Bulgaria now has F-16's. Does this change the balance of power in the Black Sea region?

There's a common misconception among eastern Euros that having a sovereign currency magically helps industry or something.

Realistically if Russia's goal is to return to power in the Black Sea then its primary focus should be on naval aviation, ground based anti-air and anti-ship missiles, ground based air defense, and missile boats. Anything else would be a vanity project.

>the balance of power is that russia is backed into a tiny corner and everyone else is on nato's side, it's just that nobody else is yet willing to get directly involved in the war, and quite frankly their help would be more appreciated on land than on sea, as ukraine pretty much has that covered by now, taking control of the northern black sea without even really having a navy.

Russia is more backed into a hole than a tiny corner

Why was the Longbow in use for literally 300 years when it simply could not penetrate armor? I have watched several experiments with modern reproductions and never once has it achieved penetration of plate armor. In this latest one they can't even pen at point-blank range a late medieval brigandine and cheap Sallet helmet which was worn by poorfag troops. Rich nobles wore high-end bespoke plate made from tempered steel with every surface calculated to deflect blows and it would have zero chance against that. The amount of training that went into using the bow doesn't seem worth the results.

Close combat was absolutely expected of English archers, virtually ever major battle they are in has them engaging on the flanks. The smartest thing the English DID was realize that you could have infantry that worse armor, carriers around swords or even pollaxes, and have them shoot people.
>>
>>64704825
Archers in Europe wore almost as much armor as they could afford, anon. You could fully expect to see longbowmen in retinues, or who just had the money, turning out in plate legs, brigandines, mail, and helmet, with a sword, buckler, and gauntlets tucked into their belt.
Crossbowmen around the continent were the same.

Not wearing armor is strictly a function of wealth, not archers being archers, hence the swiss largely having fuck all in the way of armor despite literally 90% of them being very aggressive melee troops.

The rest of the world it's more of the same, plus conscription of the poor to fight being far more common (China), plus climate concerns.
>>
>>64684834
armor expensive, so you poke hole in those without it from distance, it also stops horses and generally slows down attack, poking holes in those without armor first is important, you don't want them to help men in expensive armor, so you can focus on poking hole in armor :D
>>
>>64684834
Armor is expensive anon, farmers don't wear it.

Dinosaurs are not actually birds though. We have no idea what they would really be like biologically. Late Cretaceous species would have had almost 150 million yeats of evolution in their specific form. Imagine what people might be like 149,700,000 years from now.
>>

> Its interesting how maneaters only pop up in bunga-bunga lands, particularly pajeetistan. Meanwhile in white lands random famers with slings exterminated lions and elephants for eating their sheep and barley respectively.

Large carnivores were distributed uniformly across the globe? Is this true? I don’t know why, but I always had the impression that India and especially subsaharan Africa got really unlucky with their local megafauna, and those further north got lucky with much more favorable conditions vis a vis being eaten. Though I guess it could just be that Europeans hunted the carnivores to extinction.

It still blows my mind that jeets share territory with bengal tigers, and every now and then one of them gets snatched up. And subsaharans always run a nonzero risk of getting fucked up by one of like 15 different species of killers. Imagine trying to go to sleep and you hear the cackling of hyenas and whistling of wild dogs out of your window.

These movies don't even try to have internal consistency with their combat and power dynamics.

Movie 1:
Navi have superior genetics and bodies but 3 different battles demonstrate that the training and tech of humans gives them a massive advantage. In the final battle Navi get a decent surprise off but then start getting whooped, it's only when nature itself turns against the humans that the Navi win.

Movie 2:
Recoms now exist, with the the superior weapons and tactical training combined with navi genetic superiority they should be unstoppable.
No
Neyteri goes angry mom mode and kills them even easier than she did normal humans in the last movie.
Not one recom or normal human scores a kill in this entire movie outside quaritch killing jake's son.

Movie 3:
See movie 2

James Cameron is a fucking idiot.

