I had a 27 inch 1440p QD-OLED and I honestly didn't like it, colors were over saturated and blacks looked kinda purple unless my room was pitch black. I gave it to my brother and bought a 32 inch 4K WOLED display and I really really love it, everyone online says my monitor sucks because its WOLED and has a matte finish and I'm probably the only person in the world who actually likes it. I really like the soft paper whites along with the nice but not overly saturated colors, and the blacks are always completely black. I think you should go into a store and see monitors for yourself, not just blindly believe what people say online
>>106488496You just need a setting for gamma2.2 and gamma srgb that's all.Video games use either one or the other, often modern games ported from consoles or that have a mobile presence use gamma2.2, older ones all use srgb.

Theoretically, can you completely de-India your computer by only using software without any Indian commits? Linus removed all Russian code from the Linux kernel, so something like this is certainly doable. What's a good base to start with for building a non-Indian OS under a free licence? Arch?

What is your DNS setup?
>>106479494How much does this even do, privacy wise? Even if your ISP can't see your DNS traffic, they'll still see your HTTP traffic, right?
>>106488941What does what do?
>>106488941HTTPS alone does not cover DNS. You need to use DoT or DoH. That being said just about every modern browser uses DoH and if your operating system has secure dns setup it'll defer to that. But if your concern is your ISP / Cloudflare / Google / (Whatever DoH resolver you use) snooping on you then DoH does not fix that. DoH only prevents 3rd party observers seeing what you're doing, the endpoint (ISP, Cloudflare, etc) will still see your DNS request... as they need to in order to resolve it.So it's a matter of "who do I trust more". Your ISP (They keep logs for police if subpoenaed, I forget how long but they do). Cloudflare, Google, etc. (Spoiler: Most probably keep logs for legal reasons). Also yes, if you go to a http website your ISP, and everyone else, can snoop on it. Also even with https they can snoop on the IP destination. If you really care about full coverage for both https/http/dns you need a VPN. If you're a schizo you can probably find a VPN in some shithole that won't cooperate with the US. If you're not schizo it just gives a tiny peace of mind, but if the VPN provider keeps logs don't be surprised if they (the feds) can reconstruct what you did. Realistically if you're in that much shit you have lots of other things to worry about imo.

>>106489066Two major uk isps are keeping all dns queries but won't say why. It's a good idea to consider a secure dns these days. At the very least you should all be putting dns on max protection with a custom dns in your browser settings.

Does anyone here use Bootstrap Studio or something like it to build out the front end for websites. >>106489282no, that hasn't happened to me before>>106489322I do, because I have so many fucking files any other app I've tried turns my phone into the demon core trying to index it allI'm not a faggot OP so I'll say I managed to fix it by resetting all app permissions (maybe just need to reset all files access) and restarting my phone again, it took a while but now it seems like the gallery indexed everything properly again and the search is workingI don't know why this shit randomly breaks all the fucking time, I know I have literally hundreds of thousands of files but fuck you restarting my phone shouldn't just make it stop working entirely
>>106489322also I use gallery search because when I download images from threads it makes a folder for that specific thread, so if a thread is titled properly I can just search (series name) or whatever and the gallery will show every image IN those folders instead of just the folders

Gee, it's almost like AI is a bubble that will obliterate the American economy when it pops.
>>106488549As long as you understand what it is, and thereby its limitations, its ok. How many times do/did we see boilerplate mentioned on /g/. That's what's going to going away. Its like any other tool that amplifies human capability.Musing right now, think about all the languages and frameworks that get created to manage the boilerplate itself. Maybe with AI tooling that is seen to be unnecessary. Is this a bubble? Of course it is! So what? Just because the .com bubble popped doesn't mean the internet disappeared or that technical progress stopped. Modern hardware is immensely more powerful than in 2000 - and really that progress lead to this bubble being possible.

>>106486208>Have Europoors not come up with contingency plansThey have but never implemented them because every time EU tries to get little bit away from US, US then smacks them back into submission. Recently EU was talking about spending trillions building local military manufacturing, but then Trump got a deal where he forced EU to only buy US military equipment and also pay 4% worth of EU GDP for US LNG. Not a single European I know likes it, because instead of making our own equipment we will have to buy extremely overpriced junk from US that is 90% manufactured in China anyway, and then also risk US not following article 5. You can’t make contingency plan for US fucking up when they keep behaving like this and trying to put everyone else down. The only reason why China has yet not completely beaten US in AI is because US put the chip ban on China which only bought them less then a decade time before China invents their own NVIDIA chips.

>>106488654you should replace SDL_WINDOW_OPENGL with SDL_WINDOW_VULKAN to tell sdl that you wish to use vulkan and remove all the OpenGL related stuff(basically, anything with _GL* in the name)The rest, you can proceed normally as you would.
>>106488654>>106488689there are only a handful of Vulkan related calls https://wiki.libsdl.org/SDL3/CategoryVulkan and as per the docs,> Use SDL_Vulkan_GetInstanceExtensions() to get platform-specific bits for creating a VkInstance, then SDL_Vulkan_GetVkGetInstanceProcAddr() to get the appropriate function for querying Vulkan entry points. Then SDL_Vulkan_CreateSurface() will get you the final pieces you need to prepare for rendering into an SDL_Window with Vulkan.is all you gotta do.
>>106488654This is bait so when someone posts the 1000 line triangle example you can complain and say it's bloat. We are onto your tricks.
How do I create and manage these so called “handles” for bindless resources? I know people fancy unordered_map but all my stuff meshes, textures, materials are in vectors and needs to be in such container for Vulkan purposes (mainly textures). I import a gltf on startup but obviously deleting and changing things would break everything without some kind of handle system to properly guide resources to each other.
>>106488968>all my stuff meshes, textures, materials are in vectors and needs to be in such containerVulkan resource handles are mostly uint64_t values.Your graphics drivers implicitly creates and maintains the memory for your resource via a dispatch table that is present within a dispatchable handle. That is why we need to pass a dispatchable handle like VkInstance or VkDevice everytime we deal with their respective non-dispatchable handle for creation, destruction and all other operations. We do not have control over this memory. We only need to bother with how our application manages the raw bytes of texture images or buffer data. That's the only thing within our control.>deleting and changing things would break everything without some kind of handle systemjust rely on tress for it.N-ary tree are very easy to implement and use as a scene graph. You can just allocate and deallocate memory recursively for your resources in the scene graph when you add or remove a node.Don't think of it as an handle system. Its not good for performance. Our graphics drivers already maintain a dispatch table, it is not optimal but works well as a generalized solution and we do not have to resort to such means for our application as well.
