Just played 3.0 and my biggest issue is with combat>Lots of rules ae based on chargeing, meaning that combats slow down a lot on the 2nd round>Combats can hold units up for multiple turns with nothing much happening>Haveing to take a LD check and breaking after losing 0-1 is dumb from both a fluff and crunch side of things>Volley fire feels like a waste of time, most times nothing happened.So in effect, even with dedicated melle armys, large chunks pf the game get spent in really dull combats where ypu trade like 2 wounds untill someone gets a bad leadership roll, who will probably just rally and be back fighting soon anyway, so it all feels a bit pointless.

My Anchrorite Shrine (St. Meth) just survived his 6th campaign game.I started him out with an Anti Materiel Rifle and he's been doing fantastic work so far.Hallowed Anchorite + Sacred geometry, and I got to promote him after the first game and he scored glorious deeds already. These are the skills I rolled for him and they're nasty as fuck.Question is: Is the AMR the best weapon for this? +1 on ranged attacks thanks to the Sacred Geometry.
