She's likely to stay as a 'normal' member for as long as she stays in Hob House, which may or may not be that long. Aiming for guildmaster would go against her goals, since they're separated from the rest of the guild by the position itself.
She'd rather take basic missions and try to form bonds with the guild members to see what that's like than deal in bureaucracy and leadership. And I'm pretty sure her becoming a guild master would be a terrible look, politically.

Layla's not terribly ambitious unless the topic is killing gods. In the immediate future, she's just looking to chill, hang out with her new friends, and do some missions here and there while looking for gods to slay. She doesn't see herself as experienced enough to be a mentor either. If a day comes that she is more experienced and mature, I could see her becoming a mentor to new members. (Tactics and Archmage means she certainly has the capacity). Becoming a guild leader certainly isn't in the cards however, not as long as Layla can avoid it. Thankfully Mory isn't likely to die or step down any time soon.

It's also possible she'll manage to find gods to slay and end up turning into a god before she has the chance to mentor anyone.

"Priss" is the baseline for experiments in making a perfect ball of death with enough control to not destroy itself in the process of "cleanup". Priss is the first of her kind, trained and modified to be almost unkillable without atomic weapons, DNA manipulation, or total vaporization. Her "sisters" are lesser versions trained to be more stable and have fewer violent episodes than Priss herself has. Every member of Cleanup corps is equipped with a maid uniform and gas mask to hide and scars they choose to keep and give them a properly terrifying look. There primary job is to hunt down escapees with and bring them back broken, but alive. Some on the other hand earn their full wrath.

Priss herself is protective of her "sisters" and others that she "saves", having the odd quirk of mercy until her overdrive kicks in and causes any of that morality to fade and turn her into a deluge of flesh, fire, and waves of fear.

Mistress Lucia made her perfect after all, a being that does not fear death by outside forces: It is childish foolishness to run from such gifts.

Why did you think we didn't have enough Stay Tight Leash Field Agents already? GLOWBRIGHT covers the unstoppable purseur angle, Lucia herself covers the 'new age of constructed parahumans' angle, and people like Tenderloin cover other angels. Should have been an Escape build trying to rescue her "sisters", then I at least could have accepted their existence (you would have take the "Clones" complications to explain the existence of the sisters)

Esty's current plans for the Moon's Watch is to... eventually leave. She really wanted to join a guild because she's impulsive and being in a guild provides her with a lot of real world experience as well as a group of people to become friends with and a place to improve herself. But she still holds her goals and ideals higher than any dedication to staying in the Moon's Watch, and figures that once she's good enough she'll leave and take the world by storm with her own railway network.
But who knows? Maybe the experience of being in a guild will change her in ways she would never expect. Maybe she'll make bonds that she holds too dearly to want to stay away from them for too long, and will be forced to stay as a guild member as well as pushing towards her dream.

Hob House has a bit of a crisis of succession at the moment, and so do the Ugard Industries as a whole. Raising successors for both would be ideal, but no one stood out as the perfect candidate.
For Ugard Industries, Bastly considers either adopting one of the branch directors and making him inherit it and keep it running, or just splitting the company into separate branches and having each branch continue independently under its directors. In either case, there would be provisions securing the support for the Hob House and charity works.
For the Hob House itself, among the members that stand out more [PCs] the one most suited would probably be Alaric, but the issue is that he's rather old too. Ibuki is a royal, so she'll have enough of her own responsibilities when the time comes, without saddling her with a Guild Mistress position. Seph is still a bit too unstable for that, maybe if her socialization progresses further she could be considered; in a way it would be an ideal outcome because it'd be a proof that Hob House was able to help her, but Bastly doesn't think they are quite there yet.
Because of that, the current arrangements in Bastly's will are such that one of the more reliable, if lesser known, members of the Hob House [nameless NPC S-Ranker] is chosen as a provisional Guild Master, while a merge proposal is sent to Father Mond. The details of the process are left to the Master of the Moon's Watch and the provisional Master of the Hob House. There are currently outlined 4 propositions:
-Both guilds become one, under a new name, with Father Mond as the head.
-Hob House becomes a branch of the Moon's Watch, with the provisional Master of the Hob House elevated to the position of a branch Master.
-As above, but the provisional Master becomes an advisor, and the branch Master is some trusted member of the Moon's Watch.
-No merge happens. Hob House remains independent, with the provisional Master elevated to the rank of a full Guild Master.

