Kosovo will start producing military vehicles for the first time. In cooperation with Albania, the armored vehicles "Shota" currently produced there, will now also be produced in Kosovo, the Defense Ministry confirmed.

I’ve had both and the P32 is the far, far better carry gun. Tomcats are fat and heavy. If it’s just a range toy or to be cool, the Tomcat wins. If you want a gun with the tip up barrel, get the Bobcat.

Word on the street is that the US bagged another 2 shadow fleet tankers today. With one of the tankers being captured using these little guys. Have we begun breaching into the Tom Clancy timeline, or have we always been in the timeline without us knowing?

Also, a general thread on these little guys and what can be done to improve on their airframes and tactical usage.

On the political influence route, it's kind of funny seeing some of the countries where clearly the Russians never found the same level of footing, or made no effort to maintain it over the years. Like in Australia and the UK it's been completely bipartisan to support Ukraine because of course it is, and I think it's about the only thing that people would give the current UK PM credit for not fucking up on either end of politics.

Considering now tankers have become a valid target for boarding and maybe sinking.
Do you have under war laws to mark it if you put missiles on it or can you just hide it until the enemy is in range if they try something?

>>64746745
If the weapons were openly displayed, sure, it's legal. It does however have serious ramifications regarding docking and transit rights. Turkey for instance would be able to take the stance that armed merchant vessels cannot transit the Bosporous and if one tried to force passage could sink it without ramifications. It would also cause any insurer to charge exorbitant rates (if one could be found), assuming any of these vessels are even carrying insurance. People have been openly arming merchantmen since the dawn of seafaring. It's doing it secretly that's considered illegal under Maritime law because that's shit that pirates do.
>>
>>64746745
Yes it is legal. But it must be in the open, not hidden, and your ship follow the laws of the sea. If they're hidden, or you are doing hinky shit like running under a false flag then you can be sunk on sight by literally any other ship that wants a piece of you. Or captured, and the ship, its cargo, and its crew sold off as legal booty.
>>
>>64746868
>rules doesn't matter as-is
This isn't true. What's happening is the US and GB are deciding to actually enforce the laws of the sea instead of letting most violations just slide.
>>
>>64746671
>>64746745
>>64746878
Right now the US is interdicting smugglers. Usual procedure is
>heave-to, prepare to be boarded
>time to check your cargo and source/destination
>oh hey, you're smuggling
>AND under a false flag, you say
>Time to arrest some people, impound the ship, and tow/escort it to a port
or
>your documents are in order, you're free to go
Unless there's very good cause, sinking an unarmed smuggler is still murder. A smuggler concealing weapons on the ship with the intent of shooting their way out of commerce/blockade stops along with false-flagging makes it go from smuggling to presumptive piracy. Either way, if smuggler shoots at vessels inspecting them they're fair game for anyone with a gun who cares to engage from that moment on. The ship's going on a "fuck these guys in particular" list that quite a lot of people have a very keen interest in cutting down to zero entries.

>laws of war
Yeah, if the opponent is following them. You do have to openly display the weapons. Unrestricted sub warfare and commerce raiding was a big deal. No-one wants to go back to that if we don't have to. The Russians have spent several years playing fuck-fuck games and relying on the usual "no-one can really be arsed if the ship isn't headed to their own country" situation, and managed to drag other nations back into doing regular commerce patrols because of it.

Why wouldn't something like pic related work fine as a "do everything" gun for a person living in the densely forested hills of Appalachia, where the power and ballistic advantage of a rifle simply isn't necessary?
>plinking will be good fun with the naturally subsonic .45
>definitely suitable for home defense
>easy enough to fit in a backpack, or take the can off and carry it on your person
>get some .45 Super for killing deer or hogs, or mess around with round ball loadings for taking small game or for pest control
Yes, it's true that rifles can be had for dirt cheap these days. And it's also true that there is no real reason to limit yourself to just one gun, especially a handgun. But in an autistic min-max fantasy where you literally can only own one gun and it has to be able to be carried 24/7/365, does a suppressed .45 automatic make sense? The only real downside I see here is that this is not the best option for summertime concealed carry in hot climates.

Everything else you can load 44 hotter because the cylinder walls are thicker e.g. SAAs and N frames. 41 Magnum still holds its own for this reason. You can load higher pressures in a model 57 than in a model 29 so you can match the energy with a smaller cartridge with higher sectional density.

Improvised explosives for use in asymmetric guerrilla warfare against a vastly superior force.... are they based or cringe? Effective or not?
