If you want to try a Vpet literally, there is some dude who made a Vpet emulator you can download for free for both PC and phone. They're better than the real thing since they can send you notifications when your Digimon requires attention. The problem is that only the original model is available right now. The premium model isn't ready yet.https://k0as7.itch.io/vpet-emulator-windowsandroid-original-v1-6

Almost grabbed this today on a random Ollie's trip, especially when I saw that it's going for $10+ online. It's a shame that it's this weird mocha color though. I'd much rather it in white.
Since netflix is going to buy warner brothers, does this mean Mcfarlane will get a chance to get the DC license back? Also with the Netflix money can he finally get that Spawn movie made?
>>11644571You are picking out little pieces and making points unrelated to what I wrote. The person I replied to responded to someone typing "whore it out" and then tagging "Spinmaster;" the response was partially correct in parts but then added "tiny companies" and combined SM and MT like they were identical or essentially similar. My responses was regarding that, and I used DC as a point of reference since I am very familiar with Warner Consumer Products. I disagree with your points about Netflix being merchandising wizards. They haven't even managed to show that they could create something like the WB shop, which WB mostly failed to make into a common marketplace thing like Disney or LEGO did with their retail, but has still successfully merchandised WB licensed goods since the 1950s. Ditto Disney, which if you want to talk about a company knowing how to "maximize licensing" - they are it. I'm not going to get into a back and forth with you if you want to lick Josh Simon's balls and call Netflix brilliant, that's fine by me. But any industry trades that report on Entertainment, including the merchandising, and industry publications specific to licensing and merchandising all say things like: >Netflix's "subscriber total exceeds those of its competitors, including Disney+ and HBO Max, but it lacks the consumer products and experiences that other streaming platforms offer."
>>11645416>Disney, which if you want to talk about a company knowing how to "maximize licensing" - they are itIs that why star wars and marvel are dead?

Good 1:18 is a baby scale.
>>11650001nah 1/12 is a baby scale given how many boomer Facebook groups have meltdowns any time an action figure isn't exactly 6 inches
>>11650008>>116500011:12 is a good scale for figures, but not for vehicles.
>>11649187Mattel is still invested in it since 1/12 dinosaurs with better than baby toy level articulation are basically impossible to do with anything bigger than the Raptors.>>11649414It was wild seeing retards say the whole things should have cost $130 when the articulartion and sculpt on them obviously put them more on par with Hiya and JoyToys' $25 to $30 figures. The whole set probably should have run at around $210 add to that the 20% Disney fee and you're basically reaching the same price as Haslab give or take 10 bucks.>>11650008>>116500131/6 is good for figures 1/18 is good for vehicals and large animals. 1/12 is for children.
>>11650399>1/6 is good for figures 1/18 is good for vehicals and large animals. 1/12 is for children.1/6 is good for figures that stand still and never get posed. 1/12 is good for actual figures. 1/18 is good for vehicles and monsters.

>>11648863>Lego market research found girls are inherently more narcissistic than boys.Ice seen that in other places but the researches go around the world and back to avoid saying something negative about women.Stuff like women are more likely to worry about crime happening to them despite being the least likely to have a crime happen to them. Or women are more likely to trust women that look like them and will do so almost instantly and having an almost instant mistrust of men or women that do not look like them.Prejudice very well might be born in women and handed to their children. As an aside, mothers are 20% more likely to be child abusers. Its an old meme of a concept but much of the evil in the world might come from bad mothers

>>11650136They should really sell these dolls with play accessories and give them jointed bodies rather than just a bland static doll with a single cheap outfit, my favourite Barbies as a young autist were the ones with good quality clothes and extras so I could imagine what she was doing, thinking of outfits for her, using my cousinās action man accessories with her so she could be a spy etc. So whilst itās nice I think actual kids with downs will kind of like her but not get too much play from her unless they have a bunch of extra stuff, because they probably already have Barbies with MTM bodies that are more fun.

A place to discuss your bouncy ball collection and show off your highest bounces!
>>11649572The rest of us. Seriously, some of my fondest memories are playing with bouncy balls and yo-yos.
In elementary school we'd bounce balls as hard as possible in the washroom to see how crazy we could make the boucing until it inevitably ending up in the toilet. Boing!
When I was in 2nd grade one of the recess ladies gave us these reflex balls to play with, we would spike it into the ground and see who could catch it first.
Me and my best friend had bouncy balls, our play included forming tribes of bouncy balls with social hierarchy and drama, having them engage in combat, building them mud settlements and having bounce height contests between the tribes.I also had one of these and I chewed it open to free the pikachu inside as I was not allowed sharp knives at that age. This was not a true bouncy ball for the bouncy ball tribe as it contained a captive pikachu.

