i like it but i've realized i really instinctively feel unnerved by working on physical things. programming is still probably more my speed because i can do stupid shit and then start over from scratch without losing anything. with DIY stuff it's less so, like i make 1 tiny mistake and i end up fucking up the whole thing permanently. i had to give up woodworking because it honestly just broke my heart to lose something i really liked. now i mostly just work with prefab style stuff so i can buy replacements. it still sucks but at least i can take a deep breath and think like "ok i can fix this with money" and rationalize it as an expensive lesson

Newbie here. Used i3 for a bit, can't live without it now. But using no DE requires me to look up wikis for hours just to change some config all the time. Is there a control panel or settings manager with a GUI or TUI? I'm looking for something like nmtui but for all settings like fonts, display, inputs. Or should I just use a DE and change the window manager to i3?
