The premise is simple:

Could the DPRK launch a offensive war with the goal of seizing Russia's Pacific holdings and win?

>Can russia defeat the DPRK in a conventional war in the far East
No.
>elaborate
Objective reality after is all the elaboration needed.
>would russia nook
No. Moscow only cares about Moscow. Even pidorsburg would be an acceptable sacrifice as long as Moscow stands.
>could China defeat the DPRK in a conventional war
I believe they could. It would be expensive and bloody for them, but I believe they would be able to acheive air supremacy early on and the side with air supremacy wins the military aspect of any war.
>would Kim nook
Probably as soon as it became apparent the Chinese actually intended to invade.
>>
>>64751947
Best take so far, my only objections are:

>I believe they could. It would be expensive and bloody for them, but I believe they would be able to acheive air supremacy early on and the side with air supremacy wins the military aspect of any war.

1: If the DPRK was ready and dug in the PRC going across the Yalu would get slaughtered. The PRC could do it and get across, it would still be a bloodbath. Every inch of advance on DPRK soil would be a horror show.
2: If they were losing the DPRK really would use tactical nukes while threatening escalation against population centers to get away with it.
3: Pyongyang is effectively immune to assault/siege unless you really, really, really want to die.
4:The Norks would hold out until they became the good guys
5: The USA West would support them
6:!!!?!??!?
7: Victory!
>>
Russia would draft around 300,000 males from those parts and it'd be over. 200,000 to hold the line until the others are trained in drone warfare, There's no way the Norks can do anything after that.
Do the Norks even have anything like MANPADs and other semi-competent AA systems?

>>
>>64751542
Well, yes. it's really one of the better known improvised weapons, the right type of fire extinguisher has the valves and plumbing you need, you just have to figure out the refueling.

It's like a better concealable variant of 'big slingshot/small catapult plus molotov cocktails'. You bet your ass we will see that next, to burn down police strations, Basij militia HQs etc.
>>
We don't hear about police/army/any services siding with protestors = likely no split in the elites.
No split in the elites = no revolution.
Sad but true. The only good thing about this is Iran becoming ever weaker, and the spooky Russia-Iran-China never materialising.

>>64747993
Best Korea still going strong.
>>
>>64751676
Army is buckbroken due to years of IRGC buttfucking them, but there were multiple reports of IRGC (and possibly basij) commanders getting surprise visits at home.
It's one of the well-established facts that a secret police only works as long as people cower in fear. When the commanders are being lynched while police are magdumping into crowds of thousands, that fear is obviously not working.

Which may result in fragmentation instead of (counter) revolution, but who knows.

1: The power of making shit up. Nazi German military reporting was notoriously politicized (like modern and Soviet era Russia). Luftwaffe and Heer/SS officers would blatantly lie on their reports hoping that it would make them look better to their superiors.
2: Germany didn't rotate their experienced pilots back to training positions, like the Americans and Brits did. They kept their pilots in the air until they died - which did mean they could score more kills (not nearly as many as your pic claims though) but made their air force retardedly brittle. The Luftwaffe was undoubtedly the premier air force on the world at the start of the war, just in terms of pilot skill due to having veterans from the Spanish Civil War. They were all wiped out, and hadn't been able to pass on their skills to the next generation of pilots due to this one retarded policy.

its interesting how everyone the russians fought during ww2 have later discovered to make up their stats for propaganda. only the russians know the truth whether running human waves into the germans was actually "deep battle" or if saccing 500 conscripts to a single farmer manlet was "infiltration tactics". even if the other allied forces later noted that the germans were indeed diffing them pretty bad on the western front. one can only imagine the truth of what it was like on the eastern front

This is for OP

I like the film jojo rabbit a lot there are not very many good new movies but that is one, you'll probably hate me for that, I was a combatant very young I was 16 and lied about my age and was very keen to be a hero. It was not good, I'm in my 50s now and have some perspective on that and no PTSD or any of that, war saddens me especially the waste of it. The reason that jojo rabbit struck me as good is I once saw three women who were hung from a steel tow cable across a street, for intermarriage with the enemy. I did not see them being killed, there we there when we were got there.

