why didn't you guys buy 3090s when everyone here told you to? nocarders in shambles
>>107731615I feel pretty good about buying a 3090 in November. Wasn't even in this thread. Just had a feeling.
>>107731243yjk
>>107731672the gloves stay on
>>107731660Same. Just bought a 3090 Ti for kicks since I wanted to play around with AI and only had a 4080 and the 3090 Ti's were going for 500eur here used at the time.
It's 2026. How close are Waifu robots to becoming commercially available? The technology must be close by now, /g/ros...
>>107731340>he doesnt know
>>107731313You're the unc, anon. No one under the age of 30 uses dating apps anymore. It's all about real life vibes now. Why do you think dating app stocks are wiped the fuck out and no one talks about dating apps in media from the last 5 years anymore?
>>107731292From the looks at how fast the tech is going we will have waifu bots in the next 20 years, but the real question is, will we be able to afford them?Because in a world where humanoid robots and AI can do human tasks the elite will replace everybody in the factories&offices&etc... with these robots and billions will be out of jobs. And i dont think a advanced sex/maid bot would be in the budget for most
>>107731292She is amazingly cute... if they ever look like this (but with more discreet seams) I may finally agree with the freaks fantasying on waifubots.Wouldn't they be as brainwashed with political correctness and woke shit hardcoded inside them as AIs are though? If I ever was to have a waifubot I'd want it to agree at least a little with my racism and conspiracy theories.
>>107731513>Wouldn't they be as brainwashed with political correctness and woke shit hardcoded inside them as AIs are though? If it worked like AI does, then they would be jail broken after a couple months and some months later you'd be able to dewoke it by trading away IQ points.

I have one of these and it's still under use after bridging the pins (up to 49000 hours and counting).

>>107728346Seagate fucking sucks
>>107730632>we most definitely don't have SMR drives. Some schizo is spamming /g/ with this so take it with a grain of salt, but apparently WD is now shipping drives which internally use SMR or zoned SMR, but marking them as CMR on product sheets. Some ways to identify them is them reporting TRIM support, or having disproportionally high amount of RAM compared to similar model drives. They may also report nonlinear speed curves depending on disk position, showing up as having several different "flat" speed zones. I have no idea how true any of this is.>I'll check on monday if we have any of these things, ty for the tip. They are the 8tb and 10tb drives which used to be helium initially, but they changed them to normal air ones. There's a theory going around that they run so hot simply because of the air friction, since they have too many platters to work with air, having been designed for helium use originally. They also have higher weight and use more power (9W vs 6W). I had a few of them, they were the loudest hard drives I ever bought. See picrel.Looking at the latest datasheets it seems they are up to 12TB now. WD Gold WD121KRYZ was still helium and has 20dBa idle and 6W power, WD122KRYZ is air and has 34dBa idle and 9W power, Red Plus has equivalent 12TB models. So if you get anything 8TB or larger, make sure they are helium models even if they are an older model.Or just use Toshiba enterprise drives, they don't fuck around with idiocy like this.

>>107723363is this what gay furries browse le 4chins on?
>>107723363From what I understand, the biggest risk of RSI / pain from ergonomics issues, is extreme forearm rotation and wrist angles. If you already have a kinesis advantage then perhaps try changing the elevation of your keyboard relative to where your forearms naturally are where typing. ie: Try raising / lowering the keyboard relative your forearms. The kinesis advantage already has tenting but you might invest in a keyboard with more extreme tenting, but I'd imagine that isn't what's causing it. You should really pay close attention to what hurts and where, and look up RSI pain for those specific places. Try finding anecdotes from people who had that pain and identified exactly what was causing itLike >>107723390 said maybe you should consider it's caused by something other than keyboard use as well

I told them I cant just order somewhere else because I might end up with 2 keyboards and I need to end this whole situation in order to move on. I bought fucking keycaps, custom usb cables and whatnot a year ago for 200€ and this shit is just sitting around. next email in a few days will be me asking for a refund. their company is like 80km away from where I live which is an interesting fact.

How can you realistically get hacked from using an outdated OS if you're behind a firewall? All those meme vids of "computer hacked after 10 seconds of connecting XP to the internet" involve turning off he firewall, from what I heard. If the firewall is on what is the realistic attack vector where you get hacked because of an unpatched weakness in the OS? Outdated browser maybe, but that goes for any OS. Is browser security worse on an outdated OS?
