This is a second OSRG, seperate from the main osrg thread, where you CAN talk about 2e, retroclones, and any osr content you want.
This is different than the regular osrg as due to rampant trolling from a handful of bad actors, discussion is impossible.

A group of dudebro larpers on twitter or whatever, who were mildly comical in that they claimed to be playing AD&D 1e more raw than anybody, but got things wrong. Largely irrelevant and mostly gone now.
They're also one of fishfag's many scapegoats for everything he doesn't like.
>>
>>97221984
They must use this place too lol, everytime I see anything OSR getting discussed there are retarded losers who don't know how to read the rules spouting off about how they're sanctified and beyond reproach.
>>
>>97220767
It's been more than 20 years since I've played 2e, so I had to doublecheck it but yeah, none of these are "strict", "core" or "non-optional" rules
The entire section starts with an opening saying it lists guidelines not strict rules, and that there isn't one way that works for all, you should take what works for your table

and also these guidelines are fine and they will most certainly work

Depends what your definition of prude means, but the ideal elven characterization when it comes to their sensuality is that: elves understand and readily accept they are the most physically attractive race and they take pride in their beauty. Flowers, sunsets, and rainbows don't hide themselves away behind layers and neither do elves - but elves also aren't rampant exhibitionists since they aren't whores and won't show just anyone the goods.

Light elves would wear form fitting and thin clothes that show off a lot of skin but ultimately would leave everything but the curves up to the viewer's imagination. Dark elves would show more skin but they too would keep covered up since they're not common street walkers to be oogled at by their lessers.

IRL examples would be women who wear yoga pants and tank tops to the gym (light elves) vs women who wear spandex shorts and sports bras (dark elves). You basically already know what their bodies look like but there's enough left covered up.
>>
>>97217575
No but its common in fantasyslop that there is no real difference between fantasy races beyond superficial features. Unfortunately 99.99% of post-1991 fantasy is fantasyslop including whatever garbage you're consuming.

>What is /awg/?
A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks, or peoples' homebrew wargames.
The >>>/tg/hwg thread doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to more specific games.
This thread isn't tied to a game, a publisher, or a genre, let's just talk about fun wargames. Any scale, any company, any miniatures.

>Examples of games that qualify.
A Song of Ice and Fire, Argatoria, Batman Miniature Game, Carnevale, Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings,
Deadzone, Dragon Rampant, Dropfleet and Dropzone Commander, Freebooter's Fate, Frostgrave, Gaslands, HeroClix,
Kings of War, Maelstrom's Edge, Malifaux, Marvel Crisis Protocol, Masters of the Universe: Battleground, Moonstone,
Oathmark, OnePageRules, Open Combat, RelicBlade, Rumbleslam, SAGA, StarCraft, Stargrave, Sludge, Urban War, Void,
Warcaster, Warmachine, Xenos Rampant, Xenotactics...
...and anything else that doesn't necessarily have a dedicated thread.

Those puzzle pieces are completely backwards. They imply the female has a cock and the guy is on the front end of a fuck train.

In reality, the male should be fucking the hermaphrodite to extract her yan while also supplying her with his own sperm to rebalance the yang she's expending dumping cum into the female. Only then will true balance be achieved

I literally don't remember half of these, no, because as someone who bought the Book of the Astronomican when it came out you've made most of them up.

It was never directly stated that the Primarch's were clones. Heck, they were just Chapter Masters and when they got firmed up just before 2nd Ed they were always stated to be genetically engineered, so they weren't clones. Logically bits of their DNA were always taken from others.

The Imperium were literally breeding with Eldar in the RT rulebook.

Salamanders were just black guys (actually it was never explicitly painted and probably just a coincidence from the guide from the paint set but lets roll with that) and the ashen skin guys was itself an incredibly dumb retcon.

The custodes were 100% nothing because there were only four lines of text about them until fucking 8th edition.

LE2 had a beaked helmet, but literally the second marine model ever, LE10, didn't.

The Emperor being dead was always fannon that had a few bits of in-world evidence but just as much that directly contradicted it.

The Emperor's motivations were always shady, given he was literally nicked from Dune and that comes with it.

I don't like the romantic part of the normal humans, but reading how the Legion fell was interesting and tragic, which I think was the point of the novel, a sad tragic story of the Legion that tried to achieve perfection and fell in degeneration in the process.

[black and white, sketch-like] if you are still here and in a willing mood;

"In a damp, torch-lit cavern, depict a scene of grim captivity. Two dozen small, fuzzy oortlings are herded against a rough-hewn wall, their large eyes wide with terror, kept in a tight, trembling pack. Dominating the scene is a single mind flayer, its illithid form imposing and cerebral, its tentacles idly coiling as it surveys its living larder with cold, psionic calculation. Flanking it are two immense, hairless mutant thralls: obese ogre-cyclops hybrids with sickly albino skin, a single brutish eye each, and crude clubs resting on their shoulders. Enforcing the perimeter are two bestial grimlock slaves, their eyeless faces sniffing the air, and two hulking, fur-covered quaggoth slaves, their claws and fangs bared, ensuring not a single oortling escapes its fate as future brain cattle. The atmosphere is thick with fear, dampness, and the promise of horrific consumption."

"A massive, vaguely humanoid mound of translucent ooze towers over 12 feet tall, its gelatinous form pulsing

—a frost giant, fire giant, or other massive humanoid preserved in horrific stasis. The giant's enormous limbs
are stretched outward through the ooze's body, massive hands reaching desperately toward freedom that will
never come. The creature's face, though dissolving, is frozen in a rictus of eternal agony visible through the
transparent slime.
A giant slime slave is an advanced form of the standard slime slave, created from a much larger crystal ooze and
requiring the sacrifice of a giant or other Large humanoid creature. The ritual is even more demanding and
creates a far more dangerous guardian. These massive oozes are prized by powerful evil priests and archmages
as guardians for their most important sanctums, particularly those near water or in flooded caverns.
The absorbed giant gives the creature both its increased size and a more defined humanoid shape, making it
even more unsettling to behold. The giant's equipment typically dissolves during the transformation, though

and the slime slave

""A vaguely humanoid puddle of translucent ooze squelches and flows as it moves. Within its gelatinous mass, the
partially dissolved form of a humanoid victim can be glimpsed—preserved in horrific stasis, limbs stretched
outward in eternal supplication. Though it acts under external magical command, its body is alive and secretes
paralytic slime to incapacitate intruders. On its own, it is incapable of complex decision-making.
A slime slave is not a true golem but rather a living crystal ooze that has been magically enslaved and shaped
into a roughly humanoid form through a horrific necromantic ritual. The creature's vaguely humanoid
appearance comes from the humanoid victim sacrificed during its creation—their body absorbed but not fully
digested, giving the ooze both its shape and a macabre warning to those who see it.
These creatures are created by evil priests and mages who serve dark powers associated with corruption,
dissolution, and subterranean domains. They are popular guardians for underwater temples, flooded dungeons,
and subterranean lakes.
A slime slave stands roughly 6 feet tall and weighs about 250 pounds.""

>Worldbuilding is an extremely small part of running a game
It's actually fundamental to it. If you don't do proper worldbuilding, then you won't be prepared for when players do the unexpected, you'll lose immersion when you start making contradictory and disjointed decisions that don't fit what's already been offered, and you'll ultimately fail as a GM.
