Interesting, I wonder if the problem with the comfyui implementation lies in the step count. higher than 10 it becomes more and more inconsistent. Now tested between wildminder and diodiogod's TTS suite, the TTS suite is far more consistent and, while still has similar issues, keeping step count below 20 seems to have some form of stability.

this test, at 10 steps, with a very background-noisy sample, honestly blows away everything i was just doing at 20-30 steps before.

it's always something with this shit isn't it? lmg and ldg anti-comfy schizo vindicated!

Selling used drives as new.
They reset the SMART data but some software like Seagate's Field Accessible Reliability Metrics (FARM) might report a higher usage (unless the scammers managed to reset that too)
Here is an article in German: https://www.heise.de/news/Gebrauchte-Seagate-Festplatten-als-Neuware-im-Umlauf-10254276.html

>How would one check if the drive their own is one of these counterfeit ones?
Short answer: you can never be 100% sure.
The problem is shops get scammed themselves and don't always know theor drives are counterfeit.
But when you buy from a reputable store and you see any physical wear (like around the screw holes) or the SMART data or other diagnostics are off you should be able to return it.

Asuna Karin and Toki from Blue Archive. Last couple of shills, been happy with the reception.

It comes with 11 greetings:

1) All three girls were tasked with {{user}} a mission. It goes wrong and {{user}} drinks a military grade aphrodisiac.
2) Obligatory beach episode, Asuna loses her top, Karin is embarrassed and Toki made a sand castle, go wild.
3) Millenium arranged a maid café competition, C&C up against the game development department. Not really fair, so it's up to {{user}} to assist crush the competition.
4) {{user}} is kidnapped by accident* and taken to a safehouse. Toki just suggests the three girls rape him.
5) The three girls find {{user}} has transformed into a shota due to the side effects of a medicine Saya gave him. The instructions for reversal are very explicit.
6) Asuna and Karin are cleaning {{user}}'s office, and Asuna uses an Arousol (aphrodisiac) as cleaning solution.
7) Toki is following Asuna on what is supposed to be an infiltration mission, but they end up in {{user}}'s apartment. Toki takes the opportunity to find out her Sensei's fetishes.
8) Karin is teaching Toki how to act more like a normal girl, with the help of {{user}}, but Toki goes off the rails.
9) Asuna accidentally handcuffs herself to {{user}}, where did she leave the key?
10) Karin is practicing sniping at night in her bunny suit and {{user}} walks in, she doesn't realize it though, and gives Sensei a full look of her ass.

Python is a better way to learn basic programming, but C is the king of languages and can never be dethroned. 1000 years from now, Dennis Ritchie will be regarded as a prophet/saint/gigagenius.
>>
>>106516501
Something with a focus on Windows for starters perhaps?
>>
I never understood the concept of learning any specific programming language. You just use the language that works for what you want to do, and just learn actual programming rather than a language. Especially in the age of LLMs you can get bootstrapped really quick in pretty much any language, and once you can look past the syntax differences, you'll see there's not that much substantial difference between programming languages. Just build software that solves the problem you need to solve and that's it.
>>
>>106516531
If you don't know anything about programming, it's easy to see why someone would ask this. But yes, it really doesn't matter, all the languages are more or less the same unless the languages you compare are from a completely different paradigm.
>>
>>106516531
You are generally correct. All programming languages are just crude expressions of computation in the general sense. My philosophy here is:

- python is the best possible choice for learning because it is so frictionless and simple to get going. It teaches you in a C-like way how to think about core stuff. Loops, variables, etc. Without really any baggage at all.

- C/C++ is the language where you understand how the thing you're writing actually translate to physical hardware in a way that remains abstract enough to still be very powerful. It is the canonical sweet spot in the way nothing we experience ever is.

- assembly is a great bonus once you know C/C++. If you spend a little time with assembly, your brain dissolves C code into cpu instructions on the fly. It's some Matrix shit. You see how it all actually happens. You don't need it to be a good programmer, but it's extremely helpful.

I already know bluetooth mics suck for calls. What I want is something that is as good as the other TWshits for calls, if not minimally better, while still providing good audio, good battery life, physical buttons for music (hopefully customizable) and water protection (IPX4 minimal; better with dust production prefered).