How to "win" against america
>During initial invasion suffer 500 to 1 casualty ratios
>surrender your capital within a month
>run and hide in caves using women and children as human shields knowing your enemy cares about them more than you do
>Let america raise an entire generation of your people while you continue hiding
>wait 20 years for american to get bored and realize your civilization isn't worth saving from itself and leave
>come back to capital chimping out shooting guns into the air
>go on every internet forum and claim you defeated america
>Use this to imply goat heardes won a conventional war and therefore tech tactics and experience do not matter in war (unless china has new tech in which case it's all that matters and america is finished)

And what's wrong with that? Are you an eco marxist or something? Are people only allowed to buy vegan cookery books and organic hemp hats now?

Without people consuming, people loose jobs, people are poor, people don;t get to have things they want and the people who make those things are unemployed. Every single great museum has a private collection donated to it at it's heart,

Without consumers there would be no film, no radio, no tv, no home computers, no nice food, no work, nothing, just endless grey poverty.

You are poverty death and socialism which leads to tyranny.

Boring topic but I'm finally happy with what I've cobbled together from different components I've acquired over the years. Covers 5.56, 7.62, and 40mm bores.

I'm a milfag who works for a living so no 9mm handgun for me. Does double duty for both my personal rifle and my issued weapons.

>1. Repurposed Otis 5.56/9mm Defender cleaning kit pouch
Not the only thing that'll work, but I like that it clamshells open. Got it as a gift. I pulled most of the extra shit out of it because having pull through cables and bore snakes in addition to a full on sectional cleaning rod is just redundant. Use one or the other.

>2. Two rags
Just a cut up t shirt. One for wiping shit off with, one for laying small parts on. PSA: You can, in fact, wash these every once in a while.

>3. Otis stiff bristle brush
Have gone back and forth on carrying a brass one too but I've either never needed it or the shit was baked on so hard (M240 gas plug) I had to use a scraper.

>4. Plastic pick
For all the things a long, slim, pointy object is good for when trying to clean tight spaces.

you're the only one being obsessive though, officers who are not expected to take part in the action not knowing how to shoot is normal, not bad, and if it bothers you, it means you have a below-average IQ.
>>
>>64699193
this was true in the napoleonic era and MAYBE early WW1 when methods of fast long-range communication were either nonexistent or extremely difficult, expensive or rare.

in a modern era, if you are putting the thinking head of your army into the increasingly accurate and intelligent line of fire, you are a fucking retard.
see: russian officers constantly getting domed by snipers, drones, missiles strikes and precise artillery because their underlings are bad at taking initiative and performing missions without their boss standing at least a few km's behind them.

you don't need to stand next to your men to communicate your plan of battle, thus you won't, because it's pointless, suicidal and actively hurting the rest of the grunts in your army because they are now forced to continue fighting without your leadership. the morale trade-off is not fucking worth it anymore.

It's almost time for $0 tax stamps. You can finally, legally, have fun. Buy a $400 P1S from Bambu, some Pa6-cf filament from polymaker, and get to work.

Some 3dp2a guys released the FTN 5.0 suppressors recently. There are suppressors for pistols, pcc's, and rifles. Let's talk about the last one.

To start out you will need ONE of these muzzle devices:
>Breek threaded muzzle+ Castle Shield <-Best one
>KAK slimline micro flash can
>1/2x28 to 3/4x16 thread adapter

Now you can print an insert that will attach the suppressor body to the muzzle device. The breek insert is a clamshell design. Put the two halves onto the castle shield and screw on the suppressor assembly. The other two will need some epoxy.

IF you want the suppressor to be permanent, epoxy the threads of the insert and suppressor body. It'll help with the longevity and make a better gas seal.

The main body will NEED to be supported by a sleeve. You can print the sleeve, but the lifespan is shorter with a lot of restrictions. You can use a 56mm ID and 60mm OD aluminum OR carbon fiber tube with jb weld. You can also use fiberglass and resin wrapped around the tube, but this is less effective.

I'm convinced those are honeypots. If those cores are shipped as pictured then they are illegal. Solvent traps have some kind of defense, but even the cups make it really sketchy. If you lack a lathe then disposable 3d printed suppressors are probably your safest bet for unregistered suppressors.
