>You're a native to Shower City. You don't have to be an orphaned high schooler. Pick any background within reason
>None of the companions exist. Instead, everyone is part of an online friend group that, when meeting for the first time, discovered the coffee table rune
>Other runes exist in Shower City that lead to different cities in case you don't want to join the main group. All runes and the objects they're inscribed on are invisible to anyone that lacks the ability to enter Gras Paada.
>The goal is still to defeat the 5 warlords, but in-universe the characters only have a vague prophecy to save the world from evil
>You teleport to the world Gras Paada solo during your first time to gain an adverturer's soul. Any subsequent teleport will require you to teleport with others to reduce its load on the soul
>Items carried by you can be transported with you to and from Gras Paada. The smaller the item, the less likely it is to get lost during the transit. Items that fail to be transferred will return to you when you teleport back.
>By default, souls only give you a themed set of powers and can talk to you after visiting Gras Paada a few times. The amount of influence they have is up to you. Most characters don't transform into their souls, but it's not the be all end all.

Greetings, my loyal Overlords. I will starting the Overlord "Arena" soon-ish. It will not be this thread, or next thread, or the thread after that. This is not an imminent MP. First, I'd like to measure interest. The general premise will be as such:

Lucianus would have a nickname about ravens or crows, because they are inherently very intelligent aimals and they are often observers in floklore, the eyes of Odin and similar. So along the lines of Darkraven, Ravenking, Crowlore.

He would take more time to talk as much in person because he is not used to it, online he talks a lot more, especially if it's about what he likes. Other than the amout of words, the content would be same, he is happy to give advice with problems of logic and games and to share his almost encyclopedic knowledge of folklore and culture.

I don't think we can mix classes completely, but I believe we could have one class (the currently levelled one) not full. So for Humans for example you could have like:
15lvl (completed) base class
10lvl (completed) job class
5lvl (in progress) job class
As to whether you get some of the benefits of the class fully or scaled down, I guess that's up to discussion.
I don't think we'll go for smaller parts than 5lvls, so we can just discuss those. I'd propose not scaling abilities, just not getting all of them, and scaling stats. So, the situations are:

Job classes get 3 abilities (not sure if always, but I guess if one would have 2 or 4 it'd be even easier to split in half). With 5/10 you get first two of those (or I guess we could go only the first one). As for the vitality and martial/caster levels, you get half of it (exact or if you want you can round it, normally rounding when divided by two would result in rounding up, but we could round it down if we want two, especially if we go for 2/3 abilities).

1. For Demi-Humanoids and Heteromorphs: You need to complete your base racial class before you can take other classes. For Humanoids, you need to complete a basic job class. After you have done that, you can multiclass by switching out of a class before it's completed.
2. For Classes that require another class as a prerequisite, that class needs to have been completed.
3. You get a new class skill after investing 3, 5, 10 and 15 levels into the class, starting from the skill at the top first.
4. For vitality, martial and caster classes, you get stat points equal to: round down((your levels in class/max levels in class)*(stat gain in the class))

Swapping after level 3 would result in having extra skills and versatility, but also slightly fewer stats (probably) and hopefully the stronger skills are usually further down the class. Going 3/6/10, 3/7/11/15 doesn't help that. A possible approach of getting two skills at class completion could. So like

I kind of thought it was going to be on some kind of anonymous board.
A name Reza might pick for himself would be rather simple, like Wanderer, or Wind chimes. Maybe he'd use a name that was randomly generated for him way back when, like AmorphousAligator or however Xbox Live used to generate names. Compared to his in person persona who likes to keep his sentences short, his online self might be a bit more talkative, and would type at length to be as clear as possible. Probably more so when talking about his interests, or when in an argument.
As for what he would bring up, it would usually be something about 17th century Europe, or whatever equivalent that is in this world. Not that he needs to bring it up often, since Lucianus and Amaury's threads are close enough to his interest to not bother bringing up new topics. Other than that, his interest has been piqued by wargaming ever since Tomoe brought up historical, and skirmish type games. Then as the anon that brought up the complaint. Please think about the consequences more. You're writing very large-scale plots. Initially, they were kept more in the shadows, but now they are out in the open. I believe you should be more careful about them, so that anons can work around them. For example, clearly setting them out in the timeline and exactly how much information is public news. Including some kind of a way out for anons to mitigate the consequences of your writefags, so they don't mess with their stuff too much, if they don't want to get too strongly involved, would be nice. Like that point I brought up about the characters the Shiketsu getting closed or builds getting pulled out. I think expanding a bit on the response to that which would answer why that didn't happen would be appreciated. For example: the government and Shiketsu staff doubling down on "we will not bend the knee" and using the school as a sign of resilience by increasing security, funding and so on. It could also help explain the inclusion of Ian in the more official capacity.

Is it? I don't think "come up woth your own content" is an argument, unless you are telling him to make his own version of the cyoa. For a normal cyoa it would not even be a problem, making your own adventure is the whole point so being vague is not a problem, but for MP you need a bit more substance than that. If even more detailed settings start arguments such a vague one would make people too buisy arguing to actually play it.

You should focus more on other aspects of Sandy as a villain. We've already seen the destruction and death he can bring directly so maybe you could develop him more as an overarching evil presence, specially no that he's got a group to lead and is sinking his roots in the underworld.
This would make the times where he actually does things directly a lot more intimidating because there'd be more build up.

I don't know. I don't remember any of the abilities saying that they had a limit on how much they could take. As for the ability to damage their absorption first, it would probably have to be in a way they didn't even recognize it to have their absorption up at all, because the absorption isn't passive, but it doesn't seem like it takes very long to activate. So I guess that's the counterplay to absorption, making the argument that it costs chakra to keep up, so you bait out absorption and then wait for them to drop it and get tired so you can hit them with a surprise attack.
