I hate modern Linux. The comfy boomerness of MX Linux is what I crave and need. Fuck your Wayland, fuck your systemd, fuck your cloud bullshit. We using Xfce and have cool grub themes like it's 2007.

I could easily afford a 9900X but it's not really good value at its current price in my country.
>>107010859well I doubt 240fps mordhau is realistic with that but otherwise seems finepersonally I would go for a ssd with dram
>>107010878Which DRAM SSD would you recommend?

>>107010948The 7100 has no DRAM. The Samsung 990 pro does and it costs 278€.

What TV you /g/uys got? Are you happy with it?I got myself a 48" Sony OLED the other day and I really love it. My only issues with it are how the auto brightness barely works, so I have to navigate through the settings every day pretty much. Also sometimes the audio cuts out when I'm playing certain games on my PS5, but that might also be the console's fault.I also wish it didn't have GoogleTV, but I'm sure all smart TVs spy on you nowadays anyway.
TCL 43" C655 QLED. was only about 500 dollarydoos, deshitified the OS (certainly not the worst Android TV install but still), speakers sound alright, picture quality is gold enough for a cheap QLEDhttps://www.tcl.com/au/en/tvs/43c655
>>107007778Hisense 75U8KUses an advanced IPS-style panel called ADS ProLooks great as a monitor thanks to this, wish more companies would use it since I kind of hate Hisense (they sabotage their own firmware of older devices)
>>10700777855'' Sony OLED. I'm quite happy with it. My one complaint is only two of the four HDMI ports are HDMI 2.1. I do think Google TV is one of the better choices because it doesn't gripe when you set it up in offline mode.

Why is AI getting dumber and dumber whilst it's getting more and more money? I'm kind of glad to see it's not the threat that everyone thinks it is, unless it's being gimped on purpose.
>>107010823Art is literally just raw creativity. Admit you are just goalposting. No, the real reason why AI has not taken over everything is hallucination and not having memory. Everything else has been solved but these two problems are bad enough to make AI useless for virtually anything.
>>107010840No drawing is a skill creativity is coming with something up on your own.
Yeah when's AI going to do System 2 thinking? That's the real expensive one.
>>107010797AI definitely can animate but that definitely isn't why animators are struggling to find jobs right now.
>>107010874You can ask it to come up with art or a art exhibit and it shows you stuff that it came up with 100% on its own.

>>107010522The censorship is annoying, but it's made worse by the fact that it's so inconsistent. It used to be that if you couldn't directly prompt for something, you could infer what you wanted it to generate and it would pretty regularly be able to. Now it does it just some times. Or it'll almost completely ignore everything in your prompt.

486SLC CPUIt wasn't really a 486. It was a 386 with some 486 instructions. >The 486SLC can be described as a 386SX with the 486 instruction set and 1K of onboard L1 cache added. Unfortunately it inherited the 386SX's 24-bit address bus (16 MB max. DRAM), and 16-bit datapath which limited its memory bandwidth. Like the 386 and 486SX, it had no on-board x87 math coprocessor, but unlike the 486SX, it could make use of an Intel i287, 387SX or compatible x87 coprocessor. Due to the limitations of the 386SX's bus and its smaller L1 cache, its performance could not compete with the 486SX when the latter was running on a full 32-bit bus.I needed a true 486 to run a multiline BBS. The 486SLC wasn't able to do the required multitasking, so it was wasted money. At the time I was a teen so I wasn't exactly flush with cash for this type of mistake.
