It looks great, but unless the rectangle check is highly optimized doesn't this essentially still have to check every pixel to see if it can expand the rectangle?
Unless the animation is just for show and doesn't reflect the code undernearth.

I built True Path Finder, a tool to facilitate collaboratively finding the truth about what will take a person from one state to another, using a very generic method: 1. Anyone can post any goal they have, or try publicly posted goals. 2. Anyone can try publicly posted methods to achieve that goal, or post their own. 3. Users try the methods and share their experiences as reviews. Repeated reviews are enabled and encouraged, to understand how their experience changes. 4. Users learn about each other’s experiences and may find a better method to achieve their goals.

There's a mode called "My Cave" in which you can do all that but privately. Following the cave analogy prompted me to make subsequent page's background color darker, and also making it so that you can only exit the cave through the page you entered. It was fun :) I hope it helps make it extra clear when you are interacting publicly or privately with the app, since everything else looks the same.

There are also "events" which anyone can create on any method, which are scheduled in advance, people RSVP to, and have 3 phases: Arrival, Practice and Close. A text chat is enabled only in the Arrival and Close phases. The text chat is accesible only in batches of 7 to 21 people, to ensure focused community discussion and allow the group to self-moderate. If all batches are full and a group would have 6 or less people, they would be allowed in full batches.

These events allow people to ask focused questions, reflect, foster community and discipline. They also avoid long asynchronous discussion which may distract from achieving goals. There's a 21 min daily limit for using the app, to drive the point further :)

There's a guest mode available so that you can do everything except post public reviews and chat in events unless you create an account.

yeah I have the same question. it looks like you're making things more complicated and slow because of some notion that a libraries "rectangle" call is magically more efficient

I'm making a litte DSL and it's litle VM for parsing. It occured to me that if you remove both the lexing and the general backtracking, the parser generator becomes very simple.
General backtracking is not needed for a recursive descent parser and writing a lexer by hand is easy and simple, it's not necessary to automate its generation.

You'll have to update us when you do. The picture helps a lot if you want more advice. You have two shades of wood to exploit and most cable covers come in wood grain finishes which makes it a lot easier to stealth up the cables. Use pic related for runs across the floor. You can also find a nice beige one for the carpet run that will blend in with the primary color of the rug. And for running down the leg that's trickier due to the styling of the leg but not impossible. If they were plain legs you could do a hard raceway (not like pic, you typically see them on walls under TVs and they come in every finish imaginable) but with a soft sleeve (fabric or PET depending on how you wanna go).

Flexible sleeving for the leg run examples (there are thousands of options across multiple stores so don't hyper focus on my links):
https://www.amazon.com/Chandelier-Lighting-Management-Fastener-Eggshell/dp/B07MMTG389 (fabric)
https://www.amazon.com/PET-Expandable-Braided-Sleeving-Length/dp/B019EGN7HI (PET)

For the wood floor run (PVC floor raceway):
https://www.amazon.com/Misty-Brown-Wood-Cord-Hider/dp/B0D7VDZ393

For the carpet run (PVC raceway):

Other options:
https://www.amazon.com/Zipper-Cable-Sleeve-Wrap-Storage/dp/B09DMDN294 (zipper sleeves for the leg work but I couldn't find any colors quickly)

Yeah I think the white trim with oak floors and pale stone fireplace demands something bold on the walls to offset the light tones. Though honestly I think the spotlight trained directly on the wall to the left is doing the whole room a disservice, the wall to the right looks a lot better. Might consider a floor lamp there instead. Even though a darker shade of blue would look great, some area lighting and a navy/gray/white patterned rug would make the room look much less washed out imo.

Nah, it's not a low profile keyboard. Maybe mushy isn't the right word, "soft" or padded, maybe?

If I do think the Keychron is too soft but I otherwise want to maybe stick with it, what sort of switches would counteract that. Tactile?

>>107800027
I get that you're suggesting switches, but for/with what board, the Keychron?
>>
>>107800164
sounds like the gaskets then. that's generally considered a premium feature, but it's all preference. the other boards you tried were probably all tray mount which is the cheapest and most straightforward way to do it. if you like that rigidity you ideally want top mount then but again, I don't think you're gonna find it because the more you sink into the keyboard autism rabbit hole, the less common a 100% layout is

>what sort of switches would counteract that. Tactile?
i don't really know, honestly. I will say if you're daring, you could make the board more rigid by replacing the poron with cheap adhesive silicone feet off of amazon and basically convert it into a silicone gasket mount. i just did something similar with a board that was top mount only and made it into a makeshift plateless build

>I want amd to backport zen4 and 5 to am4.
That would be insanely fucking sweet, AM5 is a huge clusterfuck.

