So I liked weapons not because it is a perfect horror or that it is some brilliant movie it perfectly encapsulates that the less you understand something and its magic system the more frightening it is.For example a fucken similar movie that I did find incredibly frightening far more then weapons (because fat gay man zombie running to kill you is not frightening) is the happening. That movie is frightening because you have no idea what is going on.Was it he fucken trees who did it?What would make the movie more frightening is if they did not reveled the witch wand they make other spooky things happen and in other houses maybe concentrate on the ant documentary they did have and have more episodes of people going full happening and running into walls or killing themselves. The end of the movie would be the government nuking the town and everyone theorize WTF that was>Virus?>Alien infection?>Bio weapon?>Psychological programing ?>MKULTRA?>Chemicals in the food supply?>genetic engineering of food?>5G?Comment too long. >>214423635Why do you hate it? Best horror.People reacting to the unknown.
>>214422994The Happening was the first A24 horror. People just weren't ready. Ari Aster could make an identical movie today and people would go apeshit.
>>214423866A24 would hire better actor and somehow find a way to make it really boring
>>214423813>OK. And???
I feel like The Conjuring is below them as actors yet they keep doing it
>>214423738>Shame it was all according to keikakuwell yeah, there wouldn't be much of a movie otherwise, but we need more horror flicks where "i know! let's LEAVE." is taken seriously but goes wrong for them.>go to a hotel but everyone involved gets withdrawal symptoms until they go back home>move to a family or friend's place somewhat nearby and continually keep sleepwalking back to the haunted place>go elsewhere and wake up to find that not only has your house supernaturally replaced the house across the street overnight, but there is now a tunnel between it and your new sanctuary, effectively linking them as one big haunted entity
>>214423769the idiocy of people is so distressing to me.i thought the internet would educate people but it's just made them easier to turn into dependent brainlets
>>214423819NTA I agree, it's a good compromise. Also scarier when people act with common sense and a decent level of intelligence but it's still not enough.
>>214423846To the Conjuring 2 writers's credit is does actually refer to these images and says they were obvious fakes to try to get the Warrens to leave.Still no excuse for this being a big news story in the UK and probably one of the most famous 'real' ghost stories around (Borely rectory being another, also a known hoax)
>>214423908>scarier when people act with common sense and a decent level of intelligence but it's still not enough.exactly! if they behave like characters doing dumb shit to drive the plot forward, i see them as just that. yawn.
i thought this would be funnier, is just a regular shitty movie with an illogical premise
That's how I remember it as well but I haven't sent it in at least a decade. It was recommended to me by the owner of a video store and I watched about 5 movies he said were so bad they're good and 3 of them involved disabled people and the others were just like innocent hallmark movies. Very spiteful humor I thought on his part. I was very disappointed. He was a really great guy though.
I barely ever watch anime but this one felt intriguing. Anyone here watched it? Is it a waste of time or genuinely good? The reactions online seem a bit mixed.

>>214423161Yes, it falls apart a little bit in the last few episodes and feels rushed, but the journey to get there is great. The War Of Heroes is not to be missed.

Was Louis a bad parent?
>>214402613We recognized she was a bitch but when she was topless the first episode I was horny for her also from that point on even though she's not that hot
>>214414778Guessing but probably Lo-eees. English has a lot of vowels and some languages have far less. The "ih" kind of "i" in Lois is less common than the "ee" kind of "i" in like "going". So ESLs from a lot of languages will just substitiute "ee" for "ih" and it often isn't that bad, but it sounds worse and less natural when its in the middle of the word rather the the start(so the word interior is less bad than the doing it with the word "bin" for example) and its worst when it comes to names, because people are extra sensitive to mispronunciations of names.
>>214422495>connectionsYou know you can sit in on Ivy League classes for free, right? You can just show up and sit down at any class. Make as many connections as you want, dipshit.
>>214406417>still no answersyou are useless
>>214403820I think the show resonated if you had parents that were overbearing but you got the sense they actually wanted you to get a good education and better your lot in life. The 'lesson' wasn't just love your family or something simpler like that, rather it was real and material that life sucks and if you don't bust your ass you will fall behind. All the kids were smart, but that means nothing if it isn't nurtured + the kids themselves have some desire to get ahead. The episode where the parents threaten Reese's teacher who was out to get him really gets to that ethos. Malcolm in the Middle was probably the best written of those early 00s tv shows that Fox would broadcast. It's a great period piece.

Literally so desperate to put one over on the Evil Men-things who're dating younger chicks that they eagerly embrace an almost entirely mockingly insincere online trend that in practice involves the absolutely least desireable men of the least desireable generation being so desperate for pussy they're willing to target equally desperate roasties, and the roasties just endlessly coping that this is somehow a win for them.
