Sp101 or gp100 for my first wheel gun? I'd like to be able to just pocket carry which is why was leaning toward the sp101 but the big fuck off look of a gp 100 is pretty tempting.
>>
>>64747234
The SP is just a little too big for pocket carry for most, I'd prioritize a LCR or 442 in that case. For high round counts at the range and OWB in the field, you can't beat the GP

Nah, I pocket carry my DAO SP101. It's in my pocket right now. Just get a decent pocket holster and you're good. I like my Alabama Holster Ambi Pocket. SP101 is a great do it all revolver. Small enough to easily conceal and heavy enough to enjoy shooting at the range. That being said, GP100 is a really nice range gun. I wouldn't bother even trying to conceal carry it though.

Anyone have experience with Polish Night vision optic? It seems, finding a 1NP34/1PN58 is rare and expensive, polish one have somewhat okay prices.
>>

I had a 1PN58 before they got real expensive. It worked well enough for gen 1 nv but the reticle led was burnt out and getting a replacement is basically impossible.
>>
>>64746267
The brace is decent, feels solid, bit of a pain to attach imo and very difficult to fold but comes with a QD mount which is nice. I actually have the other 1913 standard triangle brace on my M85 and prefer that(although it is harder to mount a sling to it)
If you like the aesthetic of the brace go for it

Shit my bad, thought that said 22 minute 2 mile.
Go for it. Test your 5mi time and aim for 37:30 or below like I said, and look to be able to max or nearly max (>95pts) all AFT events (especially deadlift, it's kinda the "thing" to be good at for Rangers). At RASP you will be smoked when doing most of the gated events, so you want to comfortably exceed the standards before attending to ensure you can pass it all. Ex. be able to do a 12 miler in ~2:30 with 50-60lbs and you should comfortably pass even after getting smoked at Cole Range beforehand.
That said, keep in mind that you will have all of OSUT plus however long you spend in pre RASP before you actually do any of this. Your cardio will likely improve in OSUT because you'll be forced to run a lot more.

The easily accessible spots end at about your 10 and 2 o'clock. I keep tourniquets, a radio, and frag pouches up there. Anything big under your armpits is doable but not comfortable to wear and very annoying to access. Especially with side plates. I try to keep that clear if at all possible. Anything at the very back is nearly impossible to access but mostly out of the way. I keep my primary IFAK on the back left but that's a welfare queen SOP thing.

I can’t believe it took a 30 minute video to say what we already knew, which is that 10mm Auto is the superior automatic handgun cartridge, and that only after having to water it and then .40 S&W down for the women, manlets, and fags in the FBI did they just settle on 9mm because there was no difference at that point. Amazing.
>But muh fire rate!
Literally doesn’t matter in a combat scenario, doubly so if your shots don’t actually land. Paul Harrell already established this in his 1986 Miami Dade shootout analysis.

Lift weights and carry 10mm, anons.

The only drones that can do that are large multi-million dollar attack craft that at best can achieve parity with ill-maintained Russian gunships. Pound per pound, drones are absolute shit at Air-to-Air, and the vast majority of attempts to shoot down helos with them, even in Ukraine ended up with the chopper on top.

What tools for self defense would you recommend for someone in Europe to have when shit goes down. There are black powder revolvers shotguns and rifles, but you can't buy them everywhere in Europe. There are crossbows and bows but what is really their capacity to defend, and of course air rifles, in some countries they are unrestricted in some countries they are cucked and they are a hassle to have around in the case of an emergency. Better yet what should everybody own, not just weapons, in case they want to survive more than 72 hours.

