It was never directly stated that the Primarch's were clones. Heck, they were just Chapter Masters and when they got firmed up just before 2nd Ed they were always stated to be genetically engineered, so they weren't clones. Logically bits of their DNA were always taken from others.

The Imperium were literally breeding with Eldar in the RT rulebook.

Salamanders were just black guys (actually it was never explicitly painted and probably just a coincidence from the guide from the paint set but lets roll with that) and the ashen skin guys was itself an incredibly dumb retcon.

The custodes were 100% nothing because there were only four lines of text about them until fucking 8th edition.

LE2 had a beaked helmet, but literally the second marine model ever, LE10, didn't.

The Emperor being dead was always fannon that had a few bits of in-world evidence but just as much that directly contradicted it.

The Emperor's motivations were always shady, given he was literally nicked from Dune and that comes with it.

Part of the AD&D appeal is precisely the monk-like dedication to parse rules from obscure musings from half-forgotten paragraphs in the DMG. OSRIC 3 was always going to be a betrayal of sorts, but I believe it's a needed one in a moment where the original PHB and DMG are available as PoD and retroclones such as OSE or Dragonslayer are slowly but surely evolving into AD&D-lite.

I think so. Player 3 is foaming at the mouth for the chance to kill daemons and already delivered two IC rousing speeches. We got a "daemons could be here. With the warp, you can go anywhere you want" joke and we pretended we never started doing DW and were instead playing our other campaign.

That's what I was going for, to be fair. Completely flip the expectations of how a normal test should go, hence offering players to pick a -20 penalty. The highest WP player failed his 90% chance to succeed, while the lower one passed his 18% twice, so the RNG was also tzeenchian. The reward for the room was a fate point, so they got that back as well, no "gotcha! you wasted resources on an illusion".

At which it either succeeded and blew up a land raider costing twice its points, or failed deserving nothing but destruction for its lack of competence, Either way, losing the predator after is not an issue.
Against anything that isn't a land raider a melta predator can stay safely at maximum range of its melta cannon and use sponson lascannons to shoot off the last remaining HP.

I regularly field two magna melta predators, and they have been quite useful. Initially only did so because I didn't have enough units painted to play 3k points otherwise, but they proved themselves enough that they are now a standard inclusion in my list. Only one of them needs to be lucky once to earn back the points for both predators, and the threat of one-shotting a land raider is enough to make most opponents very reluctant to move their assault transports forward.

Any effect that refers to attacking is specifically talking about attack declaration, if a card doesn't see the attack declaration it can't use "when x attacks" effects. Rosemon wouldn't be able to redirect the attack since the newly played one wouldn't have seen attack declaration.
