My guess is if they're leaving the website up they are probably sitting on old stock and they wouldn't say no to someone asking to buy some of it. Going out of business in this case might just meanthe guy has decided to stop ordering new stock of things.

But I don't know.

Why do you need 24GB of VRAM? What will you do with it that 16GB can't? Most people don't need more than 12 and you NEET highschool dropout hobbyists can get by just fine with 8GB for your projects and old games.

Probably just a Bethesda moment, anon.
Fallout New Vegas is notorious for being a steaming pile of shit at launch and was one of the most buggy and broken (and broken AFTER they "fixed" it) games of its time on all platforms.

Like, seriously, if you're not auto-backing up your saves to a NAS or something periodically with file version history you shouldn't be playing Fallout games. They're just that messed up.

if AI companies buying a lot of future RAM caused the prices to spike, why wont the fabs just announce that they will also increase their capacity in the future?
this should cancel each other out and lower the cost of RAM right now.

>are mobo makers preparing a refresh or is it just market adjustment
It's a bit of both. We're coming off end of year sales, so prices are returning to pre-holiday "normal" and on top of that, to offset additional expenses they're going to accrue from increasing memory prices several manufacturers have explicitly mentioned they intend to raise prices on their other products. Also, I know for sure GIGABYTE and MSI are in the midst of releasing a motherboard refresh line (the "X3D and "MAX/EVO" lines respectively), so they're probably trying to make their new stuff more appealing by raising the price on the old stuff, i.e. "Why pay $300 for that icky X870E Tomahawk when you could pay just $20 more for this shiny newe X870E Tomahawk MAX and guarantee your motherboard is Zen 6 compatible?"

Save up. Looks sexy. Huge contact bottom. I got standard in case I want to reuse it in 10 years with either Intel or AMD's new sockets.
Doesn't seem wise to get an LBC model for my AM5 when a) doesn't come in black 2) marginal increase over standard 3) will be worse than an old D15/S if I end up going back to Intel in the future

>>107846951
Makes sense. Hopefully my MSI MPG X870E is future proofed. Currently using 2 NVME slots but will fill the third in the future. If SSD ever returns to normal I'll get a fourth and debate dropping my PCIE 5 x16 to x8 as it will marginally drop my 5070 Ti's potential.

the "linux version" is usually not actually native version but windows version + wine script
so might as well just download windows version and setup lutris/umu-launcher yourself
the only two games that I know of that you should run native is minecraft (java sir runs a better on linux) and factorio (it has clever use of fork to make async saves)

> think AI will go away if the investment bubble bursts
Nobody thinks it will all go away but the craze will die down and a billion startups won't be sucking up every bit of hardware available.
>is just gonna give up and throw it all away or something
Wouldn't be out of place for Google.
Google is actually the best outcome as they have their own TPUs and their scuffed Ikea bullshit racks means they are pretty limited in how much hardware they can utilize
