We haven’t come up with a story yet. Let’s first address Isabela’s character and what she’s doing in America

>>217435158After the ending of Sicario 2, she was placed into protective custody but somehow fell through the cracks and the feds lost her, and now with no support and still in hiding from the cartels she works as a stripper in Miami under an assumed name to make a living.
Is there such a thing as a dark romcom?

>“Everything felt so tender that day, even when we were shooting it, Bella and I were just so comfortable with each other. And also, we both have experience in queer relationships — you can just tell when a girl hasn’t kissed a girl before. You can just feel it.” Merced also said that she and Ramsey “added some kisses that weren’t in the original script” and just “based off of our comfortability with each other.” >Merced has previously spoken about being queer in the New York Times. When speaking about playing a queer character from a major video game series, Merced told the Times, “I’ve been queer my whole life, so I never really thought about it.” https://www.them.us/story/isabela-merced-the-last-of-us-actor-queer-identity-representation

>>217434614I do find the budget quite curious. A lot of this movie ended up reusing sets that were presumably built for 28 years later such as the bone temple and the abandoned train. And then the rest of the movie takes place mainly innawoods and in a standard british farmhouse. Ralph Fiennes is the only actor in it who would command a big salary and even then I doubt he cost more than a couple million. Doesn't look look that effects heavy (barely any zombies, barely any set extensions). I dunno where the money would've went.I thought years costing $60 million was also a bit odd but it was definitely more effects and location heavy.
>>217434858its like how they say Avatar 3 costs 400 million. when they spoke extensively how 2 and 3 were made at the same time. Sure thats much more effects heavy, but 3 uses a lot of the same environments and models as 2.
>>217434858For me the most telling part was lack of brutal zombie kills from Samson. The train scene was underwhelming for how violent it could have been
>>217434188Everyone hated the previous one. People jusy want to see Cillian Murphy again. Who wants to watch a continuation but with a director who can't at least make it visually interesting like Boyle can?
>>217434858Cillian Murphy, Danny Boyle, and Alex Garland all command a huge salary, even if Cillian was only it in for 2 minutes and Boyle was a producer

>>217429605It's a way people express themselves. We don't have true subcultures anymore and I think the push to monetize hobbies and comparing yourself to superior artists via the web puts a lot of people off of ways to express themselves like painting etc. Enter tattoos. A sort of blue collar way of rebelling. Sure, richfags hate them but they're not going to sail their own cargo across the ocean or work in a machine shop so they have to deal with it. Women find that willingness to take risks sexy and because society is gender-confused they want to mirror stuff they see on guys they find hot. And besides, baristas, rich kids, and college students want that sense of working class authenticityfor themselves. Rather like 2000's hipsters drinking PBR and wearing Carhartt jackets. I'm already in tldr territory so I'll also argue the social contract is totally broken. There's no longer the will to punish weird antisocial behavior by the poor(hence stuff like unleashed dogs, loud speaker convos, music on bluetooth speakers, etc) and our rulers are too stingy to reward people for following the old rules so people have realized the guardrails are gone. It's like the phenomenon of people wearing pajamas in public. Are they going to get a promotion if they dress nicely? Of course not. Tattoos are the same. You're going to die poor anyways so you might as well get tatted up - and since the HR lady in your office has a full sleeve you should think about getting neck and face tattoos to up the ante and still feel like a rebel. tl;dr Tattoos aren't going anywhere.
