No wonder they're cancelling all PC efforts
>>736263858Is that supposed to be Uncharted? The unnecessary leather shoulder strap thing gave it away.
>>736291354Company drones do not know or notice 'fun'. They know "production value" and those fink-support wokeshit moralizer games tend to be expensive as fuck. So to their mindset those are the best games they have.
>>736291176>defending vendor lock in regardlessBecause it brings benefits to everyone that you refuse to accept.>i gave you hard data with my post and you're still in denialThe "hard data" you gave me was that more people posted reviews on games than before with no context outside of that. Did you forget that for a good five or so years people would rage bait to get clowns for steam points in reviews? Did you forget that Steam's userbase has grown considerably over the years in addition to the releases so it only makes sense there would be more people leaving reviews for games in general? Do we even know what games they're leaving reviews on? Is it counting DLC?>it directly shows that bigger platform= more successful gamesNo it doesn't. It just shows that more reviews have been left for newly released games during periods where we know rage baiting was commonplace and more people entered the Steam ecosystem due to Covid or China. Steam also also implemented systems that pushed for people leaving reviews through events.>it means shovelware and ai slop gets drowned outIt means EVERYTHING gets drowned out including good games.>they don't bring anyThey do and you refuse to acknowledge them because your bias for PC gaming instead of being an idort blinds you to anything to justify it.They bring constant benefits such as targeted niches for developers and consumers to focus on, smaller ecosystems so more visibility for both sides, the ability for new niches to easily form (Soulslikes are the most blatant example of this), the ability for much smaller games to not be drowned out by bigger games or constant game releases as the market is either completely wiped or smaller as a whole, and the ability for developers to eke out a space within the market leading to their brand becoming a major household name. Capcom, Squeenix, Konami, Koei Tecmo, Activision, EA, Ubisoft, Atlus, Sega, Rockstar, and more are all household names because of consoles.
>>736264270Gameplay is great. Story was unfortunate.
>>736263858that covers a single concord flop, not bad, imo. but snoys don't get the PC platform, games like bloodborne sell like crazy, and cinematic walking sims for homosexuals don't. they'd have more success by porting old ps2 games to steam.
I'm considering buying a tablet for mobile gaming. My current phone, a Samsung just doesn't have enough space to have more than one game (Pokemon TCG Pocket in this case). I thought I could just buy a flash card to increase the space but apparently apps can't be installed on that, who knew? So I'm wondering what the best tablet would be for games like that along with certain Gacha games I've been meaning to try along with other games I stopped playing because I couldn't fit it on the phone.
>>736291150There isnt any. Tablets are dogshit for games.

None get an Android handheld instead. Some of my favorites.Odine Portal 2 - Awesome big OLED screen, 250$ on sale, can play everything up to Switch and Stream from PC. Beware Ayn's shipping takes like 2 months.Retroid Pocket 6 - Top of the line RP, Smaller than the Portal but more powerful. Also more expensive. The 12GB Ram was discontinued but 8 should be fine for 99% of games.RP Flip 2 - a more budget option, around 220$ but it can also run up to some Switch games and Stream from PC. The best part is the portability and clamshell design. Miyoo Flip V2 - My fav right now, made a post about it. Its a super compact GB SP looking device. Super cheap but it can run all emulators up to PSP and Dream Cast. Its not Android, its Linux, but with the ESDE Front end it looks just as good. The downsides is that the hinge is fragile and it doesnt have fast charge, but this is the cheapest handheld worth buying because you can carry it anywhere in your pocket. It also has the most features including HDMi out. You can get it anywhere from 40$ to 70$ depending on sales and coupons. Its worth it even at full price IMO.

>>736289501this one, right? because it had me stuck for the longest time before I figured it out so far. A lot of the bonus puzzles require the kind of niche mechanic interactions the game doesn't outright tell you but can be discovered through experimenting
>>736290436No, Sleep Jumping is pic related. I don't remember the exact solution for the one you posted, but it didn't stump me the same way. Still took a few minutes, though.>can be discovered through experimentingYeah, Conveyor Belt stumped me for a while for that reason.

Some of you zoomies don't know this, but hard games were invented by arcades in order to steal difficulty from children. They have no artistic value whatsoever, they are purely a monetary and financial decision. No game should be hard EVER.

>>736291243you are right every game needs to be filled with arbitrary backtracking and missables based on that.if you dont check every npc you met before after every event even if many of them havent changed before you are clearly playing rpgs wrong and there is no way to design this better.
>>736240246>Play Final Fantasy 6!I'll play 5 instead
>>736291573>arbitraryAgain, you just keep cooking yourself.>if you dont check every npc you met before after every event even if many of them havent changed beforeThis isn't even true, though. And the game actually DOES tell you to go back to Tycoon if you talk to King Walse's retainers after the wind crystal shatters. They specifically say that you should go back to your castle and let everyone know you're okay now that you found the king's wind drake because they are likely worried about you, and it results in a bunch of treasure and the first of three missable cutscenes. So it's definitely not "arbitrary".Honestly, if you don't take the initiative to revisit the castle again after you find the king, and then once more after he dies in your fucking arms, you're kind of a heartless twit who clearly can't handle the agency of playing a video game. Just stick to your netflix/hulu/disney+ subscriptions if you need to be spoonfed storyslop that badly. You clearly don't want to be the hero in an adventure; you just want to watch one and not actually engage.

>>736284093Devs came to the terrible realization that they have to release any new games on nintendo platforms.
>>736286673slap 'cancel' between x and .
>>736284093The series was already stagnating and instead of doing something about it Hideous Baba sabotaged Zestiria by replacing the main heroine with a last minute character, voiced by a seiyuu he had a crush on and by the end of production he had impregnated her. Also there's subtle things like Go Shina carrying the music quality but then he left Bamco so that's gone. Just a gradual decay of talent and vision I guess.
>>736291160Abyss > Vesperia > Xillia 2 > Eternia > Symphonia > Destiny DC = Xillia > Berseria > Phantasia > Rebirth > Legendia = Zestiria
I still don't understand what the point of re-releasing Berseria was, especially when Xillia 2 is still trapped on PS3.
did Bendy and The Ink Machine have potential?to this day i still wonder what it could've been if made by competent people
>>736290870Cringe ass Epic Mickey rip off
Feel bad for it. Bendy's best idea, it's visual identity, is mogged by Cuphead coming out with the steal chair. Glad they've seem to recovered after the kindly beast idiot shat up the first game
>>736290870A horror game based off rubber hose era cartoons isn't a bad idea. Bendy was a boring walking simulator that slowly evolved into a bad stealth game with occasional bad boss fights. Dark Revival was more of the same. If the creators are dead set on keeping the same characters, then they should shake up the gameplay formula completely. Maybe ripoff Resident Evil.>The player is forced to explore a cursed cartoon studio, solving puzzles and collecting items to progress.>Grunt characters come from different studio franchises and can be killed. Kill too many and a special character spawns who not only chases you but also grants a debuff (Some doors cost health to use, you must give up an item to save, you can no longer sprint)>All franchises hate each other, so enough killing grunts from a different franchise will despawn the special character.>Gameplay is all about balancing kills and solving puzzles. Different endings depending on what franchises hate you at the end.
