Papa John's has better dough hands down.
Domino's dough is puffy trash. It works better stretched thin Brooklyn style but still not as chewy and flavorful as Papa John's.
There's usually a local house of pizza or gas station nearby that makes better pizza than either of these chains.

That was the most fun I had in any of the Red Orchestra/Rising Storm games. I thought it was the perfect balance of more realistic damage/gun mechanics and unserious fun, and I had more solid team play moments with the Green Army Men mod than I ever did in the base game.

I don't know what the US did and I don't give a damn, we should have carpet-bombed Mali just like we should have done to subdue Algeria just like we should have done 30 years ago to colonize China, now our morale has killed us and we're going to become a Third World country, it's not a question of strength, we had it and still have it to some extent throughout the West, if we had continued to be as violent as in the 19th century the whole world would be colonized by the West today

Well I'm sorry for completely misreading you.
If you can, track down (or find a scanned copy online) the two volume set Mabinogion by T.P. Ellis and John Lloyd. It is sometimes called "The Mabinogion: a New Translation"
It is by far my favorite translation, mostly for the constant footnotes that accompany the text which provide perspective you will get literally nowhere else. My prized copy is safely in storage somewhere among my packed books, unfortunately for this conversation.
In any event, an understanding of the Arthurian Legends must always include the following:

First and foremost, The Mabinogion + The three Welsh romances (even though the "welsh romances" are significant in their norman influence they're packaged together with the Mabinogion and the differences between them and the "pure" norman stories are notable. Ellis and Lloyd offer commentary on these in their second volume as I recall.)

Secondly, while the connection is less clear at first, The Four Cycles of Irish Myth (Starting with the Lebor Gabala Erenn, the "Book of Invasions"). I'm afraid I'm a little out of touch and can't suggest a specific translation.

I would consider historia regum britanniae fundamental, even though it's not really strongly celtic.

It goes without saying that one's knowledge of Arthurian legends is not complete without Le Morte De Arthur and Chrétien de Troyes, even though I hate the french and their influence.

As you explore the origins and roots of "British" legends you'll see more clearly the demarcation line between Norman and pre-norman. Indeed, the "classic" version of Arthur that "everyone knows" is a French fanfiction that smashed together a hundred British legends into one vaguely french-british setting and had everyone fuck each others wives.

Lets call a spade a spade here for a moment, the French, or at least "Norman" obsession with cuckoldry (being a cuck and inflicting it on others weighted in equal measure) goes back to their earliest writings. They did not find a story abroad nor write one at home without thinking "how can someone's wife get fucked in this?" and that tradition carries on to today. Lancelot is a mary sue fanfiction character who comes out of nowhere, has TWO magic swords, and fucks Arthur's wife. Percival is nearly equally insufferable (even his blended half Welsh version, Peredur, is the most autistic faggot in the world).
Every time a french author gets a hold of a story it doesn't matter if it's set in the fucking bronze age everyone's suddenly jousting and the author's pet character jousts the best and then he sits outside a girl's window for 47 days, crosses ten deserts, and fucks someone's wife.

I'm not kidding when I say you will encounter multiple instances of someone (the character's pet frenchman) sitting on his horse somewhere brooding (he can't possibly explain himself of course) until he's approached by King Arthur's dumb smelly knights, whereupon he jousts with every single knight in england, in a row, and beats them all without a scratch, then finally deigns to explain what he's doing and becomes Arthur's "top guy".
>>
>>64744191
One interesting note between the interpretations of Arthur is that the more Celtic a group was, the more sympathetic the figure of Mordred was portrayed, whether he was or wasn't Arthur's incest baby with his Goth sister.
There was even an ancient expression that went something like "Have Arthur's Strength, and Mordred's Good Will", Mordred was literally used as an example of kindness and gentle rulership, a hero of the "people" seen as merciful and intelligent.
In some stories Morgan is or isn't Arthur's sister, is or isn't his lover, and is or isn't his enemy, and all variations therein, with Mordred similarly being either an incest baby or not and evil or not, and every combination. The french seemed pretty set on making Morgan an evil witch and Mordred an evil bastard, which may have been anti-celt propaganda, obvious in it's day. The celts seemed to take Mordred as a kind of modern Connla, Cu Culainn's son, tragically killed by his own father after a long estrangement. Mordred is even classically killed with a spear, quite odd considering Arthur normally uses a sword, and dies somewhat like Cu himself, cleaving his last opponent down with his raised sword, ignoring his state of disembowelment for an extended period. In some versions Mordred even has protective spells woven over him like Lleu of welsh myth (compare the Irish Lugh), and Lleu was famously struck with a magic spear afterwards and lay in the arms of his weeping father.

We in the anti french club are big simps for "Medrawt".

The Welsh figure of Gwydion presents an interesting knot to untangle in the formation of Arthurian legends.

Gwyd is a wizard of high position in the court of the magical king Math, who must be attended by a virgin girl at all times by magical law. Gwyd helps his brother to start a war to claim the girl by magical subterfuge, and in the war Gwyd kills the previous generation's Arthur Archetype hero, Pryderi.

Gwyd, after receiving one of the funniest and most disturbing temporary punishments in mythology, is rehabilitated and permitted back into the court, where a new virgin attendant is being chosen. His sister steps up and because she's not a virgin, math curses her to instantly give birth to a deformed child which she abandons. There is an obvious implication that Gwyd is the father, and he pities the little creature and raises it, using his vast magic to turn it into a strong boy, then a hero as if to replace the one he killed, this is the hero Lleu.

