Men who make/roleplay female characters, why do you?
Why do you think it bothers /tg/ so much?

Not every time. My first campaign, the DM and I accidentally made each other's fetish waifus and just couldn't understand why the other found it hot.

>Men who make/roleplay female characters, why do you?
Quite a lot of my income comes from writing erotic fiction. Playing women in TTRPGs means they end up in situations which I can then leverage into erotic scenarios to use in my books. Plus it's fun to imagine all the pretty clothes my character can wear. Say anything else you want, women's clothes are a LOT more fun than mens.

I think he means it’s impossible for a women to swing a sword without it being a direct result of femdom muscle women fetishes by the author.

>it's fun to imagine all the pretty clothes my character can wear.
Actually true. I don't know if it's just the fashion culture, but guy's clothes feel more samey than a lady that's offered eight types of necklines, a myriad of pleat styles, or even just an opening in the dress to flaunt back or hip. Yes it's fantasy, you can give men ruffles and codpieces and tights and patterns like you can't really find in current year factory production fashion, but then you risk being a homo fruit for wanting to play a member of the Swiss Guard and not a knight in plate armor where the most variance is in helmet shape.
My sorceress for example was designed with the idea of her fire magic making her naturally warm enough for minimal layers while wanting to have flair, and that accidentally reverse-engineered a belly-dancer outfit. A sash-supported top for lots of skin exposure, but tied with excess along with a long flowing dress skirt and veil capelet for accentuating and allowing for freedom of movement.

IMO they named too many of the Eight generals. Also they did that thing with Ipithymia that they did with the Lover and made her sexless.

At that point, just make a different character so that people who liked her can feel free to port her forward without much hassle.
>>
>>97221979
For whatever reason I didn't mind what the changes to Ipithymia nearly as much as I did those to Lover. In part it's probably because I always found loli genderbent UCS sex street pretty silly, and in part because Ipithymia, unlike Lover, at least gets a pretty interesting new deal to replace what was removed. It's true that just having the new Ipithymia be a new character with a new name would've been better, though.
>>
>>97221979
>At that point, just make a different character so that people who liked her can feel free to port her forward without much hassle.
You could say the same thing for 3e in general though. Just make a different game.
>>
>>97222115
Nah, 3E as a whole, for all its flaws, is definitely Exalted and obviously written by people who care a whole lot about Exalted. The worst parts about 3E, setting aside the mechanical issues of the core, aren't ones where the writers seem like they'd want to write something else but ones where they half-ass things due to obviously being embarrassed of something from the past editions but simultaneously too fond of that something to really let go and change things. I mean things like Raksi being sort of a cannibal monster still but kind of not, or Lilith, or Lover, or, to a lesser extent, Ipithymia.

It's really fucking weird cause it seems like not only are their other games cheaper than 40k (except maybe 30k) but the rules seem more solid. Like Necromunda is relatively affordable, especially so if you get the rules online. Blood Bowl is even cheaper than MSBG and you can just buy teams on your own and lend to your friends. Even Old World is cheaper than 40k for some reason.

Like the other guy said, Marisbilly has arrived at a very Anti-Life-like endgame from an extremely twisted sense of aesthetics and extremely shallow sense of charity. He deeply and passionately loves humanity, the global structure and general society (and also Solomon, his personal hero). He has zero tolerance for the kind of nuances and individual quirks he believes are ultimately the source of all human suffering, to the point he thinks being a p-zombie is the highest state of being that can be aspired to and wants to share it with every human. Before proceeding to annihilate the fucking universe with magecraft belief logic to ensure only his hollow humanity prospers. Forever.
>>
>>97222550
The finale forces him to fight his Shadow so probably not. He will not get a persona because he denies his shadow
>>
>>97222562
>Before proceeding to annihilate the fucking universe
From his dialogue with Daybit, we at least know that his plan/observation is limited to the observable universe (14 billion light years).
Not that it makes it any less dumb, but at least it makes sense that Daybit would talk about humanity gaining a bad rep if the space around us that is limited to the speed of light would to suddenly vanish.
>>
>>97222550
In terms of pacing (especially how hard they rushed the Olga trauma reveal, given everyone figured out the details long ago and we got introduced to the much sillier U-Olga before the grimdark "twist) it is a complete fucking mess. Kirei retreading his F/SN motivation was tiresome. It has a real Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows kind of feel where the plot is advancing noticeably faster and people are spitting exposition left and right because it needs to.

