So true
>>
>>107819403
>She invented pseudocode. That is big enough to be worth putting her in history books.
But she is not credited for having invented pseudocode, which would be fine if true (I don't know if it is, it's the first time I'm hearing this.), she is falsely credited for having written the first program and that's a problem.
>>
>>107818905
Maybe you should tell us *how* you're trying to optimize for it, and how you measure it.
A whole bunch of retards out there only measure their own code performance, not the effect the code has on the rest of the system (because that would be hard).

Windows laptops will still be cheaper because enterprises buy in bulk.
>>
>>107819805
The only reason they buy microslop kit in bulk right now is because they're still quietly shitting out Surface Go tablets at rock bottom prices to compete against chromebooks. They look good enough but they're hilariously underspecced to do even the most basic stuff in Win11 (1.2ghz pentium gold and 4gb of ram ffs) and workforces are losing patience with them.
Apple already have the infrastructure in place to enter this market thanks to decades in education. And giving workers a shiny new company macbook, even if it's a macbook running an iphone chip, will go a long way to make the workforce feel valued. Even microslop employees prefer working on macbooks these days.

It'll probably run phone games decently but there isn't a convenient way to hold it for horizontal touch controls to work nicely and it isn't a 16:9 or wider aspect. But it's not meant for people who want to play phone games. It's for people who want to do texts, chats, emails, and presumably even some terminal use without the finickiness of a touch keyboard.

>leftist
I don’t think you know what that means
>cultural shift towards self-entitlement, cynicism, and relative morality
This I won’t dispute. Social media distorted a lot of people’s perspectives of what they should be doing in life and what they deserve, as well as the rise of the influencers. In general the US is less trusting than it was in the 1990s and a rapid decline of trust since then (Bowling Alone in America is a great book tracking this topic). Your relative morality issues mostly stem from the rise of MAGA ironically enough, which in turn built off of the Tea Party’s hot rhetoric centered around how correct their viewpoints were. The Obama years also saw the Democrats get a bit too smug and push their own moral relativism, but it was never truly weaponized so effectively until Trump got the MAGA train rolling. Hate or love him, the main has fully harnessed it and is leaving both Democrats and Republicans scrambling to replicate his success. The man changed the game in much the same way Cheney changed how to use executive orders and Reagan introduced the press secretary. That also means that Trump has expanded moral relativism as part of the playbook for future presidents in a very aggressive way, so take that how you will. Either way, the big man (for you) is paving some new roads.

I'm trying to make sense of my earlier drunk shitpost and your serious reply to it and I think what I meant by "upsampling to make it more smooth" is basically dithering in the video you linked.
>>
>>107818605
>mental illness or non-working software
>>
>>107818654
You need dithering when you decrease bit depth to preserve the audio content from the lost bits. Simply adding dithering to a file will just raise the noise floor. You will need dithering if you're converting from PCM to DSD but it won't make it smoother, it will make it the same as PCM. When audiophile say oversampling makes things smoother they usually mean it makes the digital "stairsteps" smaller. But there aren't any stairsteps. And regarding the original question of playing audio without a DAC, that's how original sound cards worked, the CPU was just toggling pins really fast. 1 pin on zx spectrum(basically DSD) and multiple pins on PCs with parallel port(R2R). There's also such a thing as powerdac, where the transistors of a DAC are powerful enough to drive things without an amp.

The problem with this shit has always been that they have minuscule budgets, they pay even more minuscule wages to artists and animators and shit ends up looking like this in the end, plus, these people most of the time blow their budgets in the first 3 or 4 episodes and they have to scramble to produce the rest of the show.
I remember Yuri on ice producer or director coming to say that they blew their budget in the first episodes so the animation was shit on the latter ones.

Fake and gay. Nips were doing shit like this with less than 1 million in the 90s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxzK4uYCUJw

Today you have random isekeai with 2-10 million budget plus all the technology gains we had in like three decades and still looks shit. Things degenerate with time if there aren't talented people around to keep the bar high. Nigga, attack on titan had like 30 million dollars in budget and it still looked terrible. The problem isn't "minuscule budget" but lack of talent. Artists are horrible nowadays and that's why they're being replaced with "souless" AI slop. Better have AI slop that at least has some care rather than "hand crafted" crap like >>107819128

state cuck here also

I've had trivial computer parts die like hard drives or laptop LCD screens, and I'd swap it from a donor disposed machine just to keep it working. When I told my coworkers this, their response was almost like I had told them that I skin cats alive in my free time. Apparently the expectation is that we call Dell support and have an on-site tech do it. If it's not under warranty, just trash it.

But also I have no control over ordering, so HQ will send me like 30 new monitors to replace those that are out of warranty but completely FINE, when my district has 5-year-old computers that I have to keep upgrading with donor SSDs because whatever retard ordered them had spec'd them with HDDs.

IT head guy may have made a good call. When dealing with execs it's often about knowing the person you're dealing with and catering to their expectations rather than optimizing your staff's time. For one, maybe he knew that this was the sort of person who would just get mad if you asked him to check the network connection and just scream "I don't know, you're IT, that's your job, just fix it!" Or it could've been the sort of exec who has some say over IT's budget and hiring so you want to give him the best experience possible.
