Are the marines losing their magic? Seems less and less appealing to join the marines compared to every other branch nowadays. Was it ever good?

The Marines are rhe retard branch. Not sure what it is about them that draws the most retards, lower pay or worse conditions, whatever it may be but if you have 3 IQ points higher you go Army which is still a retarded life decision. I don't think any of the allure is left to join the military because it's basically just a bunch of Mexicans and dumb kids that flunked highschool who couldn't get hired at Walmart.
>>
>>64747552
Depends. If you actually want to do field stuff, they're more likely to get deployed in the near future than the army.
>>
No war, military is a jobs program in peacetime. Army and Navy let you choose whatever you want if you score for it and have faster advancement and better schools. Air Force treats you much better if you don't mind not picking your fate. Marines are stuck with slow advancement and being given fuckall to do or put on their resume
>>
i think before the 90s and 2000s, most people didn't know shit about the 75th/seals/SF/etc so they just figured marines were the hardest of them all.

in reality they're just another branch.

What are the best filaments you guys are using for frames and gun parts? Is it still PLA + or are the different carbon/glass infused filaments better?

I've downloaded and analyzed a lot of RONI/BWC and other pistol PDW concepts. I have a dot on my pistol and want to use that sight, which means an open-topped design.

I can’t believe it took a 30 minute video to say what we already knew, which is that 10mm Auto is the superior automatic handgun cartridge, and that only after having to water it and then .40 S&W down for the women, manlets, and fags in the FBI did they just settle on 9mm because there was no difference at that point. Amazing.
>But muh fire rate!
Literally doesn’t matter in a combat scenario, doubly so if your shots don’t actually land. Paul Harrell already established this in his 1986 Miami Dade shootout analysis.

Lift weights and carry 10mm, anons.

Denmark has a highly Elite unit called the Sirius Dog Sled Patrol that could be called on to help defend Greenland. This is a highly trained elite unit armed with weather tested and artic proof bolt action rifles and sidearms. They carry 2 different types of ammo.

How would the Sirius Dog Sled Patrol fare against U.S. of United States Special Forces if they invaded Greenland?

Is that a fucking pistol real sight in the red dot cut out? Is PSA inventing a shotgun that can't be used as a shotgun because it has pistol sights for some reason?
the receiver is objectively the worst place to mount a red dot on a shotgun. the best option would be if you could get it low profile on the barrel or as a qd on a side rail like an AK, though the barrel, especially if you can get the bottom of the red dot below the receiver would be great because then you could have a red dot mounted for HD or turkey or if you're in one of the like 3 states that still require slug guns for durr and then you can take off the barrel, the red dot remains zeroed and you can put on a different barrel for birds or clays
I really don't understand this psa 570 thing. it looks like they just designed a gun to compete with turkshit and the mav 88 to be a ghetto blaster for blowing up trash on blm land

>Tanegashima use cheek for contact and not shoulder because of that exact issue.
wrong on several counts. for 1, helmets were not the issue that necessitated a cheek weld nor is a cuirass, its largely the massive pauldrons (which modern armor does not have) that get in the way of a traditional stock.
More relevant though is 2, Japanese muskets simply had not progressed at all from the original Portuguese designs they were copying, as such they were stuck with an obsolete design. At the time that was the only way the japs knew to sight a rifle, basically by holding it right under your eye. and for 3, "cheek" arquebus /muskets were essentially a civilian hunting design by the 17th century, only suitable for lightweight and light recoiling guns. A western musket intended for battlefield combat are much heavier (both in general weight and in caliber). You simply cannot adequately shoot a full power war musket with a cheek weld. it'd be like taking the stock off an M14 and trying to hold it to your cheek.
For 4 what the fuck are you talking about magnets for. Modern armor isn't magnetic and I doubt super duper space armor in the future would be either. If you did have excessively bulky armor (say like the OG interceptor body armor) that did actually cover your shoulder pocket, then you can simply add an angled buttstock w/ a rubber pad to your gun.
>>
>>64745623
>civilian hunting design by the 17th century, only suitable for lightweight and light recoiling guns
Just a heads up, Japan basically didn't fight anybody for the 1600s and 1700s. Firearm development was basically banned.

Because you need to feed 1 million Russians. Don't feel your peeps and they die or desert. Sure, some will die in combat but if you lose most of your army before you need to feed them you're losing that war.

They used XBOX controllers for drones before.

How the fuck do you even make mechs make tactical sense?

They present a high as fuck target, have these thin chicken legs with a million moving parts, exert ludicrous ground pressure. They cost probably as much as a nuclear submarine, are limited by line of sight, would be fucked up by a tank, couldn't touch a modern jet that could kill it from 30000 feet high and 10 miles away etc.

Like how the hell do you bend the rules of your universe to make these

I wouldn't be sperging out about this if Battletech was lemonade sci-fi running on the rule of cool and the power of friendship, but its intended audience was milsim autists who willingly bought hundred-page pretend technical manuals for these pieces of garbage.

pssh, what kind of power gamer brings the ammo made in-universe to fight against the proper units?
>and no-one hardly ever does
Yeah cause no one hardly ever brings the vehicles they're made to destroy lol

Besides, these are all things they're specifically informing players about with regards to their options now. Bringing nothing but hornets to pick on unsuspecting players is just bad sportsmanship, bad for the game, and they're fixing it so now even little billy will be clearly informed by the devs he can just bring a rifleman and sweep.

If only it stops at that. My workplace hires college aged kids to work on the sales floor because they are supposedly more approachable and likely to have basic computer skills for things like looking up items and building orders at their work stations, basic ass putting-the-square-peg-in-the-square-hole type of tasks. The quality of these people we go through is plummeting over the years even after filtering a hundred applicants every time.

In the US that would be good advice since 16ga is uncommon here. But if anon is French, that's a whole different ballgame. 16ga is common in France.

I have no idea what a fair price would be in France. In the US it wouldn't be worth much because it's not in collector condition and its in an unpopular gauge.
>>
>>64748510
That gun is nowhere near collector desirable condition.
>>
>>64748517
Based on the photos, it would rate as a very strong NRA "Fine", arguably "Excellent" based on the pristine wood and the high degree of original finish. I would have to see it in person to grade it accurately. Most collectors would be pleased to have this weapon, especially as it is a less common 16ga. The main detractor is the large bark on the side of the frame, but otherwise this is a very nice weapon.
>>
>>64748551
pump handle looks refinished, screw slots look bubbaed, the wrist is almost certainly broken which is why it's been wrapped with string. It's not junk, I bet it's a fine shooter, but it's not some high grade piece that collectors would drool over.
>>
>>64748575