>I also want a stack of hbm ram to be included on the cpu.
My dream is to have an APU with decent number of execution units (this will be coming with Medusa Halo which will have a 24CU "medium" sized version), with onboard HBM memory. It either wouldn't need RAM slots or it would work without any RAM installed. Yeah you can't upgrade your memory but in return you have something like 500+ GB/s bandwidth.
But I realise now that even if they made such a thing, the issue would be AMD giving completely fucked up shit support for such a thing. Even Vega 56 had some games it just did not work with whatsoever throughout its entire support history.

>Whatever happened to that amd apu from back in the day that was supposed to have a cpu, gpu and hbm all on one chip?
HBM cost is very high so they are only using it for enterprise stuff which they can sell at 50x the price of consumer products.

“Bestselling” lists on unauditable online stores are useless. They’re heavily massaged to increase profitability, and the integrity of the data is basically inconsequential. Amazon e.t.c. don’t care if you game the system as long as they get their cut. This is just like retards going “this AI song topped one specific category of Billboard on Spotify, it must be true and genuine interest and not someone botting shit for cheap publicity”. Fuckwits like you see it and believe it.
If something is supposedly popular, and you’ve not heard anything about it, it isn’t popular, and it’s being astroturfed. Anything with genuine popularity amongst humans will slowly begin being mentioned, and then eventually you’ll see articles. If it occurs the other way round, someone is bullshitting.

I'm using systemd-networkd on Debian 13 and I'm trying to add a routing policy rule to a macvlan interface but it won't take effect.

This is my scenario: I have two WAN interfaces over a single link (don't ask), both of them are macvlans with different MAC addresses, DUIDs, etc. Inbound connection packets reach the macvlans, but then the replies try to go out the default gateway and connections fail. So I'm giving the macvlans their own routing tables with:
[Route]
Gateway=_ipv6ra
Table=1234
GatewayOnLink=yes

... and trying to add routing policy rules to match, but my settings in the .network file are not being applied unless I match on the IP address, for example this works:
[RoutingPolicyRule]
From=2001:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx::1
Table=1234
Priority=200

But this, which doesn't require knowing the IP address ahead of time, doesn't:

There's nothing fullproof but you could always just have an airgapped device for your notes, or a VM. I use emacs to decrypt .gpg files and store their contents in memory and have ensured autosaving it off. Something could snoop my emacs ram but that's beyond my security scope, I'm not handling nuclear launch codes
>>
>>107792659
Encrypt files individually and only decrypt them when needed. Don't decrypt your entire vault to read one file, exposing every other file even though you don't need them.
>>
>>107798001
It is true the data can likely be siphoned from RAM, but as I use Linux and slowly move from suspicious software like Chrome etc.
As far as I know Obsidian doesn't keep the data anywhere but the vault's folder.
I'm admittedly not aware of clipboard history mechanic, but cursory google indicates I'd need a software for it, so likely not a built-in mechanic (might depend on distro, though).

All in all, I don't think I should be afraid of RAM siphoning or anything like this unless I start doing things that would make people capable of such things target me.

One can never be too paranoid...but there's a point where excessive security cripples the workflow and tasks to a too-hight degree. As >>107798406 adviced to encrypt files individually, that is not a realistic choice due to how I organize my thoughts and notes. A single large document? Reasonable. Obsidian's web of notes? Not so much.

Honestly, unless I want to commit to an unplugged from web device dedicated to writing I don't see increasing my security even more.

Unless I'd made another device that would run encrypted Obsidian on itself and only *stream* the text editor to my screen, rendering the writing secure as long as my screen is not captured and my keys not logged. That's unproductive levels of security, though.
>>
>>107799837
If you're not encryption files individually with different passwords and random salts then you weren't very paranoid to begin with. Enjoy your placebo

Neither the cops nor me ever managed to get into this stuff ever again, which is fine by me.
Sometimes that means losing 1.5 BTC, sometimes that means not giving more power to assholes.
