Someone sending you their module isn't a favor, but unpaid work to promote some faggot too poor and too stupid to know that they aren't entitled to other people's time and effort.Besides, if it's so fucking easy, just make your own youtube channel and promote your own content. >>97816639Did he actually troon out?
Well its April 1st again. I return first of all to remember one of /tg/'s finest works: Dungeons the Dragoning 40,000 7th edition. Last year I gave the game a revision, stapling both books together so it could rival a phonebook. This year I have more DtD news: 8th edition is on the way. If you want to try out 7th edition before then though the book is in the same spot as always: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/2/folders/1HTYsfwiIWlGg4UZb5Bi32PYgTxKHUIp8There's also links to a place where you can wait for updates on a playtest. Otherwise, I'll just drop it all in the folder when its done. Happy April Fools.
Hell yeah, this game has been my autistic obsession since like 2017, happy to see it getting updates
>>97817778That's some good cover at. Might I suggest giving the lady of pain the VtM rose?
THANK YOU! I printed a copy of 6.66th edition :)
Welcome to /2eg/, a thread dedicated to all things 2nd Edition D&D related - including settings, lore, modules, and derived systems (Alternity, Buck Rogers XXVc, For Gold and Glory, Hackmaster, Myth and Magic, and more).Since 2e draws heavily from earlier editions, older modules are welcome too. Other media derived from AD&D (such as Infinity Engine video games) also has a home here. It's what you play, not how you play it. RAW or homebrew, as long as your table is having fun, there's no wrong way to play. There's a surprisingly complete 2e fan wiki for rules stuff, it's excellent for quick reference:https://adnd2e.fandom.com/wiki/Advanced_Dungeons_%26_Dragons_2nd_Edition_Wikiad&d 2e archiveaHR0cHM6Ly93ZWIuYXJjaGl2ZS5vcmcvd2ViLzIwMjUwMjA0MTczNzUwL2h0dHBzOi8vdGhlLWV5ZS5ldS9wdWJsaWMvQm9va3MvcnBnLnJlbS51ei9EdW5nZW9ucyUyMCYlMjBEcmFnb25zL0FEJkQlMjAybmQlMjBFZGl0aW9uLw==Remember to keep things civil.Thread Question - why the 2e hate?

The same trolls, the same bumping just to keep a thread up to help split the /osrg/.There is an opportunity to not repeat the mistake, if it was even an honest mistake. And, frankly, it's not really possible to think someone could listen to anything the trolls say and think it's a good idea, so these posts are largely just so you can't pretend you didn't know the exact thing that happened before is going to happen again. If you want to continue to play house with these trolls, have at it.

Maybe the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel stereotypes you'd expect based on being a fire guy. Fire guy doesn't have mythological resonance. >>97813886Sorry, was banned for 3 daysWell, he started off 1st level with some Greyhawk stuff I cooked up, eventually segued into Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil (horrible campaign btw), went through that and ended at it at level 13, we played 5 more adventures and they retired that character at 17th level in 3.x, which is pretty respectable. One of the few characters I ever saw personally retire instead of getting killed in action. I remember he took Hellfire Warlock as a prc but I modified it slightly. 3.x didn't need a lot of homebrewing iirc. I'd have to break out my actual notes for more details. I remember writing down his character level progress, which he changed a bit as we played ofc. That campaign lasted seven years but he went from 1 to 17 in a little over 3 years. Great player and he's become an excellent DM. His pacing is superb. He gathered some great magic items in that game and didn't recovered an Orb of Dragon kind (Black). He is, to date, the only character to ever recover one of those. I should dig out those notes. I think you guys would appreciate them.

I got a spare warpfire dragon head so I think I'm going to build a dragonhide banner with it, bsb is already generic on Thundertusk. Should it be for Leadbelchers, Maneaters, or Ironguts? LGS plays renegade pack so Leadbelchers aren't complete ass.

>>97814099De nada! Any time. I was going to post the random tables when I had time to format them.
Splicers fans, what's up with host armor? In a lot of the book it seems synonymous with Dreadguard, but for some reason Roughnecks and Outriders have it. Why? Especially Outriders, why do they get giant warbeasts AND host armor when packmasters and archangels don't? It feels like they just slapped it on them late in the setting's development to justify the giant host armor creation sectionAlso, how exactly is humanity organized? There are nobles mentioned, but they're ruled by warlords selected through duels, so how does that work? Finally, what is a true Gene-Pool, the stare of a gene-pool beyond Engineer and Librarian?
>>97816979Splicers!The key point is the Bio-E they get assigned. Deeadguards get the most, then roughnecks, then outsiders. The Bio-E means more mods or enhancements, on top of that dreadguards get some metabolism and can upgrade ro a dreadnaught. I think Outriders get host armors because almost all warmounts are saddle mounted. Not just an exposed cockpit but that you are on top of the thing. In my campaign when the Machine was controlling troops they would target the warmount rider.
So what are you working on?>Why should I homebrew?/tg/ products are fairly unique in that it's actually pretty simple to make them these days, with a plethora of products to assist in making and playtesting your game. Making your own games helps understand why games are made the way they are, as well as being fun to do.>What you should postIdeas for games, games you're currently making, updates to your own games in broad strokes, and any homebrewing for existing products that don't get much attention. >>97818983Working on a crunchy tactics martial arts system. Combat uses a independent tick based declare/resolve mechanic where the tick cost is how long before it resolves rather than a cooldown after.Having a weapon changes the tick cost of attacks. Previously different weapon size had different costs with small weapons (like daggers) having 0 change. I am considering a universal "if weapon, cost +1" mechanic which will be cleaner but will lose "realism" for lack of a better word.Is this a level of crunch worth giving up if I cant balance it correctly anyway?
>>97818983>So what are you working on?A homebrew setting that I can EASILY explain to players who literally showed up to the table that very night (so I can run this at conventions). The rules I have already blatantly stolen from a published setting (and will credit them as much). It's basically cyberpunk, but instead of being street criminals, the players are mercenaries who can get into military conflicts that may involve tanks, airstrikes, and artillery (but of course much lower powered conflicts and heists as well). Inspirations include GI JOE and the Metal Gear Solid series.I need something I can fit onto one page of a handout I can literally just hand to a new player who bumbles up to my table at a convention and is looking for a near-future game that resembles cyberpunk. The fastest one-paragraph explanation I can think of is something like "The world is a dystopian shithole where the gap between the rich and the poor is a fucking Grand Canyon but it's become so divided and balkanized that law enforcement is only for those with money - everybody else is subject to the laws of the Wild West. That's where you come in, and you get paid for it."
Ever been called out for your shitty worldbuilding?

cabal trannies are ruining this board with kink positivity
>>97791782I keep most of my kinks out of my DMing, but my players have commented at least once on how so many of my NPCs are androgynous to the point of indeterminate gender. My players all like playing "chaotic" characters, so rather than a political power fantasy for myself, I set up various corrupt institutions for them to overthrow. Magic is made via filtering Forma from the Hyperuranion through different methods, different filters, and different molds. Characters are loosely inspired by figures from various myths and religions.

How whimsical can CtL get? The theme of changelings being afraid of returning keepers grinds down a bit too much for me, and it's worked into so many aspects of the setting it makes me question if it's possible to get away from that. I just wanna be a fairy, man.