>tools for self defense
If you don't care about the law or expect society to collapse in one way or another, see if you can get a blank gun and these gas blanks used for "animal defense". Pair it with a Gasmask and you can effectively turn a few rooms into lethal gas chambers, though I'd advice you not to do it at home
>that's retarded, there's better options, etc
yes to all but its fairly easy and cheap in my country and its always nice to have more options, you never know when you might need to gas a few people
t. kraut
>Better yet what should everybody own, not just weapons, in case they want to survive more than 72 hours.
Food, some MREs are good for that especially if you plan on running away, Water and purification (2 methods at least, Boiling isn't enough), a map of your local and not so local area incase you need to walk to the nearest city/evac point but aren't too sure on how to get there or don't want to take the roads, a knife (not necessarily for fighting, it can be a good tool for many things), adequate clothing (keep rainclothes and winter clothing IF you need them)
Gas mask if you're worried about that stuff
Keep your ID with you! It's more than likely that you'll meet some government troops and it helps if you can show them that you are you.
Lighter(s) and Cigarettes are useful for bartering
First Aid Kit(s)
Antibiotics too but those are long term

I really don't understand this because that amount of ammunition in OP is never going to be enough.

You'd need so much for it to be a pragmatic amount in an apocalyptic scenario that you should really probably just commit to a single kind of ammunition and tailor your guns around that round instead of trying to just get some ammo for a bunch of different calibers.

I break my preps into categories

>Water.
Water is life. Store as much as you have the space for. FEMA guidelines are 1 gallon of water per person per day. I've got a couple of hundred gallons stored inside the house and up to another 1000 in a tank outside depending on recent weather. Even in an apartment you should be able to find space for two weeks of water.
Alongside your stored water have a means of purifying more. Boiling is an option but slow and energy dependent. Unscented bleach is an effective treatment option against bacteria and viruses but has a shelf-life of 6-12 months, powdered calcium hypochlorite (pool shock) is equally effective and lasts for a couple of years depending on how it's stored (both are ineffective against cryptosporidium). Water purification chemicals for camping (aquamira, micropur, iodine) have a longer shelf-life and depending on the chemical may work on crypto but are more expensive. Camping store water filters (e.g. Sawyer Squeeze) are convenient but most won't do anything against viruses. UV purification using either a Steripen or the SODIS method (pic rel) are arguably the best options.
>Food
If you can just buy in bulk what you normally eat day to day then that's the cheapest and most convenient option, but it's dependent on you eating a lot of shelf-stable foods like rice, pasta, oats, etc. If not, then you'll have to buy a few long-lasting foods to keep in the back of your pantry. MREs and dehydrated camping meals are great if you're going to be on the move but unnecessarily expensive if sheltering in place.
>Shelter
How do you plan to heat or light your home?
>Security
Guns obviously but also shit like reinforcing exterior doors or security film over the windows

Bulky, noisy, creates too much CO2 for door kicking, runs hot enough to be an ATGM magnet, engine case weighs a fuckton.
>AA/CIWS is the best possible use for lasers so I don't see the problem.
Time to kill is an issue.
>MARAUDER definitely had a longer range than 20 feet.
Pretty sure MARAUDER got scrapped. It's been radio silent for 30 years.
>All it needs to do is carry equipment.
So...a car?

It's more that the ideas always seem 5 years away. Proponents say the tech is just over the horizon but they've been saying that for decades and the tech still isn't here. The first powered exoskeleton, the Hardiman I, came out in the 50s and We STILL don't have a production model.

Quit playing dumb. If "radio silence" meant that something wasn't seeing any development, then most of our modern military tech wouldn't exist at all.

The real giga brain takeaway from Mr Testosterone's handheld eyeball obliterator is that you could
>Take hilariously powerful laser
>Mount on 3d printer chassis
>Hook up to non-battery power source
>Get software to have printer act as cutter instead
>Congrats, you now have a $15,000 laser cutter for a few hundred/thousand bucks or however much that thing cost to make
Not to mention other esoteric uses like making rubies, cutting otherwise impractical to cut things like titanium or even tungsten, etc. there is a lot more interesting things that a laser of that power you can just build yourself can do than "muh laser gun".
[spoiler]
That said... I wonder if he could make a lightning gun using it. Take very powerful laser, point at target, have a huge capacitor bank discharge into laser, all that juice will follow path of least resistance- which just so happens to be the laser beam, so the target gets slugged by a fuckload of electrical impulse all at once[/spoilers don't work on /k/]
>>
>>64747300
>That said... I wonder if he could make a lightning gun using it.
I've been waiting several years for him to do that. His enormous bank of car batteries was a pretty decent approximation of the shiva star.
