Trench Raiding With The Lads Edition

An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.

What are good weapons to nab from other factions? I haven't paid too much attention to gear as much as to units.

You really should pay attention to gear as it's one of the major IS failings.
They're in this weird limbo of not having much of the advanced tech like NA/HL, but also not really having much of the weird/ramshackle stuff that the other factions have.
They have no decent multi-shot weapon (machinegun is usually quite hard to leverage properly), and no weapons with that much punch outside of the Bull only weapons.
And even with those the Murad is a bad choice for the Bull at +0 ranged. And is also the only "artillery" weapon that doesn't ignore long range/cover in some capacity, while also causing no injury rolls on anything other than what's directly hit.
So good picks for HoW to steal are:
NA - Auto-rifle, SMG, Heavy Flamer, Satchel Charge and maybe Machine Armour.
TP - AT Hammer, Auto-pistol and Martyrdom Pills.
My personal picks are the heavy flamer and auto-pistol as those give you anti-armour punch and a multi-shot weapon that a dual pistol melee focused Alchemist can really mke work.

He starts off as this cool big brother type with a hidden backstory and mysterious motivations. But the more you learn, thr worse it gets. Make it 1WB and 1/3. Vigilance and First Strike. I would try to word the first ability like it gains indest and deathtouch if it's attacking alone. Blocking doesn't fit NV flavor or MtG color theory. If you want the +1/+1 counters, that's fine.

As-is it's too slow for any real play, but 3 CMC would be OP with both abilities. Refine the abilities like I suggest and I think it could work.

Bardo is a very specific mentality towards humanity. Most Tzimisce see humans are we see bugs. They feel forced to eat them and that they are much better than humans. That's why they try so hard to detatch themselves to become something superior.

Logically speaking, there can be Tzimisce that follow Bardo, which isn't just a Discipline, but an entire moral ethos. But, they'd be the odd ones.

I often suffer from the same issue with Dark Heresy in that people seem to play it as a dungeon crawler and everyone gets over geared rapidly. Current campaign is in hiatus but we're mid career and it's only the second "mission". People walking around with bolters and carapace - again, no one is checking weight/ammo/reloads etc. I bring up playing Wrath instead but everyone just says it's a shit system but they've never played.

I don't check weight too much, I always felt it was superfluous. However, I do usually use basically loadouts (usually 2 weapons and maybe a sidearm/melee weapon), and tell peeps that if their loadout seems unreasonably heavy then they probably won't fit it on their body. I do tell peeps to carefully check their ammo and reloads, though. OSP is very important, and the teams have to figure out weapon and ammo transportation, such as spending time outfitting a vehicle with ammo racks, purchasing ammo drops, or that one time they bought a porter slave.

Ok, gonna try to get it done for this evening, here's the New Alamo Outlaw. Very cheap, low Discipline, that will likely require you to use Ambush mechanics or loading up on Alcohol to get them to push through the mid and late game.
Thinking there could be some campaign mechanics (maybe a Criminal sponsor?) where that roll may turn into a promotion mechanic.

Stage Coach. Lots of rules, but I think it should be simple enough once it hit the table. Shelter rules are for the Frontier Settler, if you load on them then all you have to do is give your passenger Warm Meals and you'll recoup a part of your cost. Not enough to turn it into a legitimate econ engine, but a start.
RAW there's nothing to prevent you from using the Stage Coach's Embarked models for the various Ambushes, so there's a bit of gimmick there to pull as well.
(Fml new kitten likes to tapdance on my keyboard I had to rewrite this twice already... )

It's actually pretty simple to do if you want - mech provides and upper limit on how many actions, speed, dodge and so on you can pull out. Pilot provides the skills. And the result of pilot getting into the mech is worst of the two stats.

Let's say we have mech:
4 arms with weapons
5 speed

As a result you get a mech with 4 weapons only one of which could be used per turn and mech can move up to 5 but turn only 2 times during the turn due to pilot's limited skills not being able to keep up with mech speed.
Add that Weapons(plus weapon special rules) and Piloting(or speed if lower) determine chances to hit and dodge.

Don't think so, but you might be able to just build Roadstrikers from scratch. Or maybe use the ATs from the Votoms Fuzion book. I think Old SilCore is similar enough to Mektons Interlock that you could just consider using HG 2e.

Looks fun. Curious to know how 4e runs. I get the feeling it's easier to play than it is to read. Also I'm itching for that St. Vincent material for HG 4e. Might be my favorite TN era conceptually but there's not too much on it.

This is very much true. The rulebook itself is needlessly bloated and written in a cumbersome manner, but the core system itself really is simple when it comes down to it.
The real tricky part is keeping track of various 'side' rules that are hidden away in various paragraphs.

Though I played it with some simplification to the damage system as well, since the default one is pants-on-head retarded.

Same. The new stuff they've added like the Oasis Depths module sounds awesome.
