How do you guys think the undertale prequel fan games in development should handle saving for the souls? My idea is hallucinations, everytime a soul dies,he wakes up and start at the last point he slept at(that's his way of saving,taking rest at various places,everytime he dies,it's a bad ending). Another idea I have is a character from the future travelled backing in time to stop something horrible from happening after the undertale ending and is helping the soul out. To me,this is good idea because you can introduce the original cast without breaking canon. Heck,this could be the weird route or the true ending of a prequel game.

The first game is amazing for its time (and honestly not that much less "deep" than the original DMC which doesn't even have air combos), the second game is arguably the best in the trilogy and better than the first for sure, and the third is also incredible and hasn't aged a day graphically. Even the PSP games are pretty good. The games that follow after that are basically a different genre with rpg numbers shit so we don't talk about those. Meanwhile DMC has the first game being amazing, the second game being one of the worst games ever made, the third game being a masterpiece. And then a lacking and incomplete fourth game, and a mediocre fifth game. And a reboot that is a piece of trash. Not exactly a spotless record.
