You know where jews got slaves to sell in the Americas?
It wasn't White guys running around in foreign jungles in armor getting diseases. It was going up to chiefs and asking
>Do you have any prisoners/slaves that you want to sell for guns?

It's not the Cultural Revolution, retard. They probably get some combination of fined, demoted, and/or blocked from advancement. Like any other military.

303 is apparently quite hard to load with weak necks. People here in New Zealand use the more common 308 sized projectiles and they work with pretty minimal velocity loss
>>
>>65046082
What’s your Oal, bullet length, and load grain weight? Also if those are the hollow base lehighs maybe put one on your scale hollow base up and measure the weight of the water it’ll hold…. Would want to add that to the capacity in the cartridge..
>>
>>65046095
>Id have to do some reading on the maks, to see how spicy they can go.
A quick glance suggests it could handle .380 +p levels quite easily. The basic 95 grain 9x18 Makarov loading is about 1,000 fps with 250 lb/ft muzzle energy. The basic 90 grain .380 +p is around 1,100 fps and 260 lb/ft.
Generally speaking.
Your milage may vary.

You can convert berdan to boxer, but its a royal bitch to do. Theres new made stuff you can get thats boxer, or once fired if youre not a pussy. Try and get some greek surplus, has HXP on the base. Boxer primed, thick cases.

Measure out a new factory load/properly sized+trimmed reload before firing, then measure the fired case OAL to get an idea of how much headspace you have.

Or take it to a competent gunsmith and have them do it for you.

>>65046635
You can get around that by annealing periodically. 303 isnt any harder than any other necked rifle cart, use plenty of lube on sizing and youll be fine.

Ought to use .311 or .312 bullets, .308s might be too small for the throat

Lee undersized dies are awesome!
The brass failed even after being resized with my RCBS die. Lee "U" die and they're good to continue with the rest of my brass.
Unsure if I'm going to do all of my .357 brass in them like I do my .45 Autos, we'll see.

They will use ANYthing they can against you, even if it’s a lie, it doesn’t make sense, they will try to win. The prosecutor doesn’t care about justice, they want a win.

Self defense cases going to court is rare but if it does they want your ass

NTA but no American has ever been convicted for his choice in hardware. It didn't work when Thomas Binger tried incriminating Rittenhouse for using FMJ instead of JHP. It didn't work against Philip Brailsford for having "YOU'RE FUCKED" engraved on the ejection port cover. From what I gather, this misconception stems from the Soon Ja Du trial where the prosecution cited that her .38 calibre [revolving] pistol had been augmented with a decreased trigger pull weight. What the lead paint generation failed to grasp was Du's lawyer telling the jury the shooting was an accident but tried to convince them that's not involuntary manslaughter because drawing on the perpetrator [Latasha Harlins] was justified in the first place. Her conviction demonstrated that you can't have your cake and eat it too, you either claim self defense or you don't

I carry HST because the bullet is well constructed enough for sufficient barrier penetration without a bonded jacket, not because some Boomer told me using the same ammo as law enforcement will exempt me from some piece of shit prosecutor's schizo theories

A cheap piece is a cheap piece, and revolvers are inherently more reliable in some ways.
On that note, this was my carry gun about a decade ago. Heavy but comfy to shoot.

Just bought this little bastard for 140$ but i dont know how i should sharpen my straight razors with it. Should i have the wheel turning towards the edge or towards the spine? Should i just try to do modified x strokes?
38 replies and 1 image omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>65048073
To be clear, when i use my flat whetstones to sharpen/hone my straight razors, i do a few sets of runs on each side followed by x strokes on each side and then repeating. But even when i start with 800 grit or lower then move up to 4000 and 8000 grit, i cant get my straight razors that sharp, even if i spend a fucking hour running them through the prescribed process. So im hoping i can speed up the process with my rotating wheel whetstone. I just ordered 3 new gold dollars from alixprs for like 10$ so im hoping they will be a good option for learning on, but im still not sure if i should just try to replicate the standard flat whetstone process on my rotating whetstone or if i need to be doing something completely different.
>>
>>65048058
In the context of being used by an inexperienced user trying to do delicate work...yes; In the context of being used by someone proficient with it...no. So to satisfy your pedantic ass, no, electric sharpening wheel, in a vacuum, in and of itself, isnt too fast for the task it was created to do. However, if given to a novice, chances of said novice fucking up his job (removing too much material and fucking up the geometry) is much higher with it than him doing the same job on a stone in the same amount of time
>>
>>65048195
I already know how to sharpen razors on whetstones, i just dont have the patience for it bc i dont think im gifted in the consistency department which is needed for succeeding in flat whetstone use. I think i actually would be more consistent using the wen whetwheel i bought than i would be using my flat whetstones. Im thinking if i swap out the 200grit wheel whetstone that comes with the product and swap in a 3000grit wheel whetstone, i can do the heavy lifting setting the bevel more quickly and then try finishing carefully on my 8000 and 12000 flat whetstones.
>>
>>65048246
Im op btw
>>
>>65048246
Well that could be one way of doing things. Out of curiosity, since you have experience with manual sharpening, but say you lack consistency...did you look into fixed angle sharpening systems?