Just dangeling there and there was this kid who kept running out from an alley and looking up and holding it's arms up about I dunno 7 or 8 and then dashing back over to the ally.

Someone from the other end of the street shot the kid. And I know the people I'm saying this too and the tirade of shit I will get for simply telling you that yeah, jojo rabbit is a good movie. At least I thought so and I have more right to say that than all of you piss ants combined because I know there was some truth buried in it and you don't

You know what I think of fanboys for shit like the nazis and commies? I think you go to hell.

No I'm not a jew but I have seen what happens when people start turning on the other and mudering each other.

Your heroes are scum. I had the experince of meeting several former waffen SS as a youth as well. They were revolting, after a few drinks thinking I was one of them delighting in telling me about atrocities they had witnessed. One told me that in repisals they had taken the women out of a village and made them run races and shot the loosers and then held a few to watch as they threw their infants under tank tracks and then left them in the mud mind broken and he was laughing in glee at it,

that's interesting
i've read about mixing coal ash particles into concrete, and that's supposed to make it stronger at the cost of curing slower
could you make the giga-nigga concrete mix also cure slower, without making it shitty? if it could be done, waiting an extra 30 days for it to harden seems worth it when you're building something that'll last a thousand years
>>
>>64751632
>i've read about mixing coal ash particles into concrete, and that's supposed to make it stronger at the cost of curing slower

It's not coal ash, it's "fly ash", glass dust made of spherical 10-50 micron particles, chemically consisting mostly of SiO2 and Al2O3 molecules. A byproduct of coal burning on coal powerplants with exhaust filters.

>could you make the giga-nigga concrete mix also cure slower, without making it shitty?

I don't know. There are many concrete retarders, I haven't tested any myself.

Did you know the US invaded the Dominican Republic in 1965 with around 22,500 troops, 100 M48 Pattons, over 1000 combat air sorties. There was heavy fighting where around 60 Marines and 82nd Airborne troops died with 400 wounded.

>>
>>64751880
You can't blow up a revolver, unless you are really retarded, worst case scenario in fucked up reloading is having an under powered round stuck in the barrel and shooting it

Why wouldn't something like pic related work fine as a "do everything" gun for a person living in the densely forested hills of Appalachia, where the power and ballistic advantage of a rifle simply isn't necessary?
>plinking will be good fun with the naturally subsonic .45
>definitely suitable for home defense
>easy enough to fit in a backpack, or take the can off and carry it on your person
>get some .45 Super for killing deer or hogs, or mess around with round ball loadings for taking small game or for pest control
Yes, it's true that rifles can be had for dirt cheap these days. And it's also true that there is no real reason to limit yourself to just one gun, especially a handgun. But in an autistic min-max fantasy where you literally can only own one gun and it has to be able to be carried 24/7/365, does a suppressed .45 automatic make sense? The only real downside I see here is that this is not the best option for summertime concealed carry in hot climates.

The answer is the FN Five-seveN. I basically use it for exactly what you describe.

>Subsonic rounds
22lr sub equivalent with the benefit of being cf.
>Supersonic rounds
22wmr (rifle barrel) equivalent good for whitetail on down.

It's honestly the perfect gun and I wouldn't really need to own anything else except where state laws steps in and requires certain bore diameter for the type of game in question.

I chose it over 9mm because a woods gun needs to be lightweight, it's quieter than anything else out there in cf except a 4.6, penetrates better than basically all commercial pistol rounds aside from meme shit. It's basically the perfect gun tbqhwy.

No it doesn't.
It hinges on the fact we've been asleep while our little brother was at the wheel.
It was fine back then because said brother might have been immature but he was increadibly skilled, wouldn't fall asleep and could stay focus on the road while having the collective prosperity of us both.
Now, not so much.
Maybe we'll stay friendly with the USA and next POTUS will be great for EU-USA relationship.
But whose to say the americans won't elected another retard in the near future ?
So lesson is learned : if we want to keep our agency when our interests are starting to become opposed to those of the USA, we better start working for it.