I would like to talk to people over 25-30 whose rooms are often filled with toys that they started collecting back in the 2000-2010s.Most of us have some reason why we have this addiction to toys. We love having new toys and sometimes even give our favorite toys meaning or hunt for a specific toy because it means a lot to us (saw it in cartoon one time as a kid or saw it in store back then and always wanted to have it and etc.etc.).Let's talk about that, share stories and talk abour our reasons and mamories. Will post my story in first post.
>>11648198I hope it didn't come off too bloggy, it felt appropriate for the thread. Whatever the reason for collecting as long as it makes you happy that's all that matters. Sadly the happiness part has been dwindling for me. I still like collecting the ones I like, but the happiness isn't there like it used to be.
>>11646204I didn't start collecting toys until a few years back, around 2019.It was something new to me, I didn't collect toys in my youth, teenage years, or even young adulthood. But at the time, I was going through a lot, I wasn't entirely in my right mind and was dealing with a deep feeling of guilt. So while I was shopping one day, I impulse bought one of pic related. I still remember to this day, that when I got home, I tore the box open, held the doll and wept openly.Since then, I went on to keep collecting dolls, not just like the ones in pick, but whatever I could afford. Plushies, Bootleg BJDs, even going so far as to grab some life size dolls; I got whatever thing caught my eye/heart. I don't merely display, but often hold and cuddle them.I wasn't really happy about my childhood. In fact, I often look back on it with shame about my youthful conduct. So when I'm playing with my dolls, I don't feel like I'm trying to escape the present, but the past and the regrets that still haunt me. I tend to get a ton of criticism about where I am in life from my family, I even get it from roommates in some absurd instances. I'm not a misanthrope, but I do find people exhausting and stressful, especially when their form of affection is "tough"; highly critical, confrontational, insisting that they need to save me from myself.I sadly admit that I find relief in fawning over my collection because I don't feel the constant judgement I do when around other people.
I've been reading manga from scanlation groups since the early 00s. I've stopped purchasing physical manga since I enjoy reading digital more. To somewhat compensate the creators, I purchase official merch such as statues, model kits, figures and toys instead. I know it's not equal, but there aren't a lot of options. I only display 3-6 figures at once, the rest are in storage. I try to swap one or two of them every other week or so when I dust my shelves.
>>11647018That is fucking cool. Cherish your father, cherish the relationship, this is so rare and beautiful.
>>11649743What to say...Anon, you are seen.
Anyone have experience with these Maileg toys, specifically the mice? I bought a bunch of them that I'm going to bring out as a christmas display. I'm a single gay nerd so I have to make my christmas tree look like a family uses it, so I put a bunch of stuff that looks like I have people in my life. Dollhouse general otherwise since these are dollhouse scale.
>>11648616Unless you are in a very rural or some other situation, it's not hard to meet some folks. I haven't had a "family" holiday in over a decade. People make their own families, this is true whether you're a gay nerd, a straight geek or are anti-social autist who plans to pull something untoward at a post office, chapel or school.People meet people and they hang out. I was doing a Christmas Eve pot luck for years with a combination of foreign folks who were in town visiting and had no where else to go, friends of the host, and a lot of invited 'orphans.' As long as you brought booze, food or both, you were welcome.I appreciate wanting to celebrate in your home, though.Mice look okay, not familiar with those; tree looks sad. You'd be better off using whatever toys you own and going to a craft store like Michaels or a fabric store. You don't have to buy Black Series SW clone troopers in stupid plastic santa hats, or TMNT turtles or Batman or any of the crap companies try to sell us this time of year, you can just do it yourself, with the things you have in your own home.

Absolutely disgusting.
Most people seem to agree that Lego and TLG as a company suck now. And while there are some major points normies and MOCers mostly agree on, normies tend to hate on the wrong things about modern Lego. Like, I often hear normies complain about specialized pieces in Lego sets. Which is pretty weird because, while the system has improved a lot over the years with a lot of technical elements making more complex and detailed builds possible, modern Lego sets rarely use unique and specialized pieces anymore. And when they do they're mostly just minifig accessories. It was the 90s, the 2000s and maybe even the early 2010s when Lego went crazy with specialized elements. It's like normies think anything that isn't a basic brick is a specialized element. They'd call a basic Technic liftarm or a rounded System slope "specialized elements". The other thing is that they think now you can only build what you can see on the box art without any space left for customization and creativity. Which might be sort of the case with some of those really cheap and small sets, but adult normies tend to buy those large and expensive ones with a shitton of pieces, so I don't really understand why they think this is the case. Also, I think the existence of Lego Classic and Lego Creator (with those 3in1 sets) proves both of these points wrong. But I imagine most normies are unaware of the existence of these themes, because they aren't actually interested in Lego, they are only interested in the Lego version of Popular License⢠which they only build once then display on a self until they get bored with it.>>11644143>you are wrong because you're nostalgic for a different era than what I feel nostalgia forlol
>>11643988I miss the old Lego figures, I hate how over detailed the modern ones have become
Late 2000s/early 2010s-black friday and christmas season was a period of a plethora of new toys and figures. Fast forward to now and barely anything comes out this time of the year. Why did the companies have to make christmas shit? Dont they want to make money so why would they refuse to put new product out until after the new year?

>>11646646it's not about spoilers it's avoiding what happen with things like Eternals where you have a massive bomb compounded with merc that never sells eating even more money from you. They are getting more cautious hence why things like the 3rd Ant man film getting very little merc at launch because they sooner be late to the party than have billions in unsold merc. And consdiering how that went it showed them that, yes, better to offer nothing the the mindless consumers and bring it out later for them(look at baby Yoda/Grogu) than to flood your market with Rose Tico that to this day, nine years later, can be found in clearance sections.
>>11647038Hasbro didn't have any confirmation of any of them being in No Way Home until they saw the movie in theaters themselves.
