I have an odd boot problem. I have a Windows 7 install and a Windows 10 install each on a separate drive awhile back.When I try to bypass the W7 drive and boot directly to the Windows 10 drive, it says pic related. This also happens if I remove the W7 drive and leave only the W10 drive plugged in. The only way to boot into Windows 10 is to boot from the W7 drive, then select Windows 10 from the Windows Boot Manager list.I think Windows 10 installed its MBR onto the W7 drive, so that the W10 drive cannot survive on its own without the W7 drive plugged in.Is there a way I can add a MBR or boot manager or whatever to the W10 drive so that I can liberate it from its coupling with the W7 drive and allow it to boot solo? Without losing data on either drive of course.
