One time, Edie Falco, who was like a mother to me, said she was on a skin diet or something and pulled off the chicken skins from her deep fried drumsticks. "Don't mind if I do," James said as he grabbed them off her plate with gravy dipped fingers and sucked them into his mouth like a vaccum hose sucks up a loose tissue. He was my hero.