Now for a separate request, any cheap DAC like the fosi DS2 or the DSD512 Fosi (for higher impedance) , but that also features good inline mic support (not sure if there are TRRS ones that are good, so I guess one I can use with a TRRS to 2xTRS Y splitter)?

I need a recommendation since my beloved CCA PLA broke on the pin connector and they are starting to fall apart. Financially I would want the replacement to be under 60€. I am mostly looking for good staging and separation, as well as good bass performance. Only other requirement is that I have very small ear canals so the nozzle cannot be too wide in diameter. I don't care about included tips as I have plenty of tips. Good stock cable would be nice though.

Any ideas? I stopped keeping up with all the memes after I got the PLA so now I'm clueless as to what to look at.

In 2018 I bought a slightly used (about a month) LG V30 for about 300 euro. I've been using it ever since, and it has met all my needs. The sound quality -- both from the built-in speakers and the 3.5mm analog output -- is excellent. It's not bulky or impractically large, and the build quality is outstanding. It looks great, offers expandable storage (to store my music), and I can still get through an entire day on a single charge.

Why can't they make anything like that anymore? I've been looking at recent flagships, and every single one feels like a downgrade -- aside from having the latest specs. There's no expandable storage; instead, they expect you to pay hundreds more for extra internal storage. And if you want to listen to music with wired headphones, you’re stuck carrying around a bulky DAC dongle.

So, what are the options in 2025? It seems like the only viable choices are the Sony Xperia 5 series or the Asus Zenfone (up to the 10th edition). But both have been discontinued, and the Xperia barely sold to begin with -- making it really hard to find one.
So, what now -- just surrender? Or am I missing something? Is there anything out there that still meets these basic, reasonable needs?

Junior roles down 23%.
Senior roles up 14%.

Harvard tracked 285,000 firms. The math is brutal:

Before AI: 1 senior + 3 juniors = 4 person team
After AI: 1 senior + Claude = same output

We're creating a generation of experts with no apprentices. Masters with no students. Mentors with no one to mentor.

Who trains the next generation when AI does all the junior work?

But here's what made my stomach drop:

It's not layoffs.

>>106515090
>are they actually good rulers?
I have already answered that question: "They are out of their fucking minds, but they still manage to point out how the West is insane itself."
They aren't good rulers, but they realize where our rulers are fucking up. It's clear as day, which makes it so fucking irritating, that the rulers of the West keep alienating their people day after day.

>Liberal democracy
Are we that? I have been getting the impression, that the established party's politicians think, that "Our democracy is in danger" when the people start voting for someone else, because "our democrats" have been betraying them.
Also, I'd interpret "liberal" as in "tolerant towards other political views", but especially the people calling themselves "liberals" these days would prefer to eliminate anyone thinking different.

>China will become the #1 superpower of the 21st century
I'm not too sure about that, but it's true the West has completely lost its edge, because it demands equal results irrespective of effort and natural ability and calls anything else "discrimination".
Well, guess what will happen to the West, if it doesn't start discriminating in favor of sheer capability and effort: It is going to die miserably in a swamp of utter sub-mediocrity.

>After almost five decades on air, the future of satellite TV remains uncertain beyond 2029 with broadcasters reluctant to commit to the platform for longer.

A decision needs to be made within the next two years if satellite TV services from Sky and/or Freesat will continue. That’s because the current fleet of satellites are reaching their end of life dates and any replacement satellite needs to be commissioned at least three years in advance.

There are more considerations beyond the cost of the satellite.
You require people to operate the satellite, those are recurring costs over the lifetime of the satellite along with any administrative costs that stem from having those people employed.
Bandwidth in general has gotten cheaper over time. At some point there may be an intersection where the cost to operate and the amortized cost of the satellite itself intersect with the cost of just buying bandwidth from an internet sat provider and running an internet service.

It's possible that intersection may be closer than you'd think as internet satellite providers in general are struggling with consumers and other end users. They might welcome the pivot to other businesses using them as a dumb pipe to carry their video services.

What's stopping hypothetical Don'tGiveAFuckistan with it's own resources an space program that isn't self isolated an heavily sanctioned like North Korea economically from beaming said content down with or without the rights holders permission anyway? Is Warner Bros gonna start shooting anti satellite missiles out in space as retaliation?

Probably. Also countries that are out of reach for the western authorities tend to not have space programs. Except Russia i guess. I'm actually surprised they aren't flooding Europe with free sports and propaganda mixed in
