Since this appears to be the only char art thread going, maybe you guys can help me out. I'm trying to track down an image I remember seeing on here like 10+ years ago. Female character holding a spear, but the spear had a long red or orange ribbon/streamer/tassel on the butt end.

>>97833239superglue is fine. you don't need to do anything fancy with bases. GW showed off their models with just sand on glue for bases with a little drybrushing for decades.
>>97833304Reminds me of metal slug or the halberd from Kirby>>97833239Personally I like plastic cement cause it’s easier to use than superglue and I’m paranoid about glue getting on my mini’s feet (I like to fully paint the mini then attach the base). But like another anon said you can remove superglue easier and rebase if you need. Don’t worry about the superglued breaking breaking off. You can just sand or scrape off the old dried glue and glue it back. I also heard freezing superglue helps you remove it.

>>97831156>Do you think it could be a good feature if the Wild Magic effects were balanced better? It's supposed to be a gamble for action efficiency.Again, it is a personal deal. I'm not 100% against Wild Magic tables and the like, hence why I say it should be a feat akin to Oracle's Roll the Bones. But the concept is not something that can be all that balanced as a core class feature. If you aren't doing ONLY negative effects to balance out Gambit's potential, then you are very limited in that design space unless you consider the class to be a joke. I can't say it would be UNPOPULAR, I still people gushing fondly about Legacy Ancestors Oracle. I just prefer consistency over chaos unless I get in a good mood or headspace.>Hmm, maybe I could change the value. Gambit is supposed to be the random part of the class. It's less about the value more than the mechanics of Eldritch Ward. You are adding a lot for something that probably gonna end up worse than the Shield cantrip most of the time, just to luckshit some extra defense when you get hit. I rather just cut to the chase and luckshit the damage reduction than fuddle around with a shield, even if I like the shield rules of 2e.>No less than the armors from KineticistIt's actually much more than Kineticist's. Neither Metal Carapace or Hardwood Armor actually scales up to Heavy Armor or grant the Bulwark trait. Sentinel can't grant any unarmored class Heavy Armor like that. This have armor specialization which is usually a separate feat nor comes at Level 1. And again, it auto-scales up and at a faster rate than innate armor like Scaly Hide or Reinforced Chassis. When I say it is poachable, I mean that anyone with +3 STR wants it and can get it cause it would be one of the freest armors in existence. Multiclass Warlocks may have to wait to L4, but it still would be entirely worth it.I will say it already does feel like a class that can fit in with the current roster. Occult Kineticist does sound fun.
>>97831574My idea with Ward is to have a Shield+ cantrip that you can keep raised for +2AC when you get the sustain feat at 12. That's why I didn't add it to Shell like Metal Carapace and Hardwood Armor have their shields. Also so I could improve them separately, but mainly for the later sustain. Will tweak the numbers, though.Shell is a better Armor in Earth, because why do 5/1 when you can do 6/0?
Is it just Me or is the lack of low level monsters in PF2 kinda weird? Seems like the majority is between levels 8 and 13.

>>97833131Fair. A lot of them seem like more of a stretch, or don't offer that much benefit. For instance, Militant fits with the idea of a Warmage who would specialize in Invocation, but the weapon bonuses don't really add to their spellcasting itself. I could see Anagakok working with Abjuration for having some environmental protection and being able to boost the party's defense, or Mystic with Alteration for having a Levitate effect. I already mentioned Witch with Conjuration for the familiar.Astrologer from Complete Sha'ir's could work for Divination maybe? Savage Wizard also has an Omen table which could work. Illusion or Enchantment seem harder to pin down.
>>97833104>I want 2e in /osrg/Nobody cares.>backThis is just outright nonsense. 2e is not an OSR game and as such was never welcome in /osrg/, there has never been any substantial 2e discussion in that general and it's always been politely but firmly asked to be taken elsewhere on the rare occasions it was brought up. The closest thing the troll has to lean on as evidence to the contrary is some unanswered shitposts from like 2014 and bringing that shit up is in itself evidence of bad faith since it says nothing about the long-term status quo of the general.
>>97833422The Omen table is pretty weak, but I could definitely see something similar being given to DivinersSo far what I have is this:Abjurer - Access to armor up to chainmailConjurer - “Secure Familiar” from Witch kit, maybe lower time to appear as level increasesDiviner - TBDEnchanter - TBDIllusionist - TBDInvoker - Militant Wizard kitNecromancer - Undead Master kitTransmuter - Can convert spells into potions as if spell research. Can also make healing potions
>>97833639NTA, but interesting ideas here
>>97833639The witch did also have some options to brew some potions/poisons, so that could be a good avenue for a Transmuter by lowering the level and and adding in other options. Being able to cast while in armor is also pretty big for an Abjuration wizard, though I could see starting with padded and upgrading to better armor after a few levels, depending on how immediate of a benefit you want it to be. I also remembered that there are a couple Gnome kits for Illusionists in the Complete Gnome book, though they mostly just make the spells more efficient. Not the most interesting, but one of them can also craft dust of disappearance.

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade, Gygaxian D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency. If you are new to the OSR, welcome! A lot of the Charms rambled on so much that it became very hard to interpret effects. I'd also add that I was disappointed Infernals *still* didn't appear to escape from Green Sun Nimbus Flare being the center of gravity for melee combat performance, but I was quite impressed by the Hegra Archery Charms.>PresenceThe moment I saw Blasphemous Miracle Providence I dropped what I was doing to draft a treatment of it for our 1e game. Definitely among my top three favorite Charm innovations whose absence in 2e feels so obvious in hindsight.>the trend of Infernals just cheating in compensation for falling short in pure areteThis is the main thing I was worried about regarding 3e Infernal design conceptually; having e.g. your 1s be vulnerable in combat was, IIRC, a big mechanical deal (Excellent Strike is just extremely good) and small deviations add up. This gave me the biggest trouble back when I was trying to homebrew Infernal stuff for 3e.
>>97833591>Blasphemous Miracle Providence. What does it do?
>>97833591>I'm glad it's not the Green Solars angle from the 3e Infernals previewThe whole idea of PC Infernals being prototypes for the "real, cooler NPC Infernals yet to come" was certainly an idea. I was afraid from Essence's impression that they would lean more into Infernals as angry incels, but I'm reasonably happy with the interpretation they ended up with. I'm fairly okay with them being new enough that their impact on the setting is yet to be written; it's certainly more justified than what Lunars have had to deal with for twenty-odd years.>And I'm still waiting for the devs to reconcile the humanoid 3CD statblocks with their celestial forms.I figure the assumption is that their celestial forms are always physically separate from their humanoid forms and never stop doing what they're doing in the heavens, and killing Ligier's human form is identical to killing him as the sun anyway. Interpreting these bodies as, effectively, their spirit sanctums also seems to work.Overall, I'm fond of a lot of the ideas, not necessarily the execution sometimes, and the mechanics are what they are. There is a list of things I already want to appropriate and adapt, so I consider that a win. I hope other Infernalbrained people like myself who play the edition are happy with what we got - or if not, that there's enough for them to homebrew into something good.
