>>97256794On the smallest scales the easiest thing is usually to just sculpt it out of putty. The details are gonna be a bit blobby regardless of the method and it's easy. Otherwise get some tiny tank kits like flames of war. Those are shockingly good for kitbashing with mechs.

After about 8 years since I last DM'ed a game, I've been asked to run a session. Unfortunately my books - adnd, 2e, 3e, 3.5, 4e, and 5e are in storage two states away.And i prefer physical copies. Thanks to critical role and the movie DND books have gone up in price which is weird.>4e books are ~10-15$ now. Is it viable to run 4e in 2025? I don't remember hating it and I still remember some home rules to streamline combat to speed it up a touch. Tieflings replaced Gnomes because Gnomes were wildly unpopular and Tieflings, at least on the D&D forums (rip in peace), were insanely popular. Like more popular than Elves. So they got the slot. Dragonborn were more of "We keep getting emails about playing a dragon in Dungeons and DRAGONS so we made sure there were dragon people in the first book so we could say yes" and they didn't want to double up on warrior races so Half Orcs got nudged to be with Barbarian in PHB2.

I'm getting that itch to start a third army now that I'm closing in on "finishing" my second one. I probably won't go for it for a while yet but I'm still thinking on the planning and theming stages and honestly, an army of all/mostly flyers and flying units sounds like it'd be really fun. How many armies can actually do that though? From the top of my head the two Eldar flavors seem the most obvious but I'm curious how many others even can.
