Does he deserve his shit reputation for the Battles of the Isonzo? After all what else could he realistically have done? He had a very narrow mountainous front with no room for any sweeping manoeuvres or flanking. And he won most of the battles.

they had repeating firearms in the 1700s but soldiers still went with muzzeloaders until the 1860s. just because it exists doesn't mean it's practical to field in an infantry level. rifles high-pressure cartridges and optics will ballistic calculators built-in are as good we're gonna get until the 2050s almost. There's just no point to being anywhere on the internet anymore. Are the marines losing their magic? Seems less and less appealing to join the marines compared to every other branch nowadays. Was it ever good?
you only join the marines during a long drawn out conventional war. particularly in vietnam, it was either deal with draftees or join the marines. i dunno how hard it was to join the air force but something tells me, very hard.i recall in afghanistan marines were constantly hitting IEDs on convoys because their retarded SOPs told them to drive as fast as possible to lower your chances of hitting them.
>>64747602>i dunno how hard it was to join the air force but something tells me, very hardOnly if you're borderline retarded.
>>64747552As tech is dominating the battlefield the navy and army are basically doing the job of the marines now. Even the air force is doing their job too

Enough glazing over the pizza, it's time to try this bad boy out!
It was pretty damn good I must say, the ricotta in particular has this creaminess that really adds to the flavor, I'm glad I decided to try this instead of the regular ole' pepperoni!
Hope you guys like it
And of course to wash it all down, my personal favorite, a good ole' can of carbonated sugar water (piss-colored version).

Is it normal for a bit of lead to shave off when pressing the bullets in?Also I accidentally seated one bullet about 3mm too deep but these are mostly empty powderpuff 44 loads so that’s not dangerous, right?
>>64747258Nice bulldog, anon
>>64747292It’s wierd as hell knowing the case is mostly empty and everything is flopping around Is the set back bullet going to be dangerous?I have no bullet puller and my multi tool can’t pull it back >>64747313Ty frien
Im having similar issues with 45 acp, gallant bullets. Theyre polymer coated, for whatever reason, and with a bit wider and a bit deeper they wont go into battery in my 1911A1.Reloads with FMJ to factory spec are fine, so are factory loads. I suspect its that tiny bit of polymer sticking to the case after pressing/crimping them into place
>>64747489Well you should certainly get a puller, but the half empty case isn't dangerous or anything, you just won't get consistency. Load density is important, but I suspect it's less an issue in this case
>>64747569Did you check the diameter of the bullets? It could be the ogive is fatter enough that the bullet is hitting the rifling. Dropping the bullet into the chamber, measuring from the back of the bullet to the back of the barrel hood, then adding that distance to the length of the bullet and subtracting 10 thousandths or so would be a good place to start for oal

>>64727248>1300's-1400'sIt would be a YUGE factor. In our timeline, gunpowder was discovered by alchemists searching for an elixir of eternal life. In this timeline, gunpowder is invented specifically to kill dragons. Black Powder would be a game-changer and Smokeless Powder can be made as early as the 1500's if there is enough incentive and people working to discover it. The various ingredients to make gunpowder were known to Classical civilizations, it's just no one had the depth of knowledge or incentive to create it. Dragons change that. I'd wager we'd have gunpowder weapons sooner than in our current timeline. Armies would be smaller in number, lighter, and more elite units, as soldiers would have to be VERY well-drilled to handle dragon attacks.>Missile infantryUsed to distract or possibly even get a lucky kill and to harass/suppress enemy infantry>Pikemen/SpearmenUsed to protect Combat Engineers and a last ditch anti-dragon formation. The sarissa is the primary anti-dragon infantry weapon.>Combat EngineerA cross between Missile and Skirmisher infantry; well trained at crewing animal-drawn weapons like Catapults, Ballista, Trebuchet, and other artillery weapons. Later, they get cannons. Able to also engage in siege works, build camps, and even conduct engineering operations for the marching army.Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>64747255>tercios specializing in anti-dragon operationsI like it.>>64746238>Dragons are bullshitNah, dragons are cool because they cause so much seething.
>>64747377It gets wilder. >EducationYou can't afford to have an uneducated populace, as you need a sizeable portion of your population to be smart enough to increase the pool of recruits for your engineering corps. Knowledge would be a powerful tool for building dragon-proof fortresses, anti-dragon armor/weapons, mechanics for engineering, alchemy; the list goes on. Literacy would be higher overall, in this timeline, because it would be necessary for survival. In the event that a dragon torches your city, you'd need everyone to be smart enough to help rebuild, or at least capable of following written instructions and institutional knowledge. Libraries would be even more valuable than they were in the ancient past, with a book on geometry or construction being worth its weight in gold.Dragons would be an evolutionary pressure for mankind, as we would no longer be apex predators but one rung down on the food chain. It's only due to dragons not seeing most humans as a territorial threat but simply another edible thing in their world, that we are able to co-exist with them at all. >LegitimacyA ruler without the ability to control dragons is at best, just a warlord. If a dragon begins causing trouble, they're fucked. A dragon-blood king on the other hand could simply walk up and tame the beast. A practical version of "divine right". >Religion and GovernmentDragons form a universal yin/yang concept across mankind. Able to wreak havoc or create a time of plenty. With a dragon, you can institute whatever kind of government/social structure you want. With a large royal family of dragon riders, you can conquer nations. Dragon Feudalism would be the standard government structure, with Monarchies, Republics, Tyrannies, Patron-Alliances, and Free-Holds/Cities, and Marches everywhere. Comment too long. >>64747465The Thirty Years War but without any firearm, just knights and man-at-arms fighting each other. In essence, everything I hate about fantasy and the reason why I can't get hook by it. >>64746580>the first firearms made said armour obsoleteAnon, the first firearms did not make armor obsolete. Plate armor died in the 18th century; firearms started around the 10th-13th century as shitty fire lances became small cannons carried by hand (which then evolved to handgonnes and then arquebuses and so on).
>>64746615Bullet proofed plate was even heavier than the usual sort, generally only stopped bullets to the torso, and even still mostly from smaller firearms at the time. The full-sized handhelds usually could go through at anything but longer distances.
>>64747484off the top of my head they helped kick the Ottomans out of Italy preventing Rome from falling like Constantinople did, they were involved in a bunch of central European campaigns in Hungary and Bohemia >>64746214>It doesn't matter that they weren't widespread in one regionwhat does matter is that Han Chinese crossbows predated a shit ton of advancements in material science and design thus typically they had half the draw weight of a Medieval version if not less, they really wouldn't have much impact on late Medieval plate armor.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1b52tVlHc84Is that a fucking pistol real sight in the red dot cut out? Is PSA inventing a shotgun that can't be used as a shotgun because it has pistol sights for some reason? the receiver is objectively the worst place to mount a red dot on a shotgun. the best option would be if you could get it low profile on the barrel or as a qd on a side rail like an AK, though the barrel, especially if you can get the bottom of the red dot below the receiver would be great because then you could have a red dot mounted for HD or turkey or if you're in one of the like 3 states that still require slug guns for durr and then you can take off the barrel, the red dot remains zeroed and you can put on a different barrel for birds or clays I really don't understand this psa 570 thing. it looks like they just designed a gun to compete with turkshit and the mav 88 to be a ghetto blaster for blowing up trash on blm land
it looks like shit
