't included until things like Blackberry and iPhone started getting more common, and that was largely due to the push in charging for data. If somebody was going to notify you in the 90's, they'd call; depending on your friends, maybe you'd get an instant message through AIM.

I've found from the grapevine that Jes Goodwin is soon to retire from Games WorkshopHe really is the king. His concept sketches and absolutely timeless work on mk7 Space Marines and the Eldar particularly are worthy of the highest praise. His influence will be sorely missed, though with how miniatures are often 3+ years in the pipeline before being seen on shelves, his legacy will continue.
>>97368218>>97368484Face the truth, kids.
>>97368722>'kids'Yeah, alright, 'gramps'. Go back to browsing r/I'm14andthisisdeep.
>>97361569Meh. He *was* the king, then he happily took GW's sheckles to piss on his own legacy with Primaris. I'll always enjoy looking over his sketchbook and it's a shame they only published the one, but I'd have more respect for him if he'd chosen to bow out when some corpo shitberg came to him and said>Hey there buddy, uh, if you could just design us a complete new range of Space Marines with lots of tacticool faggotry to appeal to CODkiddies and support our planned upcoming brutal back-alley raping of the setting, that'd be great thaaaanks
>>97361569his daughter is still working at GW
>>97369724But Primaris aren't tacticool. Mk7 in particular is, in addition to stealing Vader helmet too so it can trigger Star Wars memberries among kids and having only tacticool and ultramarine bits on the sprue. It's Mk10 which is knightly and chock full of jousting shields and gothic trinkets on spuresPhobos units were made to appeal to Mk7 fans and help them cope with Marines becoming more gothic overall

>>97368320It's not bad at all. I went into it with a head full of horrors from the internet but I set up in my living room, on my pc desk and don't smell a thing. Guests also don't smell it. The alcohol wash is gnarly but only while it's open. Could it be slowly giving me cancer? maybe. idgaf lol
>>97367488Depends on the detail of the surface. If it's flat and smooth you could get away with printing them upright but id they are detailed you'd usually want to have them at an angle to not show layer lines tho that would take the longest over all
>>97368320It smells fucking horrible for sure. If you are worried about the long term harm, there are product safety sheets out there that will explain the risks better than anyone on 4chan can. My thoughts and experience is that no matter how careful you are with PPE and ventilation, if you print enough you will make mistakes eventually. You can get these tiny air purifiers that sit inside the printer while it's printing and they do an amazing job at eliminating the smell, however according to air quality monitors they don't really do anything except get rid of the smell.I completely stopped resin printing because I got a cat. A person risking poisoning themselves is one thing, but to subject an animal to it would be unforgivable.
I'm new to printing and working with FDM. What's the best angle/rotation to use for supporting a slight dome shape? I'm printing little circular shields for 28mm with auto supports and it ends up needing a lot of supports.
>>97374584Nevermind I found a decent angle I'll try this and see if it prints well. The giant raft is because I sometimes get bed adhesion issues with tiny models I don't care if I'm wasting filament.

>>97374274>Still has the other 3 issues even if the DM rules how you're thinkingCorrect, I would assume most DMs wouldn't stop a person from hiding in combat or in a situation where they can move cautiously, as many Rogues and Goblins do that in and out of combat. I also would assume most DMs use the highest passive perceptions as the DC you'd have to beat to not be found instantly by said target(s). A DM could also simply start using See Invisibility, True Sight, or Blindsight. Those automatically counter hiding in the new rules. So even low Passive Perception creatures just notice the PC who rolled a 40 on Stealth and is Invisible but not to them!
>>97374349If it were me I'd allow a Hide roll and that's your number until some event occurs. I'd ignore the implications of "invisible" and simply use the mechanical advantages. You're still visible and walking into the middle of a lit room gets you found regardless of rolls
>>97371680I don't care for the Monk in the slightest and copying and pasting a feature such that it doesn't even fuckin function sure is something, but I like the rest of this a lot. Flavor's all pretty good and I'd very gladly play the Rogue especially.

Every once in a while there's a thread popping up about how badass and stronger 40k's setting is, but big time professional question ironically raised by an autistic friend of mine at the pub yesterday:Could the Imperium sucessfully afford to invade and take over Kirby's planet?
>>97374369Doesnt this happen at some point and kirby just wills himself out of it?
To the people saying "kirby isnt that strong" we know. We played the games and watched the cartoon. His copy power iant perfect and the warp star is unreliable. Here's the thing tho: power scalers dont know this, and they believe everything the internet says kirby can do all because of 1 poorly written death battle against majin buu.
>>97373160>>97373743Reminder that in Planet Robobot, Haltmann converted all of popstar to a mechanized world in seconds.Once Kirby woke up he immediately stole a mech, taught that mech Hunger, freed the planet, destroyed the fleet, ate a starship, killed a rebuilt cyborg godmachine, and returned Pop Star to normal. Not even an exterminatus would stop him.
>>97374369These sort of plans have a tendency to backfire. Twice now someone has gotten the jump on Kirby and sliced him with an all-killing blade - once was Death itself - and all it did was split Kirby into multiple Kirbys. Trapping Kirby in a stasis field will likely just give him access to some sort of alt-form, super-powerful "Elder Kirby" that triggers at key moments as the game's gimmick.
>>97374570>trap kirby in a stasis field>now he can nap as long as we wants
