I personally don't use email. If I need to tell something to someone I just go there in person. Sure it takes longer, but it allows me to create real bonds. Maybe we'll go get drinks, maybe some new business opportunity. Everybody I talk to are like minded and either do the same or send someone in their place. That's fine for me too. Something I'm annoyed over is that they have broken one of the core promises of putting the search results first on the page (as in directly beneath the search field) and all the automated extra info boxes on the right side. Applies to snippets, AI "answers", ads, and everything else.

Might you be the OP? If so, for the 2 system drives (HUS722T2TALA604) you use, were the RPM and cache size additional reasons you chose that model for a system drive? Meaning, is 7200 RPM the minimum for system drives? Otherwise the desktop performance will be too slow? And for system drives, is a bigger cache size better?

I pulled a 500GB HDD from an old DirecTV set-top box. It's a Seagate Pipeline HD 2. Upon plugging it into my desktop Windows doesn't recognize it, so I pulled up disk management and it's there but when I try to initialize it, I get an error that says
>The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
I also tried cleaning the drive in diskpart and it said it was cleaned pretty much instantly so I dunno if that actually did anything at all.

Any ideas?

"I/O Error" almost certainly means it's broken. Confirm by firing up Event Viewer, and checking the System log for errors involving disk, msahci, etc.
If it actually DOES turn out there's nothing wrong, perhaps dropping to a command line and trying DISKPART might give results: sometimes it's happy to do things that the GUI Disk Management console doesn't.