However, Maris CHALDEAS itself the final boss is...fittingly eldritch and spectacular for what it's supposed to be, Flauros-Solomon-Goetia steals every scene he's in by having the heaviest balls in any room, and even I have to admit even if it's a predictable twist FGO part 2 SHOULD have led with instead of padding itself out with endless silly jobber presidents the Olga torture sequence helps contextualise why U-Olga is so fucked up. Also I like what an unrepentant shitposter and troll Marisbilly is without even trying to be, his autism is off the charts.

It is a mess, but it's a mess with a firm sense of spectacle and drama. My takeaway from this ending is that it was MUCH more well-planned than everything between LB7 and itself, and it's mostly let down by the fact it DOES have to coexist with all the Filler Stall/E-Olga nonsense that let the wind out of the sails for a lot of reveals it wanted to be important.
>>
>>97222575
>My takeaway from this ending is that it was MUCH more well-planned than everything between LB7 and itself
OC2 was pretty good in writing terms. OC3 was fun. OC4 and OC1 was a lot of wasted potential with some cool ideas and designs.
Narratively, I think they made a lot more of sense if you start treating them as affirmation of the human nature against Marisbury's ideas rather than that of Neo-Chaldea/Fujimaru/Mash's ideas.

Eastoids make them hot. I unironically think that westoids would have gotten away with the social justice movement much longer if they kept the marquee characters conventionally cool and attractive.
>>
>>97221926
That's only part of the issue, token characters always feel forced and hamfisted because inherently are unless the whole thing is made with levity in mind or they're part of a joke. In the specific case d&d adventures aren't generic fantasyland escapades but are specifically and for the vast majority about outdoormanship, underworld delving and monster fighting, putting a guy in a conventional wheelchair there only evokes annoying, dragging scenarios, making the guy sit on an unconventional wheelchair (that offsets those inconveniences) makes the whole exercise moot. On the other hand having the cripple strapped to, for example, a dire wolf mount makes the whole experience potentially interesting balancing out the potential grievances.

Look it at this way
If the rules says you can make a downie, BUT you don't have to talk like a downie, and everyone around you treats you normally (not like they would treat a downie), plus you have extra perks like "perpetual Rage", why wouldn't you play a downie
They want to play the gimp in a wheelchair precisely because they DON'T have to be a gimp in a wheelchair

Unfortunately so. That only bothers me because some have really good art that I wish were in paper. Mechanics are whatever because DMP is technically a different game with different rules.
That said, they have brought over some DMP exclusive cards to paper with the DMPCD products (last one in 2023)

I saw that, it's mixed feelings mostly just depending on the card. I don't mind for the vast majority but it usually boils down to like one or two I hyper fixate on. Gives a good opportunity to try shit out without harming the mainline product.

Lances were still arguably one of the better ways to deal with Craftworld Eldar since despite getting a save it was still a 50/50 and they felt damage far more than other fleets. Free column shift was just annoying since it largely meant anything not point blank wasn't super useful.

The charmies I still don't know where I am on them because they're more balanced but I still don't think they're good for the game. I don't that this avenue is a good method of fixing the going 2nd problem. It feels like a bandaid solution to avoid making a revision to the rules.

>I wouldn't expect see that Ash semi sticking,
Nah, I see it going back a year to a half a year. Some reason that hit irritates me, I do kind of like the card. I think the main reason why it's hit is because a lot legacy decks are starting to have supports that lets them draw 2-4 cards now and they want people to use those decks more.

To me charmies still have the Maxx C issue where allowing your opponent to draw is still do good. I, also think that the game is gonna start either move towards decks being able to draw a fuck ton or simple decks that can out out a fuckton of interactions with no effort or massive combos

I scoop if I'm not having fun.
If I'm playing a janky bracket 1 shitpile, we had the turn 0 talk, and still every silly little thing is getting spot-removaled, I'm leaving.
If I'm getting archenemy'd, don't have the means to handle it in my deck, and someone else is clearly the bigger threat, I shouldn't have to constantly switch between being the group archenemy and the group punching bag.
If I'm playing a three color deck, and my landbase is only three lands by turn 7, I'm not going to hope that luck finally stops spitting on me.
If you've casted 10 spells for your turn, and you have the boardstate to do this type of vomit again and again, then I'm not interested.

Magic is supposed to be fun. If I'm not having fun, then there is no point.

I run at least one of demo field, ghost quarter or strip mine in every deck to deal with stuff like mazes end. As long as you aren't shutting someone out it's fine
