I haven't heard much about these but looking it up yeah it sounds like it's miniled but with coloured backlights. No idea if it's good or not.

By the way another different (and mostly unrelated) monitor type is microLED, not to be confused with any of the above if you see it. Microled is basically like an OLED (each individual pixel is its own LED and can be individually turned off) but using normal semiconductor LEDs rather than organic LEDs, thus eliminating OLED issues like burn-in and being the best of both worlds. This doesn't exist yet outside of niche applications because it's very hard to manufacture at typical monitor sizes; afaik they can make tiny microLEDs (I think some VR headsets are starting to use them) and giant ones, but nothing desktop monitor sized.
And of course it's unrelated to either miniLED nor "micro RGB", which are just backlight setups behind a normal LCD panel of your choice.

that's the only perk it has for gaming? doesn't it have specific optimization?
>>

AFAIK, no, it does not. I don't use Cachy, though, but Linux Mint. So other anons may know this better than me.
>>
>>107849942
"Better" depends on what you're looking for but the selling points of CachyOS are easier installation than base Arch and packages with optimizations for modern hardware that can give a modest performance increase.

>>107846937
akihabara has had tourist adjusted prices for ages. for gpus you're better off going more out of the way and then just hunting in a hard off or something. for vidya/anime goods just go to nakano. its fun for window shopping though and you can have the best kebab in tokyo (moses).

>>107846937
1. the prices of GPUs in Japan are already jacked up more than the already gigantic USDJPY exchange rate.
2. every store in akihabara is likely to be 10% more expensive on top of that just as a matter of course because they integrate that amount as savings for joining each respective "point club" (point cards are everything in japan)
3. access to more well-known brands is limited
4. I have no idea if American customs checks peoples' bags for GPUs but you may have to pay tariffs on it anyway. I know camerafags who've said they had to do this, apparently if you discard the box you're ok but glhf

It's unironically cheaper to import US parts and have them shipped than to buy locally in Japan sometimes

>I have an FB account of a deceased relative, I want it ERASED, not used as a "digital memento" for this fuckers to exploit. what should I do?
I have no idea if this still works. But 12+ years ago when I nuked my old account from the original migration from myspace I did the following:
>write small script to refresh my feed and auto-delete everything
>facebook will detect it and stop serving you content at some point
>let it run for 5+ days (longer if you actually used the service more than once a month like I did)
>stop for a few days
>check again, it'll start serving you old posts you made years ago that it was hiding
>let the script run again
>repeat this process until you're sure everything is gone
>request account closure/deletion
>do not log-in for 2 weeks
>ignore all emails they send attempting to trick you into logging in (it restarts the 2 week counter)
>request the CD/DVD of all your personal data they're supposed to send you by law (never got mine, still waiting over a decade later)
>deal with the fact that normalfags are going to be angry for the next 5 decades that you do not accept their friend requests or return messages

Normies in my country literally only use facebook/instagram, so if you want to socialize you are forced to use them. Yet fb/ig keeps banning me every time I try making a new acc because presumably I haven't deleted my old ones and they won't allow more than 1 acc, and I can't remember the password to them or their email acc. Just kill everyone working in Meta at this point. I fucking hate this world. My name is not important. What is important is what I'm going to do... I just fucking hate this world. And the human worms feasting on its carcass. My whole life is just cold, bitter hatred. And I always wanted to die violently. This is the time of vengeance and no life is worth saving. And I will put in the grave as many as I can. It's time for me to kill. And it's time for me to die. My genocide crusade begins here.

Considering the premise is ludicrous, you have two options. Either:
1. Nobody reasonable is actually expecting AGI from current-architecture LLMs. They mean something else but journalists are tech illiterate and don't care anyway, they want a catchy headline, so they'll distort everything just to get more clicks. Or,
2. The claim is hype blown out of proportion by constant repetition and modification on social media, like Chinese whispers but dumber. You've heard of it specifically because it makes people go "whaaaaaat???"
I suppose it could be a bit of a mix of the two as well.
