As a single instance, it doesn't, but you have to remember there are deranged people online who spend their whole lives trying to dox you just for associating with this site.
What if he posts a picture of his build one day on an identity linked account and forgets to block out the serial number? Linked to here just with that.
That would be an extreme case, but I guess the person you are replying to is talking about forming good habits.

Every time I see a discussion on /g/ in which linux distros are compared to both old and new windows versions, I can't help but observe that their users very often resort to lying. Most of them repeats the same old lies like "linux is totally ready for the desktop" or "you will get hacked instantly after using old windows version". Both statements aren't true. Linux still has inferior software support, mediocre hardware compatibility, lacks basic features that were already present in Windows 98 and its community would rather argue over politics than fix the actual issues they have. Most linux users also fail to understand the basics of computer networking and they completely ignore that fact that your computer with good old Windows 7 is completely unreachable from the outside world to any chink botnet equipped with some old SMB exploits. And then, when you point out that most linux software is heavily dependent on one's internet connection, because most programs on linux need their dependencies to be downloaded from the internet, they start mumbling that its the same for Windows (its not), as if piracy and offline installers were never a thing (they absolutely are). You can have a huge collection of software on a single USB stick and use it to re-create your entire workflow on Windows 7, or even modern windows, completely offline and locally with no extra conditions, meanwhile its (almost) impossible to do on linux. Why its all the case though? My best best is that linux users simply need to lie, because they know that their fragmented, divided and incompetent community will never be able to gradually get enough attention on its own, therefore they need to groom people who struggle to deal with software into becoming their fellow abominations.

>and seamless software management.
You mean being forced to connect to the tranny-controlled cloud to install every other program?
>le unpatched exploits
If you had the slightest idea how modern computer networks work, you would know that all devices in your home networks are unreachable to any chink botnets by default. I wonder how deranged you have to be knowingly repeat the same lies just to groom more people into switching to troonix.

what the hell is a "hyprland"? What is a "cachyos"? What is a "bazzite"?
Why can't you just use a normal distro and DE like a normal person, why do we keep recommending this shit to newbs that don't know anything?
They seem like fashion trends, years ago it was manjaro and Pop!_OS, suckless software, etc
Now it's this "immutable" "gayming" shit, just give newbs a proper starter distro, not whatever this gay shit is.
Linux will never be popular on the desktop if we keep doing everything in our power to turn people away. We are literally shilling meme distros and stupid ways of using them instead of having people use linux we tell them to run shit in VMs or through wine or whatever other horseshit, and we make them deal with shit like (((GNOME)))
I swear to God (((GNOME))) is trying to sabotage the loonix desktop
And now kde is getting taken over too
They already killed xorg and they're slandering metux while sitting on their asses with gayland
and no steamOS won't save us, valve isn't making a desktop distro, sorry Linus Racemixing Tips!
freebsd is the cuckoldry OS
openBSD is the schizo OS
windows is dead
where now?

Bazzite runs without issues on desktops and laptops. Its the best distro ive ever used I have access to packages from every distro ever while my base system is impossible to tamper with or to crash whether due to me a faulty update or outside access. Obviously /g/ will be too late to the party.
>>
>>106928647
>just give newbs a proper starter distro,
Immutable distros are for everyone. They are the easiest to install and maintain (and impossible to break regardless how stupid the user) yet at the same time Silverblue distros (like Bazzite) give you access to any other distros packages.

the other thing you forgot:

9. h1b process involves showing you couldn't find anyone "fit for the role" so you put up ghost ads, don't hire anyone on purpose then claim all the candidates were unqualified. there is no actual check in place to confirm whether that was actually the case or not, so it's just a bit of circus before you're allowed to hire more h1bs

At first, I thought GPT-5 had cracked those math problems on its own.
Turns out (as Demis pointed out) GPT-5 just looked up the answers via web search.
We really need better peer review for these “AI discovers science/math” claims.

The last few months have been devastating for LLM dreams:
> Apple reasoning paper and the ASU mirage paper and many others confirmed that LLMs still can’t solve distribution shift.
> GPT-5 came late and fell short.
> Karpathy just said agents aren’t anywhere close, and that AGI is a decade away.
> And Hassabis just blew up some wildly overhyped claims from OpenAI about math.
Game over, man.
LLMs have their place, but anyone expecting the current paradigm to be close to AGI is delusional.