Lorus had a simple plan, survive and learn, and it's going pretty well. He found friends, more or less, and he does not plan to rise to the role of guild master, he would not like the amount of responisbility that implies he already failed to live up to that expectation anyway.

If there are ever new recruits and Chrysalis recovers he will be very happy to help, he knows what it feels like to be out of place. Considering how things are going it seems unlikely that Chrysalis becomes bad again, only Mory is really evil of the current members so it's more likely she gets neutralized if she turns out to be irredeemable instead. If somehow Chrysalis disbands he will try to join a light guild, and if he manages to recover his memories without snapping and triggering another apocalipse he may even make one himself.

Well, Yam doesn't really have anything he considers too precious among his own possessions. Moon's Watch and Driftview, specifically the people he cares about, are absolutely precious though. If they were 'stolen away' as in they got killed, I guess this is a bad end scenario for Yam. There will be no successor, it will always be Mory, especially now that she's young forever. It doesn't matter if she's surrounded by high mages more fitting to the title of guild master, the guild revolves around her. Achieving eternal youth is the small sign of hope she clings to, using it as a coping mechanism to mock the mage who cursed her with this unintended gift. Though it might have been better if she were stuck at a slightly older age, as the form she has now is too weak. But she has mixed feelings about this, the mage could have turned her into a decrepit elderly woman or a toddler or even stripped her of her magic altogether. It seems the mage left her a tiny opportunity to redeem herself by not making her entirely helpless. Despite this, Mory still curses the mage to this day. Mory is too prideful to endure the pain necessary to break the curse, she would rather confront the mage and demand they lift the curse, without losing her eternal youth, of course.

I hope I can finish up my duties so I can write the Elphasia, Lucius, and Meliadne writefag I have stuck in my head.

It's unlikely that she'd have time to act as the guild's leader in the far future. Short term, she's capable enough on paper if something causes her to suddenly be appointed. Only taking build's into account, letting Seph take the reigns isn't something she'll be a fan of not matter how fond she grows of her — it just looks bad for everyone involved and invites more trouble than it's worth. Iif it does come to that, she won't shy away from flexing her clout to keep anyone from bothering the guild, She'll only become more against Alaric leaving as the weird thing in her chest grows, but he's more or less the best option as long as he's willing.
Mentoring isn't something she currently wants to bother with even if she makes a decent teacher. The only reason she'd do so is to turn new members into her servants in exchange for her tutelage. Though, she might take a try at raising up a successor of her choosing. Even if she's around log enough to be considered a senior, expect her to be strict.

A short one this time.
I'd add a line break before the first dialogue line because right now, reading it makes it sound like it's Kaylee saying it. The same issue appears many times after that. A paragraph opens with a line about Kaylee, then throws a dialogue from Feral, and only after it goes into narrating the villain.
The formatting for the italic part in the second paragraph broke because there is a space after the first asterisk.
Some repetitive phrasings again.
There are also some other issues. Maybe I'm just tired, but this felt a lot rougher to read than the previous parts. Was this written in a rush? Is that also why it's split in parts like that?
I'd expect Kaylee's first reaction to be rage, and for the grief to come only after the battle is over, but I'm not her anon, so it's not up to me to judge.
Feral seeing Kaylee in a very binary "join us or die" way makes sense. Either way, it'd probably end up with the two battle autists fighting, the only question was whether it would be a sparring or a death match.
Other than that, I don't feel like there is much to judge here. More combat, and more build-up towards Orochi's comeback with some classic "rain is the sky crying". I hope the plot will progress more in the next part.

Not the first individual imprudent enough to try and steal from me, and I doubt this will be the last, either. First one is a pretty big deal, and back in the day she'd rampage to get it back.
Nowadays, she wouldn't have the same drive, and missing a few organs isn't really a big deal for her, so she might let it slide. Still, each of her body parts were handcrafted and can't be replaced so long as she's following Fiore's legal system, so if it's something critical, that's pretty bad.

Second is a massive deal, and she'd probably bust out the whole arsenal in a short-sighted rescue attempt. Of course, it's also less likely to happen, considering stealing people is hard.
It would also end poorly, but whoever decided to kidnap Nameless and maybe Ibuki/Bastly is almost guaranteed to be dead.