Post weapons/ships/vehicles/equipment/whatever that was the ABSOLUTE PEAK... for all of 20 seconds.

Example: Kropatscheks, Portuguese especially, were the absolute best rifles for a handful of years, and then rapidfire developments overtook it practically overnight.

Surprised noone posted the obvious thing, a Lebel rifle. Outranging literally any other infantry weapon while not obstructing view and giving off position by huge clouds of white smoke for 2 years until Germans did the same thing but better, and then everyone else too.
>>

Everyone that shot an MP40 full auto knows that it's Superior to any of the Russian garbage that came out of world war II. I'm not going to shit talk the Russian garbage too much because quantity is quality but it's not the best submachine kind of world war two. The MP40 does hold that distinction. Just fire one and you'll fucking know why.
>>
>>65047250
It's a heavy pig that has near zero recoil because of that and relatively modern controls but the rate of fire is a little anemic
That's my take from shooting an MP38 and MP40 before
>>
>>65047181
The cartridge perhaps, but the rifle itself was obsolete from its conception

How do you think it's going to go down? I imagine there won't be an infantry presence until it's practically leveled.

A fundamental problem I haven't seen discussed enough that limits Trump's options in ways America's opponents realize are how he launched the war illegally and undemocratically. Like, the point has been discussed by constitutional rule of law types and so on and god bless 'em, but what I don't see come up is the sheer, raw PRACTICAL value of doing that. Previous presidents made their cases to the public and Congress. They got authorization (even if Congress didn't use """war""" as a word per se, an "authorization for the use of military force" is effectively the same thing), and they got a majority of the public onboard. That isn't just "the right thing to do" for some abstract fairy moralshit reason, though it's that too, it's that it makes sure the country is onboard if things don't go as well as hoped and more sacrifice is required. It creates staying power, which is very important because that affects even NEEDING the staying power at all. If an enemy knows that most of America is behind a conflict in a bipartisan manner like with Iraq, then they may still hope to blunt that but they also know that they can't trivially wait it out. Sure after 10 or 20 years and enough cost the winds will shift, but that's not nothing and certainly pushes for diplomacy.

But here Trump has no consent. Super majorities hate it. It's 100% partisan. The GOP is looking at mid-term obliteration, and there is zero chance a Democrat House (or even Senate, which to even be in play is a wild change) goes along with it. In turn, Iran knows it has <9 months it needs to hold out, maybe less.
>>65047282
Yeah, this exactly. Trump has forced Iran to realize it both has and needs the strategic and financial leverage.

He's not wrong.

The US doesn't go around claiming to be morally superior and that's why you should buy their weapons.

They just have the best weapons.

France tries to sell their weapons as the "moral" option for weapons, when it's just bullshit to make morons believe that they're getting one over on America.

>>
>>65048238
Sorry, but when an objective look at the past 40 years tells a particular story, and that story is about France constantly being the one to fuck it up.

Do you think France is just SOOO unlucky that any time they work on a larger European defense program it falls apart, yet somehow it's never Frances fault its always the other party, whether it's Germany, Italy, England, whoever it is, it's through no fault of France.
>>
>>65046121
I am pointing out whataboutism because it is, you are mad about it because I can say one word that instantly shows how your entire argument is fallacious bullshit. I don't give a shit about the rest of whatever regional Indian politics you're talking about. Whatever the reasons they are factually a Russian ally (you openly admit this) which was my point. They are not a reliable partner for Europeans nor do they care about European defence, which is the whole topic being discussed.