I'm not just going off in a crazy direction here. Gwyd shows a kind of Prototype of many of the Arthurian characters and their dramas. To Pryderi and Math, he is the Evil Mordred to their combined Arthur, the "court Traitor", he and his brother play the parts of "Merlin and Uther" in using magic to steal a woman who belongs to a king meant to be their ally. Gwyd fathers an incestuous child with his witch of an enemy (making him Arthur and his sister Morgan) but then raises the child like Morgan and seeks his birthright, BUT he morphs into the Merlin-as-Arthur's-friend role seamlessly.
He is also Loki (not just in his trickster who causes a war in the court of the staff wielding wizard king way, but also in the way that they both sire similar monsters, one of which they actually give birth to as a woman) AND he is Odin (Particularly with the translation of his name as "G-Wood-Awn" or "G-Woad-Awn", he's even a master of Birds).
>>
>>64744616
Interestingly Gwyd's monster children get happy endings because Math (who is also Odin) adopts and takes care of them.

Fans of Elden Ring are actually familiar with one of Gwyd's monster children: Blaiddwn, who's a tragic hero in that game.
Fans of Berserk will be familiar with Lleu, even if they don't know it, as Guts' son was a direct and intentional reference to him (and the symbolic threads go deep there), though Guts rejects him more like the mother in the original story, for a while anyway.

Dont know, he never mentioned something like that but he did explain famous "microwave oven under wooden mockup" myth: It wasnt an oven, it was a spoofer supplied by VTI (Military-Technical Institute) that mimicked radar signature. When soldiers were interviewd by some reporters about what they do, they said "we shine microwaves so they bomb them, not us" and reporters, not knowing the difference, thought they ment ovens. They actually tie into OP about ground reflecting radars because they were used to spoof smaller signatures. If anybody is interested I can write more about it later

>Large carnivores were distributed uniformly across the globe? Is this true? I don’t know why, but I always had the impression that India and especially subsaharan Africa got really unlucky with their local megafauna, and those further north got lucky with much more favorable conditions vis a vis being eaten. Though I guess it could just be that Europeans hunted the carnivores to extinction.

Carnivorous megafauna in the northern Eurasia and North America died out because the entire ecosystem collapsed with the end of the Ice Age while the climate in Africa and India is more or less similar as it was in the Pleistocene. Europe and America had massive carnivorous hyenas, lions, saber toothed cats, dire wolves, cave bears, lions and leopards and for the most part their entire ecosystem depended on mammoths generating mammoth steppe by preventing forests from growing.

When humans/climate change killed off the mammoths the environment changed completely, the other herbivores that evolved to live in steppe environments died out and all the hyperspecialized predatory megafauna that ate them lost out to more generalist carnivores like modern wolves, bears and mustelids. It's also easier to find food in the winter time in tropical climates so they were less reliant on hunting megafauna to survive year round which is why you still have elephants, rhinos and huge ungulates etc in Africa or India but they were hunted to extinction in Eurasia and America

Is the bridge sealable so they can't get in without explosives? Do they have like a small arms weapons locker with shotguns and other close quarter weapons? Well the first winning move is not to be part of an illegal "shadow fleet" trying to evade sanctions doing things like and changing the flag and vessel name on the go. If you've failed that then cut the engines, surrender, and do what they tell you. That's it. That's the only good move once the helicopter is on it's way. Anything else is giving them an excuse to escalate. Even if your vessel is armed with a smuggled aboard .50 of some sort you'd have to be an absolute retard to dare to even point it at US forces. Smuggling weapons aboard and daring to aim them at US forces is just going to get you killed.

Now get off 4chan until you turn 18.

Yes. His successor, Armando, was vastly superior as a general, and the contrast between them is obvious.

Cadorna was essentially a nepo baby: arrogant, stubborn, and often contemptuous of those beneath him. Educated in outdated Napoleonic doctrine, he proved to be one of the worst generals Italy ever fielded, rigidly applying theory while ignoring reality on the ground.

A clear example of his stubborn, pompous nature:

He planned a frontal assault against a small plateau with steep sides. The enemy was deeply entrenched, the approaches were heavily mined, and their positions offered excellent fields of fire for machine guns.

Two low-ranking soldiers broke formation to inform him that they were locals. They knew of several dry stream beds that could be used to reach the top of the plateau while avoiding both the mines and the machinegun fire. They even knew the routes through a small forest that led directly to these access points.

Instead of acknowledging or even considering this valuable tactical intelligence, Cadorna had them court-martialed for speaking to him directly. He then went ahead with the planned frontal attack, which failed catastrophically and cost many lives. Undeterred, he repeated the assault (twice more!!) after heavy artillery bombardments, eventually taking the plateau at an enormous and unnecessary human cost.

I got a draco and it was so fucked I couldnt even put an attero arms mount or TWS dogleg on it, that being said it works with a tdi x47 and looks sick, but for a first time entry point into AKs I definitely wouldnt suggest a gun that might very well be way out of spec.
The M92/M85 are literally just buy gun, attach brace, and you're good to go with an easy optic mounting option.
If the draco was my first AK I might very well have thrown my hands up in disgust and bought an AR.

See, you did all that shit. You think that every Zastava gun is perfect?
>Lowered expectations is all I was getting at, the draco line was mostly a joke

Yeah that's fair. Either way I would say that zastava definitely has better qc than cugir.

Either way it is safe to assume if you get an AK and want to customize it you're gonna have to fucking hit it with a hammer at some point.

>it's not a HUGE deal
this is pretty huge deal unless you're using a plain dot, and this is why a fucked rail mount isn't always the way to go
