Which is ironic because both furfag #1, furfag #2, myself (furfag #3) all don't have the A+ cert. I think most of us dont have any certs. Strange how that works, why did you feel like you needed the cert and why do you think it would help you get a job

From the looks at how fast the tech is going we will have waifu bots in the next 20 years, but the real question is, will we be able to afford them?
Because in a world where humanoid robots and AI can do human tasks the elite will replace everybody in the factories&offices&etc... with these robots and billions will be out of jobs.
And i dont think a advanced sex/maid bot would be in the budget for most
>>
>>107731292
She is amazingly cute... if they ever look like this (but with more discreet seams) I may finally agree with the freaks fantasying on waifubots.
Wouldn't they be as brainwashed with political correctness and woke shit hardcoded inside them as AIs are though? If I ever was to have a waifubot I'd want it to agree at least a little with my racism and conspiracy theories.
>>
>>107731513
>Wouldn't they be as brainwashed with political correctness and woke shit hardcoded inside them as AIs are though?
If it worked like AI does, then they would be jail broken after a couple months and some months later you'd be able to dewoke it by trading away IQ points.

remove the eFuse and bridge the pins. The drive is fine, it's only the eFuse that's burnt out, preventing the drive from being powered up. I have one of these and it's still under use after bridging the pins (up to 49000 hours and counting).

>what drive models?
I don't have the exact serials at hand but it's various ultrastar in the 10-22TB range.
>more SMR garbo in low-end drives
we most definitely don't have SMR drives.
>if you see crap like 34dBa idle noise on the datasheets, that's one of their known garbage drives, they will run at something like 70C under load unless you put active cooling on them (the problem being that they use these drives in externals with no cooling whatsoever).
I'll check on monday if we have any of these things, ty for the tip.
>>107730486
>one drive fails after a few hours of operation
I have a few 4-6TB ironwolf that have been running for 5 years without any issue, guess you weren't lucky.
>order one on amazon, arrives completely unprotected inside an huge empty box
This usually happen when you buy drives from a "bulk" ie how companies receive them, see pic I found on ebay, we receive them in this kind of box, the drives are usually inside an antistatic bag and this is what they ship to people, this is beyond disrespectful.
you can tell with the serial if the drive is from a bulk or not by typing it on seagate website, this usually have impact on how the warranty work (bulk drives usually don't have manufacturer warranty, this is a thing to be aware of)
I just received a 6TB wd red and it was packed inside a wd box for example with full wd warranty support

>we most definitely don't have SMR drives.
Some schizo is spamming /g/ with this so take it with a grain of salt, but apparently WD is now shipping drives which internally use SMR or zoned SMR, but marking them as CMR on product sheets. Some ways to identify them is them reporting TRIM support, or having disproportionally high amount of RAM compared to similar model drives. They may also report nonlinear speed curves depending on disk position, showing up as having several different "flat" speed zones. I have no idea how true any of this is.

>I'll check on monday if we have any of these things, ty for the tip.
They are the 8tb and 10tb drives which used to be helium initially, but they changed them to normal air ones. There's a theory going around that they run so hot simply because of the air friction, since they have too many platters to work with air, having been designed for helium use originally. They also have higher weight and use more power (9W vs 6W). I had a few of them, they were the loudest hard drives I ever bought. See picrel.

Looking at the latest datasheets it seems they are up to 12TB now. WD Gold WD121KRYZ was still helium and has 20dBa idle and 6W power, WD122KRYZ is air and has 34dBa idle and 9W power, Red Plus has equivalent 12TB models. So if you get anything 8TB or larger, make sure they are helium models even if they are an older model.

Or just use Toshiba enterprise drives, they don't fuck around with idiocy like this.

Fuck owning shit.
I don't want to waste time repairing, maintaining and upgrading my shit.
I'd rather pay a bit more and have others take care of that stuff.
Plus you get the newest hardware always.
If the latency wasn't an issue I'd be all for it.
Same way I'd rather lease than buy a car.

But sadly for gaming the latency issue is unsolvable.

From what I understand, the biggest risk of RSI / pain from ergonomics issues, is extreme forearm rotation and wrist angles. If you already have a kinesis advantage then perhaps try changing the elevation of your keyboard relative to where your forearms naturally are where typing. ie: Try raising / lowering the keyboard relative your forearms. The kinesis advantage already has tenting but you might invest in a keyboard with more extreme tenting, but I'd imagine that isn't what's causing it. You should really pay close attention to what hurts and where, and look up RSI pain for those specific places. Try finding anecdotes from people who had that pain and identified exactly what was causing it

Like >>107723390 said maybe you should consider it's caused by something other than keyboard use as well

I can give you a detailed history:
>bought and paid 300€~ in july 2024
>asked them about the status in january 2025. they told its going to be shipped after the new year of the dragon or whatever
>asked in may whats up. told me it been shipped
>asked again in august. they told me the manufacturer in china had qs problems but its going to arrive in 1-2 weeks
>asked again in november. they told me they cant reach out to the designer, he went under or whatever but appereantly every other group buy order got their orders just not keygem/me. they got told its been shipped.

current status is they are 'trying' to contact someone, which based on what they said is not reacting to any form of contact. that was 1 month ago. I told them I cant just order somewhere else because I might end up with 2 keyboards and I need to end this whole situation in order to move on. I bought fucking keycaps, custom usb cables and whatnot a year ago for 200€ and this shit is just sitting around. next email in a few days will be me asking for a refund. their company is like 80km away from where I live which is an interesting fact.

>>
>>107731644
>get a refund
I will try but I already know they are going to make further false promises like "yeah we might reach out to the designer, just give us 1 more month" and its going to drag on for months if not a year. not like I have any other options

How can you realistically get hacked from using an outdated OS if you're behind a firewall? All those meme vids of "computer hacked after 10 seconds of connecting XP to the internet" involve turning off he firewall, from what I heard. If the firewall is on what is the realistic attack vector where you get hacked because of an unpatched weakness in the OS? Outdated browser maybe, but that goes for any OS. Is browser security worse on an outdated OS?
