My main problem is the only fluff the setting had in day 1 was various races were hiding in Azyr. Then we got the seasons of war campaign that cemented the cities and Firestorm thereafter gave them concrete rules.
Then 9 years later they basically retcon all of that... Bruh, AoS had NOTHING but Stormcast and this idea of CoS as a cosmopolitan post WHF racial division faction.

No I lived in bedroom suburb in between 3 large cities in the most populated area of my country. But I think that's part of the problem. My town of 300k had like 12 hobby shops like that. None of them did particularly well and they were all expensive and ran by the children of realtors or banking guys. They would all kill themselves with some stupid decision and be replaced with a new one in a couple months. One of the stores died because they ordered a full pallet of dragonsmaze booster boxes and had to sell them for like 40$ each. Funky pops killed a few. Comic books killed a tonne of them. I had been sitting on this idea for two months and I'm glad I managed to pull it off almost without a hitch. The explanation is it wasn't real, just hallucinations from the translation from the time bubble to the room. Passing the WIP test meant trying to force your mind to manifest a vision during the nanosecond they were in the warp, something that was extremely fitting with the librarian rolling a shadow of the warp phenomena moments before, hence the corruption and insanity. Failing or ignoring it meant the PCs minds safely shunned away the visions for what they were: simple visions
