>>97211653>I can say with solid confidence that Haqim was a coward who preferred to avoid a fair fight. Is there a "clan family tree"? I can't seem to find anything searching
>>97211832Hard canon? No. There is however, a lot of speculation. Most clans like to claim descendance from Enoch because he was the oldest, but that's implausible. There's one theory that says that discipline spread shows lineage. Auspex is the mark of Enoch, Obfuscate is the mark of Zillah, and Irad's get have at least one combat discipline and social discipline. It's a pretty shitty system though. Malks have both Auspex and Obfuscate. Toreador fit the Irad definition but also have Auspex. Where do the Gangrel fit in all of this? Did Zillah really have such shit taste in men as to embrace Absimiliard, Haqim, AND Set?Personally I like that there isn't a satisfying answer, leaving you to either just trust what the clans say their lineage is, or leave it a mystery.

Because otherwise I’d totally go for Naming.>>97211006Tbh it’s not like I could know every OC donut steel made by WoD. Though it’s a good start. I don’t know about the confusion bit though? Do fairy players regularly lose memories of their fae selves?I was considering taking as a flaw Slipped Seeming at 5 points, so she constantly has wolf ears and a tail like Holo. Plus Allergy 2 (level 1, and +1 for commonality) to silver. My pooka would have likely stayed with the wolves just for trolling at first, but then she became enamoured with their fight against the wyrm (and weaver in a more personal case).Comment too long. >>97209064Shit bros, I just saw the new busa episode. That was quite good, genuinely felt like a nice low-stakes Hunter encounter.>>97211856The problem with convincing an ST to let you play a Woof Pooka for WtA is unironically>ST will need to read a fair amount of Changeling or they're going to get gigacancer when you get up to your Fae-brained tricksUnless they've already read it, a bit rare, or they're willing too it's almost a dead on arrival context. As for whether or not realistically it'd be a problem, it would depend on if your character was a Kinfolk before being a Changeling. would probably end up with some horny Garou getting some non-Metis making weird shit going on As for losing the Fae aspects, it's not something that should be happening unless the character is actively dipping in and out of constant banality. It could just be a /her/ problem, but also the Wolf fight with the Wyrm is both a case of glamourous plot and some hardcore banality shit. Considering the way the character was slipping into the mists, this is likely the case. The Wolf ritualism is probably high glamour, but the actual war on the Wyrm is some high banality shit>Sex for breeding and making more warriors mitigates the glamorous aspects of the romance>The rigid sept hierarchies are banal because it discourages Kinfolk and others dreaming of more without violence>Pentex is pretty damn Banal despite the whole Apocalypse shit going onYour character is basically setting up for a rollercoaster of Glamour and Banality farming swinging you between being a Woof and being a normie. Garou can sort of lose their spiritual power too so this wouldn't be odd, though I'd imagine Fianna would be able to tell you apart much more easily than normal Garou>tldr nothing stopping you really except getting the ST to read Changeling and not want to kill you afterYou'd also be made of paper, as a caveat

>>97191311Rise of Skywalker is almost incoherently stupid, like, the entire quest is nonsense. Ochi of Bestoon, the great Sith Assassin, fell down and suffocated in quicksand, but he had a special, ceremonial dagger on him, that contained a secret ""map"" that when held up at the right point on the planet that the right part of the second Death Star landed - not completely exploded above Endor - would direct the holder to Palpatine's throne room, where he hid a special space key box that could direct someone to his secret planet where he hid his armada of planet-killer spaceships. Incomprehensible, and they fly now. It's too silly to hate.

>>97139801Based. >>97139776 The character being female is secondary or even tertiary to being narratively and mechanically fun to roleplay. Once the goals are in place, I just go with gut instinct as to whether male or female would be more fitting, either playing into assumptions, subverting them, or a combination of both. Made an Armor-Monk build that morphed into a Barbarian and figured that it'd be neat if the aggressive bruiser could also be a supportive person that likes to cook food and run bedside manner. Figured with the kindness angle, an Amazonian elf could be a tomboy tradwife that grew up having to impress with feats of combat to be worth a damn but secretly wants to be allowed to care. Or I just make a femme fatale because it seemed neat to try. Or a tragic backstory that becomes more tragic as a woman because girls are seen as extra vulnerable. Or I wanted to play an expy that's genderbent so no one notices. Or it's necessary for the plot I made up for the campaign that a woman is kidnapped or imprisoned for such and such dark purpose rather than a man. Or I wanted to design a hot woman. I have just as many reasons for making and playing male characters. As for /tg/, they'll get buttmad over seeing anime elves on an anime image board. Their triggers are as numerous as the snowflakes they claim to hate.

>>97210113>If the damage was done as it was being skinned, wouldn't that be part of the state to which the mending has to restore it?Why would it? Don't forget magic is meta-physical, not physical. It doesn't need to have to be coherent mathematically or logically, it just needs to make sense intuitively. It makes complete sense for a spell to heal a pelt to be a perfect pelt rather than a perfect corpse, simply because the person casting the spell internally see "a Pelt" as a different object from "a Corpse". Don't overthink it.
https://www.realmshelps.net/monsters/block/Dust_Digger>Burrow (Ex): A dust digger can glide through sand, loose soil or almost any sort of loosely packed earth as easily as a fish swims through water. >>97210113This is where language runs into the gap between the common parlance and understood reality and any sort of objective description of Being. A pelt is in some sense both an object and a dismembered organ of a living creature, but in the common tongue in more contexts than not it would be better described as a more mundane object.

Tolkien is to blame for the state of 5e and generic fantasy that you see in TTRPGs. We wouldn't have horrible big fat fantasy books, nor power fantasy / wish fulfilment, which you find in scaling levels through so-called "XP". Fantasy used to be an experimental, creative, and wild genre filled with mad imagination; now, it is all wooden and samey. >tl;drListen to this:https://voca.ro/1Rwc7lMX0hfT

There probably hasn't been a 100% completely one-of-a-kind unique fictional story created in the last 5000-so years of human history. Everything has, to a greater or lesser extent, used something else as inspiration from that point onward. Humans have certain ideas we naturally think are cool, which is part of why dragons were part of folklore on every continent. We ultimately draw from a narrow pool of ideas.
